  1. I had the exact same thought
  2. I am debating where to watch, might start at home, then to a few different watering holes with some buddies. Heard on Wingo show yesterday and Tuesday are the two biggest days for vasectomies..makes sense. BTW, congrats to the Orange fans out there, time for your run?
  3. where they got paid the most?
  4. Okay, just made the plunge..Rhode Island -2, standard 10% vig. Did not quite go 100% of the account, but close. Cmon Rhode Island, let me have some fun rest of the trny! If I win this, you can get dollars to donuts UB getting some of my action that night. MACAction..love it!!!
  5. Agreed, and you also stated the car was worth more than what you paid the minute you drove off the lot...the very definition of a great deal, when most people say car goes DOWN by 10% the minute you drive off the lot. deal.Paying what you could have sold the car for would have been a good deal, paying what the car was worth plus a profit for the dealer would be a "standard deal" no? I don't think I am making my observation well here, and that's my fault. It's not that the car industry is "fooling" us, or that we are all lemmings. It is that somehow they have made the experience so god awful, and price cars in such a convoluted manner, and all the other crap they throw at you like processing fees, weatherization etc...that somehow we all still come out of there feeling like we did good! It has just constantly amazed me. BTW, my father owned an import car dealership 50's through the 70's, and then sold cars for dealers through the mid 90's. And while many things have remained the same in that business, many many things have obviously changed dramatically. (edit) not that anyone cares, but just for poops and giggles I googled Lenz Automobiles Niagara Falls, and seems my old man made case law when he sued VW for breach of an oral contract..ha, 1954, and Pops had a VW dealership , along with other imports, based on a handshake! https://casetext.com/case/lenz-v-world-wide-automobiles-corp
  6. man, this bye has been great. Just forfeit the rest of the games Sabres. It is like an obligation now to check the scores.
  7. I know, and that's exactly what I mean..somehow the car industry has made what should be the standard experience and made us all think it is spectacular and above average. Makes sense as we are all on this board and that is what the Bills have done to us well
  8. What was it coined here? BBFS? You got it hard! Lord, I root for Bonnie, then I hear the coach talk and I want them to lose by 100.
  9. SBU!!!!
  10. Caught up..Stockard/Stocker...awesome performance tonight. See, I so so smart, they still up 7! argh now 2! Love this stuff! another Buffalo team screwed on a call
  11. I am a bit behind, but Bonnies up 7 two minutes into 2nd half. Feels like they should be up 16. Dont feel good about that.
  12. again, my point is only that an entire industry has somehow convinced 100% of their customers that they are getting a better deal than the average Joe. I am sure they teach case studies on this B school, it amazes me. I challenge anyone to name even one person they know who says they did not a good a good to a great deal on a car...its amazing
  13. what would a pilot have to do with cargo?
  14. see, everyone gets a deal, some even spectacular! Again, I am not being snarky, but it just amazes me how the car industry has somehow convinced us that 100% of cars purchased are "awesome deals". I know I never bought a car unless it was a great deal.
  15. Think about this..when was the last time you heard this when someone was telling you about their new/recent car purchase. "you know, they just wore me down, and I really didn't know anything, I was tired, so I just said okay, I will take your price.. I think I got a bad deal, but at least I have the car I want" I am telling you its a skill...100% of people who buy cars got a great deal due to(pick your reason here) , and we all leave convinced we won!. Its freaking amazing
  16. But we don't have pick 5 or 6...interesting stuff next couple of weeks
  17. See, its like I said, everyone thinks they get a good deal buying a car., including me!. it's a true skill these guys have, we hate the process, but we all rationalize it was worth it, cause after all" I got a great deal". Genius these guys! Amazing car dealers stay in business when we all cut such great deals
  18. Car dealers, all of them, have a great way of making you think you got a deal! I always remember a sales training class I had a few years back, trainer asked a room of about 40 folks who had bought a car in the last 10 years. Every hand went up. He then asked, who got a good to great deal on said car, every hand went up. What i I have done last couple of cars is understand what I felt my trade in was worth based in research and understand a dealer needs to make money, and a really good idea of the price I was comfortable paying for the new car. Then I just say to the dealer is the all in price For instance, trade in $5k, new car I want for $30k. I tell them I don’t care what price you put on what, I will give you $25K all in, including all garbage processing fees etc, but excluding taxed and tags. I have been been able to get to quick agreement doing that last two times, with no arguing at paperwork over any garbage fees etc.
  19. No one ponied up the $5 , so i took the dogs for a run instead! I did forget about this, and it was a bit windy and definitely chilly today, so think that would be good for Kyle if he threw well in those conditions. http://richmondspiders.com/news/2018/3/13/football-lauletta-teammates-impress-at-spiders-pro-day.aspx
  20. see, thats exactly why that line seems fishy no? This was the Bills getting points at Cinci, at 3-1 and just beating the Falcons in Atlanta, with Cinci only beating the Browns at that point. Everyone piled on the Bills, i stayed away as it just seemed to obvious. I don't bet BB, so don't know if that applies as much to the NCAA Trny. I would have thought this line was more 8-1o points.
  21. But what changes here is the fully guaranteed part..first time I can remember a big contract not having years after the guarantee period. Past contracts would have been 5 yr/$144M/$87 guaranteed. Minnesota still out after 3 if they want, but get the 2 extra if he plays great. This could be the contract we look at in 10 years as the start of shorter, fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL..i am sure the other owners going to be might cranky with the Wolff's on this.
  22. Local Richmond company that just received some venture money..doing very well locally and about to expand ! https://www.carlotz.com/
  23. hmm/ $28M, all guaranteed, nothing on the back end after the three years so he can hit Free Agency again in his prime. New standard for QB contracts? Cousins has defiantly won the "money" game of football
  24. Thought it would be good to have one thread strictly for the tourney. We have 4 threads on various teams/pools, thought this might be more concise. No worries deleting if it seems extraneous. 2 thoughts for today 1) Hate these late starting times for the Buffalo teams. 2) Someone tell me if i am nuts, Rhode Island only giving 1 1/2 to Oklahoma seems like a gift..almost too much of one. Anybody on here bet basketball and can tell me if Vegas is trying to entice me to take Rhode Island? I have a bit in my account from the first half win bet in SB, want to let it all roll on Rhode Island here. But something seems fishy to me
  25. BTW, i thought Sammy would get $13M for 2, so i was wrong. And I have been way wrong on a bunch of stuff lately..no way did I think the Bills could trade Tyrod , or Glenn, so I will just sit back and not make any declarations anymore!!!
