The problem is that Boller isn't considered a passing threat yet, so teams can focus on Lewis. It's a cliche, but basically...take Lewis out and make Boller beat you, which is a tall task right now. He does show signs of being a really good quarterback sometimes, like vs. KC, but I wonder whether that is actually saying very much.

You know, I love John Stewart's humor and his show. His humor is right up my alley. But he has become so decidedly left that I can't stomach it anymore. Same thing happened with Bill Mahr. We actually went to see a live recording of "Politically Incorrect" some years ago when it was on cable. I'm not adverse to hearing comedians from the left once in a while, but after a while it gets old. I hope John Stewart goes back to his original format when the election is over.

I didn't study political theory. What does "political theory" say we should about this type of thing? Does it say anything about talking poorly about existing coalition members just before you try to recruit more of them? Does it say what we should do after our own planes are flown into our own buildings, killing our own people, because everything we did up to then SUCKED? I'm just curious. What did your "political theory" class teach you about such things? What book? What chapter? Point me to it and I will be happy to read all about what you learned in college.

In their first two games, NE had exactly TWO three-n-outs. They also scored on every opening drive, as they did to us. But we we held them to three or four three-n-outs by the time we were into the third quarter, if memory serves.

Since we never throw to him, isn't putting him on the field basically saying to everyone..."We're running here." Mark VI commented about a similar situation with Aiken. When you see him on the field, you know it's a run. Even worse, against NE, he went in motion in the direction of the run and we lost a yard or two on that one play. I'm not enough about the Xs and Os to overspeak, but is it possible our schemes are OVERsimplified at this juncture, just for the sake of not making the same mistakes we saw with Kildrive?

Hell, I'm mostly concerned about the exchange between Tucker and Bledsoe. I've seen a number of games squandered because the QB had to take the exchange from a new person. But it'll be nice to see if anything changes with Tucker in there. I remain optimistic.

You and BF should each have your own thread pinned at the top of the board and you can go there any time you want and let the unfiltered thought process flow. One thread each. I think that's a reasonable request.

Why not? It worked before so beautifully, remember? You used to post a thread that basically said "Here's my thoughts for the week." But for some reason today you've decided that over and over and over you had to start this thread stuff. Just like Sunday during the game. You must've posted five different threads, each with a single thought. One thread. Multiple thoughts. Maybe we can get SDS to pin a BF thread and a stevestojan thread so everytime some unfiltered thought decides to flow, you guys can just go to your own personal threads and gush away. Yes.
