    Is saying this created $33 million in cap space, accurate? From what I’ve seen, they only have roughly $7.5 million in available cap this year. Still enough to sign Dalvin Cook, but not quite what it first appeared to be.

    Can you imagine having unlimited cap space and draft picks to make this fantasy a reality? Me neither. That is why I appreciate Beane’s endless pursuit for diamonds in the rough, to make it all work, while paying our elite players what they deserve.

    Someone said yesterday that he had had a few reps with the 1’s, including a goal-line play, and that he looks the part so far. Today I heard he was on the juggs machine early on in practice.

    No. The AFC west was overhyped last year, the AFCE is receiving the appropriate amount of attention.

    Agreed. I expected Von to start on PUP, but I thought Phillips was further along. Hopefully just a precaution.

    Why on earth would you cut WR2, when there are so many other receivers behind him on the depth chart?

    Not really, because ultimately, I believe they will pay hiom, and he will be one of the highest paid DT’s in the league.

    If he was really good, they would sign him to a multi year extension... But since he is not that good, he's gone. Now they can pat themselves on the back, for their integrity.

    I still like Davis more than most. I think he played through injuries last year, and it affected his game quite a bit. I hope that is the case, and he returns to form, now that he is healthy again. He should at least be good enough to be a solid 3rd option, if someone else, like Kincaid steps up as the number 2 target.

    Interesting to see it broken down this way, thanks. That said, how on earth can we be 9th in spending on Offense, and 2nd on Defense?! What the hell is everyone else spending their money on, Special Teams?

    My guess is, whoever develops the best chemistry with Hopkins, gets the job. But, I would assume Levis takes over by mid season, either way.
