You sir must be younger. Pittsburgh 16 doesn’t even register on the cold scale. Colts game this year was no fun, but not really that bad in the grand scheme of things. Giants 07 was raining so hard and so sideways that I had to turn my back to the field.
-
Second worst weather I recall. 07 giants was the absolute pits.
-
No. The weather this season has sucked. Cardinals game? Epically bad. Jets/Raiders in 92/93? Effing COLD. Bills falcons 92? Downpour.

No. I’ve been pretty clear about the OP site for quite awhile. Bills rejected downtown because of financial considerations. Here’s my guess for the state of the state: Kathy announces that she’s reached a deal with the Bills; assembly and senate will be on board with the idea as part of the budget process, and the Bills get the ball rolling on construction in advance of budget passage (hopefully, for the budget, by April 1 of this year). EC’s portion of the deal I’m not so sure about - could be as simple as deeding ECC South lands to a shell corp for construction purposes; could entail financial contribution. Likely will require leg approval, but I heard that Poloncarz has been (very smartly) setting aside stadium money in the budget for years. (Which everyone would know if they actually bothered to read it.) But my sense is that this is a done deal because I know of someone involved in the process who is on the way out (for a good reason). That wouldn’t happen if there was trouble regarding the deal.

Is there a reason Josh didnt feel like taking checkdowns yesterday?

That throw to diggs was there. I don’t blame him one bit for that one. DB made a nice play. It happens. -
The Dawkins play went for a touchdown last year. We had probably half a dozen snaps in the redone immediately prior to that play, so I don't blame Daboll for trying something different. Unfortunately the Falcons swallowed it up. And unfortunately the whole stadium knew it was going to Dawkins because it was the first time he reported as eligible all year, and it was after Doyle was reporting as eligible as the extra TE. So maybe run it with Doyle next time. Same situation, by the way, on the next snap. Moss checked in and played a split role. Whole stadium knew it was QB sweep time. And we still scored. But again, we had tons of snaps down there and there's only so much in the proverbial bag of tricks.

This. He was dealing on the first drive. Three drops. The Diggs drop was particularly egregious. Two INTs—particularly the pick to start the second half—we’re bad luck. The third appeared to be a miscommunications with Beasley. I’m not worried about Allen in the least.

Anyone else sensing a Bates dilemma?

Hard for me to tell only watching the game on TV. I'd say LG b/c it seemed like the running game picked up after the shuffle. That, of course, could be due to the fact that the right side was put back together and Dion Dawkins played maybe his best game as a pro. -

Both. He flipped when Boettger was injured. Three of the remaining four linemen changed position following that injury. Dawkins came in at LT. -
All three runs will be in the highlight reel that is played when his day in Canton arrives. That said, the best run was Dallas. The most meaningful was the NE run.

That was the moment I knew that Josh Allen was going to be something in this league.
-
Remover the 47-3 shellacking in Baltimore to start the Allen era? Allen body slammed Judon on a sideline after a play. Judon took a PI against Allen a bit later. The two have had it out for each other since then.

Week 16, Bills v. Cheats, 12/26/21 - GAME BALLS
SectionC3 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
The whole team. Huge win and had to travel on Christmas weekend. Every single one of them. Special mention to Allen, McKenzie, Dawkins, and Diggs. He had some clean holds -
No, but it's good insurance in case it pops up on Sunday. Haack and Bass hang out together outside of the stadium. Hopefully they knock that off for the next little while. If one gets COVID, then the other might be a good bet for it, too. Time to lock things down and focus on football and nothing else.

KC gameplan all day long. Tight splits. Prioritize protection. Selective deep shots. Play action. Problem is that it’s Friday and they may have worked something completely different all week. I’m happy Beasley went out early. Better than having him go today and having had to scrap his part of the plan if they were planning on ball control passing to extend the run game and to get the ball out fast with the makeshift OL. So maybe the loss of Davis won’t require as big an adjustment.

I can tell you living in the same neighborhood as some of them that the caution that you’re talking about is not occurring.
-
Nobody’s assuming transmission. The point is that there might be an increased possibility of transmission.
-
Just read the NY Post. Allen’s GF was hanging with Beasley’s wife at the game on Sunday. Not good.

Me too. A lot of these guys have kids in schools. So do I. It’s sort of bubbling in OP schools—two in one building, three in another, a few more in a third—every day. Personally I think it spreads on the bus, which is why I’m worried about it coming home to some of these guys and then spreading within the team. And, on top of that, I suspect that at least some of them had family in town last week for Christmas. So that’s another (football) concern.
-
Same with me. I disagree with certain views that he holds, and I’m frustrated by some of the stubbornness in some parts of our society. But I would never wish ill on someone who simply has an opinion different from mine. Football is secondary. I sincerely hope the guy gets healthy, stays healthy, and that he and his family can enjoy Christmas.
