  1. 3 OL holding calls. Not a good start for them.
  2. Needed 7 there. Really poor 2nd down call.
  3. Same here. I thought Johnson was a good rotation guy who could get some pressure on the QB. Carolina probably didn't want the older Addison back.
  4. Will be concerned about the defense. Pretty much looked the way they did last year-- struggling to get teams off the field. Pittsburgh will be an interesting early test.
  5. Really don't need to hear this again. Just 7 years ago, the Pegulas were viewed as heroes for saving the franchise in Buffalo. I wonder if Bon Jovi is still interested in a team?
  6. I'd be shocked if he made the PS.
  7. Hasn't spoken about it since March. Will be really interesting to see what develops on that front.
  8. If he doesn't get vaccinated, he basically will have to abide by last years regulations. It is his choice-- don't know why he didn't just go lowkey on this, instead of exploding all over social media.
  9. Actually, Beane addressed that last night. I'm sure moves will be made to upgrade certain spots.
  10. Decent comp. If the Bills get 5 sacks out of Basham (like Lawson), I think they'd be happy.
  11. Rousseau has only played 15 games, and lacks any refined rush moves. Basham may not be developmental, but nothing in his skill set jumps off the page-- high effort guy.
  12. Okay, Basham is a high-effort guy who lacks elite speed and explosiveness (a position where the Bills doubled down). Breida? For all his speed, he is injured a lot and has moved around quite a bit. Little impact with Miami.
  13. I am not talking just about the 5th round. They had picks in rounds 1-3, and took two developmental DE's. There were plenty of other options.
  14. I generally agree with this, but the Bills were so close last year. Big needs were a dynamic speed guy, DB , TE, DE. So far, they have added all developmental guys, who aren't expected to have much of an impact this year. The running game, which was subpar last year, has all the same guys back. So those guys have to get better, I guess. A SB window can close very quickly.
  15. SB window can close quickly. I would like to see a 1st rounder who would have an immediate impact.
  16. My point, simply, is the guy is a project (he was a WR not that long ago). I also did not criticize him for opting out-- just stating that he only played one year (maybe another year would have helped his development). If you check any draft analysis of him, you will actually see some negatives-- limited pass rush moves, strength, bad pro day. If not for negatives, he would have been long gone by the time the Bills. picked. And Maybin was not mentioned as a physical comparison-- just "bust potential"-- although Rousseau was taken much later. I hope the guy works out (I personally wanted someone who could help in 2021-- a DB?, maybe a WR?).
  17. This was a lousy year for DE's. Rousseau , if considered a "sure thing," would have been gone 20 picks earlier. Struggled at his Pro Day and opted out last year. I've heard several of his sacks in '19 were "coverage sacks" and that he lacks any great pass rushing moves. Needs to improve there, add strength. He is a project with high bust potential, which is why some have conjured images of Maybin.
  18. I'm not one to jump on any player that gets released by another team and hope the Bills go after him. However, I was interested in Reed. Would have upgraded a major weakness-- DL. So far the Bills have retained the whole OL, which was not good enough last year. DL-- pretty much the same deal (added a Carolina guy again). Reed would have at least been an upgrade over what they have. Focus on the OL (or a top RB) and the D in the draft, I suppose.
  19. Yet another Panther. On the upside, he had more sacks last year than any Bill-- as a backup.
  20. Bills did a poor job of replacing players lost on the DL last year. It doesn't help that two 1st round picks on the front seven have been under-performers.
  21. I enjoy baseball and the two months of decent weather we have. FB season is stressful, and even a great season can end horribly (Brady).
  22. Guy has had really one impactful year out of the last five. Oft-injured (steroid-related?) and over-the-hill, imo.
