  1. Rome for a few days then a cruise..wife's incentive trip is the cruise..so airfare and cruise all paid for!!!? Have never really done Rome before, so looking forward to it.
  2. I have no idea of his takes or ideas..so there is that. But those must be taken at face value, and not based on which news he watches. And (middle finger emoji to Trump for making the Euro go up today..this guy will be the always be the bane of my existence!!!!!?
  3. cmon DR..that in itself is a hot take. Yes, this sucks. Trump did this on purpose as I go to Italy in a little over a weeks time..and the freaking Euro is rallying vs. the dollar...friggen Trump!!!!! Doing it just to spite me!!!!
  4. of that i know nothing!!!! commercials drive me nuts.
  5. I dunno, maybe I am a tech genius but I have had zero issues with the new app once I figured it out a bit. I only listen on demand ..i download the shows i want to listen to..make sure to hit pause before I switch listening devices..all good. No commercials still on the demand pods.
  6. Interesting factoid. Btw, great follow for really cool historical photos
  7. Would Julio have given some of the $ 47 M back if he had 3 poop seasons? Again, he is playing under a contract he freely negotiated and signed... no CBA rule dictated he signed what he did. Say what hat you want about Sammy ( or Revis) on the field, he signed a contract that ties him up only 3 years..Julio did his for 6. Dummy him, smart Sammy. Just sos ya know, there is no prohibition on then CBA against guaranteed contracts. And if the Falcons said we need 6 to spread the cap, just make the last 3 years at players option, not team option. He signed team option deal.... deal with it.
  8. @DC Tomthank you for that, I did not know that was how it worked. Always assumed hearing all the ads on WTOP for active clearance people etc to work at the various GCs meant they were portable. Now I will sound a little less dumb talking to those folks! again, thx for the info!
  9. I have never bet a favorite money line, and even last 10 years never bet a favorite at all! I dont bet bet win totals , but usually take a flyer on teams to win divisions. Two years ago had the Jags.. one year to early! last year had the Browns?,,,maybe a year early?
  10. I 100% disagree with this. Players, Agents, GM’s , Owners , coaches all understand contracts are what is guaranteed and signing bonus,,, and that once dead cap hit becomes manageable that player could be released etc. realistically , they could cut him day after contract was signed. In in this case , Julio has essentially been guaranteed $47 million to sign a six year deal obligating him to the team, and the team has the right to pay him another 10m this year, another 12m next year.etc. It’s a team option, and he and his agent understood 100% that is what it was when they signed it... this was not mandated by a rookie pool, or a CBA, or any other rule. It was negotiated freely between the club and Julio and his agent. Now they have to live by the deal they agreed to, freely, and don’t like it. If they don’t like he can be cut before week 1, write into contract salary for upcoming years guaranteed 1st day of league year. Dont have sympathy for him. OBJ oth, has a contract he could not freely negotiate being a first round pick, so his stance I get. No way if I am OBJ do I set foot on a practice field until I get my “FREELY” negotiated next deal done. Stupid tag complicates things, but I get that reasoning.
  11. So do I!! Especially love the one last year when the guy claimed to be a “ sharp “ living in Behas making his living on betting NFL games and swore books always wanted 50% on each team, and moved the line to make it so? last year, opening weekend Browns getting 7 at home against the Stillers , like +320 moneyline. I loaded up pretty good on the money line , Browns leading in 2nd half and lose by 3. ? should have taken that as an omen. Something like 8 of my first 10 bets covered , but lost the game. Dems the breaks sometimes! BTW, all I bet is dogs on the moneyline. If I like the favorite I don’t play the game.
  12. yep, you got it in regards to Julio..but some players are absolutely hosed , and for those, i side with them.. For example, I am 100% with OBJ that he should not play this year under his 5th year option...that is a contract he had no say in...now whatever he signs this year he needs to live with..as Jones should be doing
  13. Just a heads up from a gambler...the points come into play less than 20% of the time. Bet who you think will win the game. If that happens to be the underdog, bet the moneyline and do not take the points. 20% of the time that will absolutely burn you, but overall you will be much further ahead. For me, seems like the 20% all happened last year as I got absolutely crushed playing money lines instead of tyrning a tidy profit taking the points..but understand the stats and will continue to play the moneylines
  14. AJ is 67% ATS, Brady 59%...just sayin
  15. almost all 1st round contracts are guaranteed for at least three years..top picks all 4 years "The entire contracts of the first 21 picks of the first round were fully guaranteed in 2016 and 2017."
  16. I guess this is where I differ. Jones signed his contract in 15 ..at that time he agreed to the 6 years under contract, at the clubs whim of course, in exchange for all the bonus money paid up front. Here is his contrack from Spotrac ulio Jones signed a 5 year, $71,256,045 contract with the Atlanta Falcons, including a $12,000,000 signing bonus, $47,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $14,251,209. In 2018, Jones will earn a base salary of $10,500,000, while carrying a cap hit of $12,900,000 and a dead cap value of $4,800,000. So his comp this year is $14M. not the 10 everyone wants to say it is. Remember, in no other sport (with rare exceptions) are people given signing bonuses, and that needs to be factored into his AAS. He knew then in exchange for the $47M in guarantees, he was committing to the team for 6 years. The team was committing $47M..they could cut him in training camp of year 1 if they wanted. He and his agent knew this when signed...nothing has changed. Now he does not like the deal..tough. Negotiate one that lets you walk after 3 years then, and realize your signing bonus goes down in return for guarantee salary. Negotiate a player option in year 4 ..any number of things..but realize you will give something up in order to get. It is what he signed for is all i am saying. Now the guys who get screwed are UDFA and the like. They are stuck with Exclusive right and Restricted free agency status that is just brutal to their abiloity to get a fair, market rate deal. I will say again, some UFA needs to press hard to get a percentage of cap deal guarantedd for 3 years and then the market will start to turn
  17. OT here, but this is interesting to me Tom. Are you saying if you have a Top Secret clearance and change jobs the new employer/department needs to clear you again? Does it matter if going private to private vs public etc?Just that it happens quicker? Thx for the info in advance.
  18. No such thing as good Loganberry..they are all sickly sweet!!? You and Shady both have lawns you kick kids off of, perfect friend match I yell ya!150 miles nothing between friends!
  19. Funny, i would have assumed the chat was all bots.
  20. Rams need to go all in to sell the PSLs needed to fund that stadium. They need a winner next two years..and big. Every seat in the joiny has a license..premiums are at $100K..and 25% of the stadium is premium. http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-rams-chargers-psl-20180306-story.html
  21. you two live fairly close to each other...maybe a friend connection? And BTW, I will take a Taco Bell over Mighty Taco 100% of the time, No to LaNova, no to Loganberry,
  22. Just finished episode 3 , season 3 of The Tunnel on PBS( and amazon) , this show is freaking great. https://www.amazon.com/The-Tunnel-Season-1/dp/B01HAOT9V4
  23. Couple of points here 1) players B word they don't get guaranteed contracts..they do. Its guaranteed for the amount of the bonuses they get..teams give the bonus in exchange for the years. Cant have it both ways. I think the contract Sammy signed will become the norm..short term, realistically all guaranteed... 2) Longer terms deals to QB's and such will be based on a percentage of the cap, rather than a fixed dollar figure per year..
  24. the house I grew up in till 17 yrs old done been bulldozed( Love Canal). BTW, I am the exact opposite of the OP where I want to live.. DC is where I'd rather stayI get allergic smelling hay
  25. No, that message was simplistic and juvenile, hence the lack of any kind of response.
