  1. Y'know, there are a lot of complimentary words you could use to describe Condi Rice. "Babe" isn't one of them.
  2. Go home, you drunk kitty, and tell your wife if she doesn't like something then SHE can leave.
  3. Then you need to spend more time here. There's MUCH MORE retarded stuff than this.
  4. Must...not...make...kettle...comment...
  5. And other than Blzrul, who amongst us doesn't? I hate when stuff like this comes out. We're all supposed to stand in judgement of a guy who's trying to get some tail when getting tail should be a priority for everyone.
  6. Good question, and it comes with a very simple answer. As a country, we're lazy-ass morons and we need the media to tell most of us how to think or we'd do nothing all day but watch TV and figure creative ways to avoid personal accountability. If we are left to think for ourselves, the country would advance too quickly for the media...and the media would end up having to account for itself. It's our fault, though. We let it happen.
  7. Neither are responsible journalists at the LA Times.
  8. And yet, oddly enough, they all seem like cute, cuddly Cabbage Patch dolls next to anyone from the New England area.
  9. I wish Barbara Eden used to call me "Master."
  10. Holy Crap. If that quote is enough to quality someone as a moron, then let me be the first to welcome you to my new Bills message board : One Moron Drive. There's such a thing as coachspeak, and there's such a thing as posturing, and when the owner of the team comes out and says "Screw this power running crap," it's time to put both of them in action. But yeah...he's a moron. Thanks, Mr. Kettle.
  11. Have you tried water and vinegar? It's been known to eliminate some of the nastiest odors.
  12. Not win a second term, I suspect.
  13. Why did you leave yourself off the list, Newman?
  14. Or more specifically...Who The FUG cares?
  15. It's not so much that the country will be unemployed because I'm sure Kerry will provide the necessary welfare to take care of people too fuggin' lazy to take care of themselves. And then he'll just throw more taxes at people earning over...how much was it again? $100K? $200K? Yeah, that will foot the bill. It's all the small businesses that will go away, unfortunately. And you'll see Hillary in 2008 because even if Kerry wins, he will, without question, screw up the situation in North Korea so badly that even the FRENCH will want another president.
  16. Hey Dawgg...if you ARE looking for a reason NOT to vote for Kerry, let Tenneseeboy be your guidance. He does exactly what Kerry does: Tells you he can do something, but fails to explain how he's going to do it. Kerry knows who the terrorists are? Which terrorists? The really mean ones or just the ones who are a nuisance? You think CLINTON gave you that economy? Try again. Northern California and Wall Street gave us that economy. Health care? Sure, if you like socialism. Kerry can reduce the deficit? How, when he proposes $2.2 TRILLION in new spending! See, Dawwg...anyone can talk the talking points. Only Tboy is better at it than most. Remember, prioritize first. And if you can't get to Kerry's website for the talking points, listen to Tboy. He has no original thoughts of his own so he just repeats what he hears out of hatred for Bush.
  17. Nobody, please remember that the actual dollar amount is the highest it has ever been. In terms of how that amount plays against other economic factors, it is absolutely, positively, NOWHERE near WWII levels. Checks the facts on this. Only the number is high, not the percentage. What you are saying is very misleading.
  18. I'm very disappointed here. As people who are adamant about one side or the other, nothing is more important to either side right now than someone who is undecided, and to simply point them to websites or tell them they're ignorant is embarrassing. Dawgg, I'm talking to a few undecideds right now, and I'll ask you the same thing I ask them before we discuss the issues. What are your priorities? Terrorism? The economy? Health care? Taxes? Gay/lesbian marriage? Stem cell research? Our overseas relations? The list goes on and on...but step one is prioritizing issues as they're important to you. And it's just not as simple as absorbing the talking points from either side...whether the libs are exhorting that Bush lied about WMD, or that Kerry is unable to better explain why he has changed his position so often. The reality is, a number of people on this board, on both sides of the coin, can help outline and debate where each candidate stands on the issues, but again, question number one must be: What are the issues that are important to you? That gives a place to start the discussion.
  19. They also allowed 24 points...and HOW MANY TD passes??? Oh, that's right. THREE. He completed SEVEN passes yesterday and THREE were for TDs. You think people in NE are upset today because Brady only had 76 yards passing? You think people in Miami are impressed with their Defense?
  20. Hey, that's not true. I wish you'd give him a break. He also says Bledsoe sucks every chance he gets with absolutely no vision of how poorly the line protects for him, and wants to put Losman in with his broken leg. So please don't get on stevestojan about how he always says the Bills sucks. He has a whole repertoire of negative statements that he peppers randomly with no filter.
  21. Sorry folks, but we need Miami to beat the Patriots as badly as we need to beat the Jets. Divisional records rule the school. I'm not rooting for Miami. I'm rooting against the Pats.
  22. Paco is my nickname. Short for Serpico. Italian. Not that I would have been able to decipher Italian either... Anyway, as AD says, it's very difficult to determine strictly from a number-crunching standpoint because "rich" is a relative term. What is rich in, say, Asheville, NC, may not be rich in the Bay area of California. What I can tell you is this; to simply say the government is going to tax anyone making over $200K a year shows, to me, a pandering to the middle class by suggesting someone earning over $200K a year is rich. Hell, just look at someone in SoCal earning $75K. That's probably a crapload of money if you live in Erie, but if you're earning $75K in SoCal and have three kids, you're screwed. Many of my friends in Southern Cal earn somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 to $250K. But their 4bdr/2.5bth house cost them well over three quarters of a million dollars. Their state taxes are incredibly high. But they all have one thing in common; they own their own business, just like me. So any break we get almost ALWAYS goes back into the business, because that is how we expand our personal income...by growing our respective businesses. In turn, we also hire more people. There comes a time when that wealth takes on a life of its own. You hear people talk about "making your money work for you." At the moment that your assets are so high that you don't need another form of income and can live off the interest you earn your assets...THAT is wealthy, to me. And that is what I'm trying to accomplish. And when I do, I'll have put people to work...provided them health care...helped them buy houses so they can build their own assets...and kept the economy churning. The idea of taking money from the very people who keep the economy going is wreckless. And to tell the middle class that people like me are wealthy and we SHOULD give up more money is just simply irresponsible. If you have a job...are happy to keep it...are happy with your income...are building for retirement via 401Ks and IRAs etc., and that is your plan...terrific. But I hate it when someone like Kerry looks at these people and says "See the guy making $200K? He's wealthy. We should not be giving them more money in forms of tax breaks. We should be taking it AWAY from them so I can fund socialized health care." I'm successful with my business because I've managed my assets to get to this point. Maybe if Kerry would first figure out how to manage the US' assets FIRST, and then let us know if he needs more money...maybe, just maybe, we can all get along. But he doesn't. In fact, he doesn't even TRY! He's not even president yet and already he's talking about how he needs to spend more money than we have. And who does he plan to get the money from? Guys like me. And if you keep taking more and more money from guys like me, then in short order I will have to give up my business venture, take a mid-level job somewhere, and in short order become middle class. Oh, look. Now we're moving toward a socialist society. He's irresponsible, wreckless and does everything he can to pander to the middle class...particularly the people who refuse to step up in the name of "personal accountability."
  23. There are a lot of answers you can get to this question, but I'll give you the one I tell myself. Never waste time developing a single exit strategy for an event whose end result can come in multiple forms. You don't know IF we're going to win. You don't now HOW we're going to win. You don't know IF we're going to lose. You don't know HOW we're going to lose. Trying to prepare yourself for any of those results, or even the more likely mutated versions of those results, only makes things worse. Sit back. Have a beer. Watch the game. Root for the Bills. If they win, we'll have peace on earth right through NFL Primetime. If we lose, the board will Rosen, BF will start talking about how the Cardinals lost, stevestojan will talk about a TV show, some of us will suggest we put in Losman, even if his leg isn't healed, the rest will want to tar and feather Donahoe, and by Wednesday we'll be talking about the Fish and how it's a must win game. Relax. Get to it.
  24. What people don't agree with, I think, is there SUDDEN elevation into political causes. We're not talking about Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Don Henley or Michael Moore...people who were always involved in raging against the machine. We're talking about people who did nothing politically until their celebrity status was in tact and then started opening their yap after they visited some underdeveloped country in a private jet. Heard from Barbra Streisand lately? The Dixie Chicks? Linda Rondstadt? Of course not. Why...because they were in over their heads. They realized they couldn't spend a lifetime doing one thing, and then suddenly use their pedestal to speak about another. Sean Penn, who I absolutely consider to be one of the best and most versatile actors today, falls into that group...and without question, those are the people who are lampooned religiously by The South Park boys.
