  1. As long as he doesn't leave town....I think we're in good shape. Just don't let him get on a plane!!!!!!!! (oops, sorry, wrong conversation)
  2. How do I explain to my bosses that I am getting no work done today because I am busy trying to read into every action another grown man does
  3. Anyone know how to repair the screen on an iphone? I'm pretty sure I'm going to break it as much as I keep pulling it down on twitter today
  4. as someone who works in PR, I would imagine they are prepping for a press conference in case he signs. I doubt the PR department of the Bills has any reason. It's just about having a plan in place.
  5. Keep in mind there will be a press conference either way. If he signs with the Bills, they will do the whole "welcome to Buffalo" press conference. If he leaves town, he will still meet the media to talk about how his visit went, what he likes about the Bills, and blah blah blah.
  6. Ok, so don't judge me. I'm just trying to get all of the info you guys are getting, so if my internet stalker side comes out, so be it. I'm not proud. 30 minutes ago Mike Lombardi tweeted in response to a feller tweeter: "They see like the favorite down. People in chicago think he is headed there to sign" Typos aside, I think we all can see what that is supposed to say. The person he was responding to (Lance Zierlein) had just recently tweeted: http://twitter.com/#!/LanceZierlein "Bears not in the market for Mario. Way too much money for DE position" So, take that for what it's worth. Internet stalking at its finest. I don't know anything about Lance Zierlein, but I can confirm from his twitter page he is an animal lover and he likes Michelob Ultra. The end
  7. "Redskins will not be outbid for Vincent Jackson" except of course......if they get pickpocketed for $30 million on the way to the auction. Serves them right. Trying to cheat the system. The two most valuable franchises in the NFL trying to cut corners.....good job NFL. Stick it to them.
  8. You too could write for BR if you have an active email address. These aren't paid journalists. It's nothing more than a site for fans to pretend to be journalists.
  9. I'm not really sure what you're whole purpose is of replying to this thread other than to add to your already ridiculously high post count. But since you are clearly having a hard time grasping this, I'll try one last time to explain. No, you wouldn't go to Tops asking Wegman's about granola bars. But you might a friend who shops at Wegmans who may have more information than you do. My first step was to ask Buffalobills.com..(You would know that if you read my original post, but it's clear to everyone you were too eager to reply with something, you just read the first two words and then proceeded to add nothing to the conversation). It didn't work..... So since this is the primary Buffalo Bills Message board I use (although, comparing post counts, I don't spend nearly as much time on here as some people), I thought maybe a fellow Bills fan would either A) have had the same issue, and know why it's the case or B) at least confirm they're having the same issue so I know it's not a problem on my end. As you can see by some of the other replies, there are people who use this message board and also have attempted to use the other one. But Jay Rubeo, I don't know you. I just had a simple question. I can see that it's a priority of yours to have a lot of attention on this site. I'm just trying to get a question answered. So, in hopes of this not turning into a "Let's talk about Jay Rubeo" thread, I'm going to ignore any more comments you make, unless of course you decide to change it up and add something usefulto the conversation.
  10. Well...let's see... Who comes here? Bills fans. What site was I asking about? Buffalobills.com. So which part are you having trouble understanding? Why I would ask Buffalo Bills fans about an issue I'm having with Buffalobills.com? Thanks for your reply though, it was very helpful. I now see how you got to 16,000+ posts.
  11. Does anyone know why they won't let new members register? Every time I try to click register, it says "Registration has been disabled by the admin". I can't find anyone to contact either. Is this an error, or is that board just amateur hour?
  12. we are in need of a tight end if Chandler leaves, but I would prefer us finding a.......TIGHT END to fill that role ....that's just me though. I tend to be weird about things like that.
  13. No I wouldn't want him back. I would rather develop the young receivers we have and also develop the young receiver I expect us to draft. Say what you want to about the Nix regime, but they got value for a guy who only lasted 1 season on his new team, made zero impact, and cost them a chance to go to the Super Bowl. From Lee Evans standpoint, why would you come back to Buffalo after they gave him away?
  14. I don't know what's funnier about this thread... the people who think Drew Brees would leave New Orleans to come to Buffalo... or the people who say "no thanks, we dont need him"
  15. Didnt we lose that game by about 25-30 points?
  16. If memory serves, Castillo would translate more to a 4-3 DT. Good football player, but certainly not position of need.
  17. I'm not trying to say Scott Chandler is the second coming of Antonio Gates or Vernon Davis, clearly he isn't that kind of athlete. I'm not even trying to say he is Jason Witten. But, I still scratch my head when fans are so willing to let a productive player walk assuming it's somehow Chan Gailey's elite mind that made him out to be more than he was. When you look at teams who have the best offenses year in and year out, you look at consistency. Again, I'm not comparing them as athletes, but look at the Colts with Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Joe Addai, Jacob Tamme etc. You had the same offensive system and the same players with years of getting familiar in it. Yes, Martellus Bennet could probably come in and be as productive as Chandler was last year. But isn't it possible that Chandler in year 2 would be better than Chandler in year 1? Isn't there something to be said for familiarity of the offense, and offensive weapons growing together? To me, if we're really rebuilding, then we need to not only uncover talent in many different ways, but keep the guys we find. We found a productive QB in Ryan Fitzpatrick buried on our depth chart. We found a number 1 WR Stevie Johnson in the 7th round of the draft. We found an elite RB in Fred Jackson in undrafted free agency. If you're able to find these kinds of players, and then you're also able to get good value out of your premium draft picks (which hasn't been the case to this point, although Dareus and Spiller look to be solid building blocks), that's how you turn a poor franchise around. I'd like to see the Bills keep Chandler. Reward a guy for playing above his expectations. Let's not make it a given that everytime a player plays well he is playing himself out of Buffalo. Obviously if he and his agent are looking for Antonio Gates money, then the conversation should be short and not-so-sweet...but if he is looking for fair market value for a productive starting TE, let's pay the guys who produce for us.
  18. Saying the Bills are in play for Vincent Jackson is like when the Nerdy, unpopular dork in high school finally got up the courage to ask out the head cheerleader. Yes, he wants her, but we all know what her answer will be. Until the Bills land a big fish in free agency, I'll never believe they are capable of it.
  19. You can't just gloss over that point. That hole in itself makes the rest of your team look like swiss cheese
  20. I don't understand how anyone can compare Ryan Fitzpatrick to Alex Smith or Joe Flacco. You can win in the NFL with mediocrity at the QB position, but only if you have what both of those guys have, which are elite defenses. Considering this Bills defense just broke franchise records for inept play, I don't think anyone without a kool-aid mustache can say we are on the verge of being elite on that side of the ball. Tom Donahoe made some mistakes as a GM but he knew you needed a QB to win in this league, which is why during his 5-year tenure, you saw him make 2 very aggressive moves to get franchise QB's. He traded a 1st round pick for a 30-year old Drew Bledsoe and traded a future first round pick to get J.P. Losman. Yes, neither of those moves worked out, but taking Trent Edwards with a late pick in the 3rd round and signing Ryan Fitzpatrick to backup QB money as a free agent castoff from Cincinnati can hardly be considered trying to improve a position.
  21. http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videogames/madden12ratings/_/team/buf/id/2/buffalo-bills If you're not into video games, just move on and spare us your "who cares about video games" rant. Click the back button and forget this page exists. The roster is obviously old, but the roster update comes out days after the game is released. Fitzpatrick is 81 OVR
  22. I'm not sure what player traits are, I thought madden used a point system?
