Methinks there are just times when various comments can not be contested. WHen that happens, particularly in a heavily debated arena like this, those who would typically debate or argue your point prefer to just shut up and not respond rather than have the moxie to say "Hey, you actually make a good point with which I can not disagree."

This is probably the one thing that bothers me more than anything. There are just not enough people here who are outraged enough to HELP. Where are the people who stood across from the firefighters with signs, thanking them from afar because that was all they could do? Where are all the flags that hung from our windows and houses? Where are the people who lined the street, waving flags and making traffic honk approval that we were going to kick someone's ass. What happened to the Senate, standing outside singing "God Bless America"? They're all watching American Idol. They'll get back to being angry in a minute. Once there's a commercial.

Apparently CBS has taken issue with Meatloaf's claim that 'two out of three ain't bad." Apparently, one out of three ain't bad either. Thanks for the link. The media is behaving from a competitive standpoint now, and that is good for the Bush campaign because now the networks will do his work for him.

I'll be interested in watching CBS' competition getting into this, should it be true.

That is absolutely the last thing I'd typically give thought to about this. But there's nothing like a good paradym shift, and man, you're right. It's not the lack of a mission. It's the lack of the resources required to accomplish the mission. They'd have to recruit, and trying to recruit an American to their cause right now would be like Pats fans trying to convince us to join THEIR pussified fanbase.
