Bills do not have a LB to compare with White, Barrett or David. Front 7, including Paul, Vea and Suh, is elite. Mahomes was running (hobbling) for his life. Buffalo is not capable of doing that.
Allen looked rattled and uncertain--- the Chiefs D definitely knocked him off his game. Threw some inaccurate passes late and high--- could have been picked off twice more. Allen reverted a bit to his old form at times, but protection issues contributed.
Oliver is too small for the position he is playing. Edmunds, I think, could also use a position change to get something out of his "freakish" talent. Clearly, the Bills are not getting 1st round talent in return for the investment in these guys.
As NE was for so many years, KC is now the target. To level the playing field, the Bills need a further infusion of talent--- RB, TE, D-Line, DB. A healthy dose of more speed needs to be added to the equation. It is going to take work.
Sorry-- for me, tonight showed just how far the Bills need to go to match KC. Start with retooling the D-line and get someone who can cover TE's. Also, a starting rb would be nice.
