  1. Wyshynski grades on trade day..Sabres D- http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/22594344/nhl-trade-deadline-grading-all-31-teams-moves-non-moves from his article Either way, given the prices for other rentals at the deadline, this was indefensible. (And good luck trying shake off that "player-as-GM" finger-pointing at Jack Eichel when the only player they acquired was his college linemate.) The Sabres needed to do so much more than this, and they didn't.
  2. I thought this show was awesome as well. Hermanns Head was pretty damn good too about this time.
  3. so listen you two fools..we all agree NYC pizza, especially the crust, is the best in the world. This proves what makes it different is the water. I understand hard for a Xavier graduate to grasp that concept, and well Levi just to young to understand much of anything in the world.
  4. Proof its the water
  5. If you buy mussels in the bag(or clams for that matter) they will have a tag on them thats has two dates..harvest date and bag date. I will not buy either one if the harvest date is longer than 5 days.
  6. ahh you youngins..in the Falls in the 70's, a staple of every pizzeria was 50 wings for $5.00, delivered! BTW, the wings at Costco are priced right, come separated, but damn they have been getting smaller and smaller last couple of years. Dont trust @Augieon any of his food opinions, obviously the man has no taste. And it's not Buffalo water that makes the crust(buffalo pizza crust sucks ) , it's NYC water that makes NYC pizza awesome. Proved out by the bagels being the best in NYC as well, both due to the water.
  7. awesome show, great choice agreed two years too long IMHO Jack said the B in Apartment 23..another awesome show, great choice. For me, the best choice would be Luck. Great show revolving around the characters at a horse track in SoCal(Santa Anita) from David Milch, same guy who did Deadwood.. Having spent plenty of my 20's and 30's at the track, thought the show was phenomenal. As thoroughbreds do whether in the field or on the track, 3 horses broke down during the filming of scenes and had to be destroyed. Different opinions on whether they treated/used horses in a harmful manner, but either way the show had too much controversy swirling around it and HBO shut it down after only one season
  8. I did not mean to imply anything other than at the time, almost everyone, including me, was on board for the trade. I was thinking change of scenery and all that. Be imteresting to see now that he is gone if stories start to unfold on how/why he was a bad room guy.
  9. It is all Kanes rep..but in terms of the trade, everything you said is hindsight. I think most on here were fine with the trade back then. I know I was. Myers was stagnant, Lemiuex had stated he would not sign here, not one single person was upset Drew was in the trade, but we fretted a bit about Armia, but also had high hopes for Bogo. Murray lost me with the first for Lehner and the Pysyk trade..that was when I lost hope in his skills and thought process. But man, they got some assets now. I think they did well for themselves..all depending if they can draft well..draft like the Sabres and ya dead! He better hope they make the playoffs, and he has a strong showing in a long run. Pretty apparent what the rest of the league thinks about him no?
  10. Man, we had fun arguing this last year.. So for my "told ya so" 4mer and i were bailing on this team and GMTM early in 2016. Oh man, cant wait to see all empty blue seats next year
  11. So Botterill puts out there he is looking for 4 pieces to try and drive some action? Think that's what is killing our buzz for this trade, for months we have been hearing 4 pieces, then the Nash/Stasny trades.. we just have to accept Kane's rep as a room killer..both places he has played have been toxic rooms
  12. I need to have @JohnC tell me again why I was nuts to be screaming from the top of the mount starting in December of 16 why we needed to trade Kane last year. Just kidding John, i know you came around, just too late LOL!
  13. Kane doesn't resign, it goes to a 2nd. Wow, this deal is freaking awful
  14. 2019 huh? Kanes rep killed this deal. I mean compare this deal to Nash
  15. i know..Sharks have no 2nd or 3rd this year..Kris Baker saying they have some great prospects..and that dude knows his poop.
  16. K, not sure if this should be in pet peeves..but when did it become "cool" for hockey dudes to pronunce Calgary as Cal-Gary. Drives me nuts
  17. GMJB fired if Kane is still on the team at 3?
  18. Instigators just said no one wanting to give up 1st yet.Kane's history and rep prolly hurting his value. Then they went to ask if Eichel moves back #9, and Kris Baker said 100%. Damn, kid got a #15 Winter Classic for XMas, guess that can pair with his #14 Watkins
  19. Kane should be the top target left..looks like Botteril playing poker and holding tight. Sure hope he's not left holding a full deck at 3 PM today. I can see Sabres making hockey trades today too..maybe bringing some talent back and not just prospects/picks
  20. Exports A's? When I smoked, I liked those as a change of pace every once in a while.
  21. Not quite sure what you mean here..but while the CAA is the SEC of FCS, and it can no way hold a candle to any of the power 5 conferences, and for that matter the MAC or Mountain West. I have been a Richmond season ticket holder and CAA fan for 15 years..trust me there is a noticeable difference. That's not to say there are not great coaches, great players, and the occasional team that maybe should be ranked in a Top 25 poll, but overall the two levels cannot be compared.
  22. if you coming to game, i will make the Pernil!
  23. so, GMJB playing the game correct, or is he getting left at the altar? Just finished the Sabre game on NESN, and I am always torn on Jack Edwards. He is so over the top homer, it is actually enjoyable to listen to his call. At one point in the first, a light went on behind the Bruins goalie..Edwards called for the Sabres to be penalized, the NHL was becoming NBA ized, and the Bruins goalie displayed the most amazing concentration EVER! Course, the light was on behind the gaol, and the B's goalie never saw it, but way let that ruin a good a hero story!
