  1. I can definitly see this. Say what you want about Bledsoe, but I think with that defense, jamal lewis, and todd heap, and a stout oline. bledsoe can still be a productive qb. I don't think his career is finished, nor do I think he's an elite qb anymore. but I do think he's a better qb than Kyle Boller and would be a good fit there. Whatever happens to Bledsoe I'll still support him unless he's playing the bills of course, because Drew has always been one of my favorite players since he came into the league. I'm just dissapointed it didn't work out here.
  2. OG CJ BROOKS MARYLAND- Get Lawrence smith the hell out of there, Or David Bass- OG Michigan or Anthony Munoz from Tennessee.
  3. I don't know why people can't just accept the fact that our oline is putrid. I've usually stayed away from this, because I'm a big Drew Bledsoe fan, always have been and always will be, but yes I can admit his days are numbered. Infact they're probably over, however our oline is just bad. It can't run block, it can't pass protect, well let me restate that. It can pass protect it just can't pick up a blitz. They're horrible at this. From Mike williams foot speed to contain speed rushers to the interior of our line getting pushed back into the non existint pocket. This is part of the reason bledsoe can't step up to make throws. Theres no pocket to do so. And as bad as this line is at pass blocking it's even worse at run blocking. I'm willing to call a spade a spade, that a change at quaterback is indeed needed but it's about hightime some people admit we need to improve the level of football smarts/talent along the offensive line. I know some of you recongnize it's both, but this season for better or worse is pretty much over. It's time to tell donahoe to draft need, CJ BROOKS FROM MARYLAND IN THE 2ND RD. It would be a hell of a start to improving the disaster that's suppouse to protect our qb and rb's

  6. People really need to realize that The oline is not just about giving up sacks. GET THIS OUT OF YOUR HEADS. Our oline can't do anything good. They can not pass block and they're not any better at run blocking. Our Rbs get blown up in the backfield a lot. Which is a reason Mcgahee impresses me seeing how most of his carries are for positive yardage after 1st contact which is usually behind the los. A Line that is bad at run blocking, and unable to get that into a rhythm is an easy target to get killed in pass protection. If we had a line that could run block, and not commit stupid penalties in the most crucial of times coughmikewilliamscough and put us in 2nd or 3rd and short. Teams would not blitz as much, and thus our oline would indeed look better because they wouldn't be getting exposed for the 300+ lb pieces of garbage that they really are. I hope to god that when Losman is starting next year we don't have the same oline we have now otherwise we're gonna be in for a very long 2005 as well.
  7. Travis Henry- Ok Folks. I'm tired of it. Travis henry was a warrior. He was good in 2002, and 2003, but he's done nadda this year. He's quickly becoming ron dayne and I'm getting disgusted each time I see him get a carry. Instead of running towards open holes. He runs into the pile and falls down. He doesn't get stronger with carries. He's unmotivated. Can't pick up a blitz, can't catch out of the backfield, and seems to go down on the 1st hit. I Like what henry has done, but he's a baby and he needs to go away. I don't care what he did last year. He's not the future of this team, he's not happy here, and maybe to possibly save his career, and me from breaking my television when he runs into someone and falls down on 1st contact, needs to be dealt in the offseason. I'd be suprised if we get anything better than a 3rd rd pick for him. Josh Reed- AKA TRAINING CAMP Warrior. No emotion, no big play ability, no hands, no speed, no route running, next year= no roster spot for Mr. Reed. Drew Bledsoe- I usually stay away from this one with a 10 foot pole cause I'm a huge drew bledsoe fan. I like the guy always have. I want to see Bledsoe succeed in the worst way, but the fact is I'm a Bills fan 1st and foremost, and even I can admit when s-h-i-t has hit the proverbial fan. He still has a great arm. With a good oline he can avoid 1 or 2 pass rushers. However he doesn't make our offense better and may in fact make it worse, seeing how our biggest weakneess being the oline is not good with a drop, plant, step throw qb. Also having no true trustworthy saftey valve at the te position doesn't help either. He takes way too many sacks, kills too many drives, and gets rattled too easy into making poor decisions on a consistent basis. I hope you find a team that plays to your strenghts. ::throws off chin strap in fit of rage:: So long drew. I'm sorry it didn't work out Ryan Denney/Chris Kelsay- Either one of these guys. As good as our defense has been and btw a lot of props goes out to aaron schobel who played a hell of a game, we have no true impact pass rusher at de. It's why we can't force turnovers, and we never will until the de position is adressed. Kelsay fell out of the 1st rd in the 2003 draft for a reason and probably would've been available in the 3rd rd. Denney is just horrible. I'm not looking for the next bruce smith here, athough john abraham would make me very happy here, but I'd take someone who can put consistent pressure on the qb, it would be nice not to give up so many 3rd down conversions. Izell Reese- Is this guy ever in position. From what I saw today I believe if he was in the correct position he possibly could have had 2 ints. He always seems to have his back to the ball and plays the receiver. I thought they were stressing takeaways. Hey IZELL PLAY THE FREAKIN BALL. Now besides these guys the obvious positions we have to improve is the offensive line. Can we just have one series wheres theres not defenders in the backfield to blow up plays? I mean really cmon now. Mcgahee got yards by himself again by bouncing off defenders and cutting back, showing patience. Another thing henry can't do. I'm not asking for the chiefs offensive line or all pros at every position. I'm asking for a quality effort where you don't get our qb or rb's blown up in the backfield every other play also some intelligence when you have the ball in the redzone to REMEMBER THE FRIGGEN SNAP COUNT!!!!!!!!!! COUGHMIKEWILLIAMSCOUGH!!!!!! We had plenty of opportunities to win this game even with the mistakes we made. I guess it's another season of "Well let's wait till next year", but I'm of the belief that this team is close to being good. We have the talent albeit with the absence of a quality offensive line and quaterback play to be a good team. Maybe Losman will hide a lot of our problems on the offensive line, hell it can't get any worse than it
  8. No simply put because Edwards is not de material. It's a lot easier to push the pocket for a 320 lb dt right up the middle or stunting than it is to swim, rip, speed rush from the outside for a 320lb defensive end. Edwards is not de material, but I want to get to another thing. Theres a simple reason why our d is the way it is. THE SPEED OF OUR LINEBACKERS/ the lack of a true pass rushing de. Because our linebackers posessing the quickness that they do, and the lack of a true pass rusher from the de spot our d is almost handicapped and it's something they hide pretty well, but it's also the only thing thats keeping us from getting turnovers on a consistent basis. We have Big Pat and Fat Sam to clog up the middle and I agree with that. You got dt's who are that big you ask them to play to their size simply clog the lanes and let our linebackers gap blitz or we zone blitz. It's the only way we're ever gonna get sacks. Sure it's not always pretty, but it's our only true shot. I doubt highly regarding sam adams comments that we would get a lot more sacks if we allowed our dts to collapse the pocket. Doing this would also weaken our run defense, as evidenced in the 1st half against the dolphins last week. A true pass rushing de would simply give us the added benefit of not having to rely on zone blitz's on 3rd and long exposing gaps in our secondary and giving up 1st downs. Nothing against Kelsay Denney or even Schobel they don't have the ability to be a true difference maker at the de position. Lacking a 1st rd pick makes this tough, but if he's not franchsied The 1st person Tom Donahoe should target in free agency is John Abraham.
  9. I was holding out to get a Willis Mcgahee Official away jersey. I like the away jeresys better, but 45 dollars for a replica is not bad. I might just have to settle and buy the replica until i got the loot for the official. But yeah this is a good deal.
  10. I'd give anything to see Lee Evans just outright smoke Past Prime Time Geritol Deion. Shut the old man up by getting smoked by a rookie. That would be sweet, as long as the end result is a bills win though.
  11. As far as women from the buffyverso guy Emma Caufield is definitly a very solid choice, but I'm gonna have to go with Charisma Carpenter, or Amy Acker from Angel
  12. Baltimore defensive rankings- |---------- PASSING -----------||----- RUSHING -----| TOTAL CMP ATT YD YPA TD INT ATT YD YPA TD YD 90 169 946 5.60 5 6 152 517 3.40 3 1463 NFL rank ---> 9 14 5 5 8 10 17 8 3 11 3 The baltimore defense can definitly be run on. They're giving up 103.4 ypg on the ground. If we establish the run early and force the lb's to respect it. It might relax their agressivness a bit and force them to play honest opening the door for play action passes. I think a big key if we want to have sucess passing is getting tthe ball to cambell. I believe baltimore has given up 3 or 4 te scores in the past 3 games. I think blitz pickup will be key though. Max protect schmes and leaving a back in to help bledsoe get that extra second to progress his reads will be very important. This is why I worry about henry and see this as a loss if he's playing. Especially if he has plantar faciitis as has been reported. Henry is not known for his blitz pickup to begin with and anything other than a 100% healthy travis henry against the likes of terrell suggs or ray lewis bothers me. Mcgahee imo is better at blitz pickup, and also offers a better option out of the backfield. The thing that worries me the most about henry starting is his famous " swing pass lets tip it in the air" I just got a sickening vision of him doing this right into the hands of ed reed. If Henry is 100% healthy he should start. Anything less than that against this defense sit him. On the other side of the ball. Baltimores offense Team Offense |---------- PASSING -----------||----- RUSHING -----| TOTAL CMP ATT YD YPA TD INT ATT YD YPA TD YD 62 109 650 5.96 2 5 164 750 4.57 5 1400 NFL rank ---> 32 32 32 26 31 18 10 6 6 12 31 Boller is horrible Imo the worst qb in the entire nfl. I don't care he has "no weapons" boller has a million dollar arm and a 5 cent brain. He's horrible under pressure. Horrible when theres no pressure. Horrible at play action horrible throwing on the run, pretty much bad at everything is what I'm getting at. The Key to this is forcing boller into making mistakes which shouldn't be too hard. The ravens offense without jamal lewis is probably worse than miamis offense. If I'm gray I blitz as often as possible. Be agressive. Don't sit back and contain. Pressure force the ravens into 3rd and long and he'll fold like a cheap accordian. My keys to the game Blitz Pickup- Going to be big. We have to prove we can protect our qb. If we don't get the running game going we're in for a horrible day on offense. We can't afford to turn the ball over. Protect the football. Conservative smashmouth style long enough to where we can throw the deep ball later in the game Lee Evans- We have to test deion sanders. Not early though they'll probably be expecting that, but during the course of the game test him. It could prove big. Agressive defense- If we force Boller to win this game for the ravens instead of the ravens defense winning this game for him. The Bottomline will be a lot of happy Bills fans come Sunday. Force Boller to put the game on his shoulders and The Bills will win Special teams- Thinking about the matchups in this game this will be big. Field position could be big seeing how I think this game will be decided by field position. My Prediction- Bills 17-13 I look for our defense to force turnovers and possibly even giving us a touchdown, Our offense to be conservative and eat up the clock as much as possible, and play a game of field position. This is a winnable game, and a game that could possibly put us on the right track to the next level. ONE GAME AT A TIME.
  13. If I heard right I think Travis had Plantar Faciitis. Which is a very painful injury I know from experience. With proper stretching techniques it could go away in a few weeks or if it's bad anywhere from 6 months or longer. If you develop bone spurs surgery could be an option. Although they say the best method for treatment is to let it heal on it's own. Playing rb when I was younger I know the pain travis is probably in right now. So unless travis and this coaching staff are really stupid I fully expect willis to start.
  14. Yes and we can go back to even last year where the 2nd most sacked qb in the nfl was Donovan Mcnabb. Vicks running has caused him to seperate both his shoulders, break his leg and have countless other minor injuries since 2002. It's all well and good to have mobility, but running quaterbacks are useless. The only time a quaterback should run is if everything breaks down. The most important aspect to the qb position is to be able to stand in the pocket scan the field for a receiver and be able to hit on of your options with accuracy without making them stop and turn around. This is something Mike Vick can't do, so his big rocket arm becomes useless. Give me a qb who has pocket awarness and can pick you apart with his arm while moving down the field anyday over a qb who will get you a nice run here or there. This is why guys like Brady,Manning,Favre,Pennington, Warner etc will always be more sucesfful than your Mike Vicks and your Donovan Mcnabbs. BTW before anyone gets started this isn't a bias against black qb's cause I happen to like Mcnair, Aaron brooks and was a big warren moon fan, but running qb's who don't have pocket awarness just aren't going to win in this league.
  15. Have you seen the cowboys play lately? What makes you think that this team will have a "latter" 1st rd pick? In all likelyhood dallas is going have two top 10 picks at this point in time, and henry is not worth that. If we trade henry it should be to arizona or the raiders for their 2nd rd pick, this way we can draft two olinemen in the early 2nd rd
  16. Theres no way in hell we should ever make that deal. Chris Hovan is quite possibly the most overrated player in the nfl. I believe last year he finished with 8 tackles and 0 sacks as a yes a full time starter. The guy is all mouth. While he is all mouth, I don't exactaly remember the vikings defense being good because of him. The vikings can keep hovan. no thank you
  17. "Travis Henry picks up the 1st down, but theres a flag on the play. ::holding signal:: Holding #::fill in # of one of our offensive linemen:: 10 yard pentalty repeat 3rd down" only to be followed by "Bledsoe back to pass... he's looking... he's loooking...... looking Down goes Bledsoe"
  18. It's funny how there are people saying we could be "BURNED" by trading Travis Henry.... last time I checked we're 0 and friggen 4. How much more burned could we possibly be? If We're gonna trade henry nows the perfect time to do it, before he sucks it up the rest of the season and his trade value drops dramatically. It would be the right thing to pull the trigger now. Give Shaud Williams shot at the #2 spot. He looked pretty decent in "preseason". I see no negative in this sceanrio at all. Start Willis, trade henry let the future begin now B)
  19. Why on earth would any bills fan want to get rid of Eric Moulds? Regardless of what he counts against the cap, Would you really want to throw away our best offensive weapon and throw Lee Evans into the #1 slot. That has the makings of what happened to Josh Reed when we traded Price written all over it. Will Lee Evans eventually be our #1 receiver. Without a doubt I believe so. Is he ready to be our #1 receiver next year? Hell No he isn't, and all you're esentially doing if you trade moulds is putting Josh Reed back into the #2 spot. Without any kind of depth at wr and well lets face it the only 2 receivers on our team worth a damn right now are Moulds/Evans, it would be completly assanine of the bills if they were to trade or cut moulds after this year without getting something great in return.
  20. Excuse me for being impatient, but I'm tired of waiting. This isn't a nursery. We're not here to spoon feed Willis Mcgahee. If the coach's think he's ready than by god. Start him. What the hell do we have to lose.... Is Mike Mularkey not giving him a chance cause ::in coach speak:: "Travis right now is our best chance to win". The truth is we need a shakeup somewhere on offense, and the first place other than benching josh reed permanatly in favor of Lee Evans that I'd shake up is benching the mental Midget Travis Henry in favor of Mcgahee. I like that Henry had rushed for over 2,700 yards and 20+ td's in the last 2 years, but whens the last time he's changed the course of the game. Whens the last time you seen teams stack the box and henry take it to the house..... I know at a quarter to never, and all Henry has proved this year is. 1. He refuses to be a team player. His constant bitching about playing time. 2. His inability to pick up a blitz. My favorite the old light contact and bounce off into the flat in a desperation attempt that some defensive player won't kill your quaterback and he'll magically loft you a a pass We're 0-4. We drafted Mcgahee in the 1st rd of the 2003 draft. He sat out for a year. It's time now to play him. Time to graduate from diapers to big kids underwear, and play Willis Mcgahee.
  21. This isn't a rip on henry, but it would be nice to have a rb who can rip off long runs like this. 4 carries for 78 yards and 2 tds, and it's only the 1st quarter. I'd love to see a rb do that for the bills.
  22. How is it not realistic to get a pass rushing end, who is obviousily 10x's better than the one we currently have? A Position of need, would make our defense better, because it's something we can't do right now? Seriousily we blitzed the pats nearly 80% of time and sacked brady 0 TIMES. 0.... if you don't think going after John Abraham would be a "Realistic" move well than just stop watching football. How is it not realistic to want to improve upon a position. Thats like saying "We have a center, why go out and get another one" cmon now. Abraham would drastically improve the one glaring weakness on our defense. Talents like Abraham come along once in a blue moon. The guy is a force. BTW from what I've read up on the jets. They're negotating a contract with Shaun Ellis, so my guess at this time is they'd rather bring back ellis than Abraham. If by chance John Abraham is available and we have the room to go after him. Regardless of whether or not we already have a rde we should definitly go after abraham. It only makes all the sense in the world from a football standpoint.
  23. I think mcgee could end up being a pretty good solid starting corner with some more experience. I disagree that he's not fast enough to play full time. The kids a football player imo, and like the saying goes a pass rush is a defensive backs best friend. Terrance Mcgee doesn't have to be chris mcallister or charles woodson, but with an improved pass rush by going after someone like... no scratch that, by going after John Abraham in the offseason Terrance Mcgee would be a pretty good corner. We didn't get lit up for 300+ passing yards cause our secondary is bad, we got lit up for 300+ cause we have no pass rush to force the qb into making quicker decisions.
  24. Willis not only looked faster than he has, he also showed his patience and the reason why he's able to pick up yards. Now this may be a little extreme right now, but I believe Mcgahee's style of running is better suited to our weakness. Instead of a back like henry who just hits the hole. Mcgahee is patient enough to read and react to the blocks and try to always maintain positive yardage, making our offensive line look better at run blocking than they really are. Once he gets his speed back he's going to be a lethal weapon in our backfield
