  1. Anyone wanting the Bills take either Jarrett or Ginn with their 1st round pick forfeits all credibility regarding mock draft evaluations. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...st&p=890337 Your NFL draft pearls of wisdom are in need of some work pal.
  2. Anyone saying "end of conversation" is being a plain ol' d_ckhead. Newsflash smart guy, your buddy WAS being a wiseguy. So you defended your buddy and now you're all up in my face about whether or not Jeff freakin Smarsdja is a viable option in the 7th round. Like I said, if I'm wrong a thousand applogies to you. You and your punk friend got what you wanted. I can't wait for your future "intelligent" postings, they're truly like golden nuggets falling from the sky.
  3. Who's right or wrong here matters very little to me at this point. I'm sorry I ever started this thread.
  4. Where are the thoughts about my picks in rounds 1-6??????? There aren't any, instead I get a bunch of forum punks b_tching about who I picked in the 7th round. It's not that there's a disagreement, it's the not so subtle rudeness that's wrapped around the disagreement. I see that the mob mentallity is back in full force on this board. Be proud, be a member of the TSW mob.
  5. Ok, please go ahead and argue some more after misconstruing what I said. When I said get the f over it, it was in regards to him having a problem with MY 7th round pick, NOT HOUSTON'S 6th round pick. Never in the history of draft discussions has there ever been such piss and vinegar over someone's mock 7th round draft pick. If this is the way it's going to be over here then then we're in trouble. I'll tell you one thing, you're not going to bully me buddy.
  6. Get off the rag pal. I still think you're wrong because the Texans still had Henson's rights three years after he bombed in baseball. Maybe there was a rule change that I'm not aware of, so if that's the case then a thousand appologies. Just don't tell me what I understand regarding the nuances of the draft, in fact just sftu and don't reply to anymore of my posts if you're going to be a rude pos. It was a 7th round pick, get the f over it.
  7. I think with every draft scenario there going to be an area that will not be able to be addressed. If you're going to pick a linebacker that will compete for a starting position then you'll have to pick one using a 1st or 2nd rounder. I really think that finishing the rebuilding of the offensive and defensive lines is higher on the priority list than linebacker. Right now we have Spikes, Crowell and Ellison (assuming Fletcher is gone). There may be a couple of FAs LBs out there to be had for depth or even starting purposes.
  8. Ok wiseguy. The Texans took Drew Henson in the 6th round which eventually turned into a 3rd round pick from Dallas. If Jeff's baseball plans fall through (which in MLB is always within the realm of possibilities), then the Bills will either have a very good receiver prospect or trading material (especially with whomever drafted Brady Quinn). Until Jeff proves himself in MLB, the conversation will still be ongoing buddy boy.
  9. I've come to the conclusion that Okoye won't be there when we pick at 12. If he were there then it's a no brainer, but it's now become a pipe dream.
  10. That's ok, I ran out of ideas in the 7th so I just threw that possibility out there.
  11. Without trading picks: 1. Levi Brown OL 2. Justin Harrell DT 3. Lorenzo Booker RB 4. Dan Mozes OL 6. Marcus Hamilton CB 7. Jeff Samardjia WR (taking a flyer) With trading picks: 1. Aaron Sears (pick up a 2nd after trading way back) OG 2. Zach Miller TE 2. Justin Harrell DT 3. Lorenzo Booker RB 4. Dan Mozes C 5. David Clowney WR (regained our 5th after trading way back in the 3rd) 6. Marcus Hamilton CB 7. Jeff Samardjia WR (taking a flyer) I know there's no way to predict if there are any drafting partners, so I was just going with two realistic trading scenarios. Thoughts?
  12. How is Drew Bennett the perfect complement to Lee Evans?? He's got hands of stone and shown no ability of being a consistent playmaker. I'm really confused as to why some here want this guy. What'd he have, three touchdowns last season?? Josh Reed would even be a much better option at #2 than Drew Bennett. I think the Bills will try to find their #2 receiver in the third or fourth round.
  13. Bledsoe has absolutely no shot at making the HOF. Phil Simms would be the more likely candidate to make it after a long QB-less drought. Bledsoe is in the Boomer Esiason category, no need to even worry about him making it. Bledsoe was a QB that was hot as a pistol during his first six seasons, but then tailed way way off eventually becoming a liability a starting QB. He warants being seen as a very good QB in his heyday, but he'll never be seen as HOF material by any self respecting writer that actually votes on who gets in and who doesn't.
  14. How about 20 bucks to see the Jills rip their tops off into bar rags?
  15. I watched the replay of Superbowl XXV this morning and it wasn't just the defense that was to blame for losing that first one. Jim Kelly should have called Thomas' number much more in the first half of that game (Kelly called his own plays). Thomas was unstoppable that day and it just irked me how well he ran in the second half knowing he rarely got his number called in the first 30 minutes. Secondly, Andre Reed dropped a couple of very easy passes in the second half on drives that resulted in no points scored. Passes that would have resulted in first downs. Thirdly, the no huddle offensnse was a double edged sword. Thomas had to take himself out (exhaustion) in the second half after lighting up the Giants defense on three consecutive carries of huge amounts of yardage. The Bills didn't get a first down after Thomas left that drive and the momentum came to a complete stop. The defense did not have a good day, but they pummled Hostetler all day long. It's amazing he did not turn the ball over via fumble or interception. I can't even remember the last time I saw a QB get his ass kicked that badly and finish the game. On Norwoods kick they showed a replay of the Giants reaction and Hostetler was on one knee and didn't even move when the kick sailed wide right. That shows right there you how badly he was hurting. It was a team loss...offense, defense and special teams.
  16. If you believe that Henry was the difference maker then you need to see it a third time. Vince Young was THE dominant player on the field that day. Yes, Travis had himself a very good workman-like day running the ball, but Vince's performance was by far the main reason the Titans one that game. Maybe you just can't bring yourself to admit this because Henry used to be a Bill so you're biased to a fault. Young's performance was the best any offensive player had against the Bills in 2006. I really don't care all that much about who goes to the probowl because I'm in full draft mode after the Superbowl anyways. But if a bunch of AFC QBs cancelled then I don't see any reason why Young shouldn't be strongly considered since the guy was practically unstoppable after the midopoint of the season. Young will be going to a lot of probowls in his career so you might as well get used to it.
  17. Vince Young's three major drives = 21 points Travis Henry's only major drive = 3 points FYI - Vince Young's 29 yard touchdown pass to Jones was in the fourth quarter. C'mon man, you're wrong. Admit it's silly to continue arguing your point and move on.
  18. Really???? V.Young pass deep right to B.Wade for 22 yards, TOUCHDOWN V.Young scrambles left tackle for 36 yards, TOUCHDOWN V.Young pass deep middle to B.Jones for 29 yards, TOUCHDOWN Vince Young put the Titans on his back putting his team in position so that Henry and the line could rumble on down the field, taking time off the clock and kicking the game winning field goal. Though he had a heck of a fourth quarter, Henry finished a distant second to Vince on that day. That's not even arguable.
  19. Get Sirius radio: NFL radio 24/7, every show they have is fun and informative to listen to (oops, all but one...that being "Taking it to the House" with Keyshon Johnson, thankfully it's only on once a week). I now listen to more radio than I do watch TV. To me, it's worth the 13 bucks a week.
  20. Willis looked bad in pass coverage during Senior Bowl week, I mean really bad. Any player you pick in the 1st round you expect that player to be on the field for more than the first two downs. Plus if the Bills ever drafted him, I could only imagine how Brady and Pennington would be able to take serious advantage of a player like Willis. Can someone be taught good coverage skills?
  21. I disagree with your take on the "growing pains" of rookie defensive players. These are the last 8 winners of the defensive rookie of the year award: Jevon Kearse Brian Urlacher Kendrell Bell Julius Peppers Terrell Suggs Jonathan Vilma Shawne Merriman DeMeco Ryans All of them obviously made an immediate impact on their team. It's much easier for a defensive rookie because they have a much quicker learning curve than an offensive rookie since their play is based much more on reaction timing and instincts. I'm not saying that Willis is that type of player (he seems to be really bad in coverage), but chances are there will be more than a few rookie defensive players who will make a huge impact on their respective teams.
  22. I beiieve this one falls under treating with contempt and derision. But it was a nice try anyway.
  23. Care to tell me where in my original reply to this thread I said that Bills fans CAN'T be against the selection? Also, where did I say that beating the Bills was the criteria for Vince Young making the Pro Bowl? You can't, because it's not there. It's not what I wrote. You may be able to twist other peoples words, but your not going to twist mine. I said we're NOT IN A POSITION TO MOCK THIS SELECTION. Fans can do whatever they hell they want to do, that includes making fools of themselves by mocking players that made their team look like a bunch of pee-wee football players. Go ahead, knock yourself out. Don't say I didn't warn you.
  24. You're a foolish man if you don't think Vince had his way with the Bills. Try helping yourself and actually watch the game (it's obvious you didn't), before you dig yourself an even bigger hole here.
  25. Maybe you didn't watch the Bills/Titans game. Vince Young looked like an All Pro that day and was by far the best player on the field. If you want to delve into semantics with the "team" thing then so be it, I'm not going to continue to argue with you any longer on this matter. I know what I saw, and any Bills fans poking fun at Vince look awfully silly considering how he played that day.
