I Feel an upset is gonna happen today.
1billsfan replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The players quit on Jauron since he quit on them with that decision to punt against the Saints on 4th and 1 at home and being down by only 10 points. I don't think any NFL head coach could regain a team of 53 men once he literally quits on them in front of their home town crowd no less. These guys lay their bodies on the line every week to win games and once you pull something like that, they will no longer do so to the same extent. The Jets are going to wipe the floor with the Bills today. I predict a major blowout. -
I've been a Jauron hater since October of 2006 when it was clear to me that his ultraconservative style on both sides of the ball was literally sucking the life out of the Bills. Football is supposed to be a "fun" game to play and he makes it look like as much fun as getting stabbed in the eye with a hot poker. Dick Jauron is the luckiest head coach in league history to have been given almost a decade to prove he's not a leader. Maybe his one genius move was to coach games not to lose so that so can have just enough "soft" wins to pad his record and warrant another chance.

If Rush was buying our Bills instead of the Rams...

When there's two different sets of rules for whites and blacks then hypocrisy becomes a big part of the subject. Unfortunately for you liberals, this argument can't be had in a vacuum. -

Remember the outrage on the left when Beck said this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ndc2LX2u98 Well.................... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdLX3aRNaNk If Rush is a racist then so is Barack Obama. BTW, where's the outrage over Jay Z and his owning the Nets even though in his lyrics he uses the term cracker, N word, and in his "My President is BLACK!!!!" song includes the not so subtle line "no more white lies". Where was the calls of Kanye West being racist yanking that award from that little "white" country singer Taylor Swift. He would have NEVER done that to a black woman. Nice convenient and hypocritical little witch hunt you, Al, and Jesse have going though. -

Trailing in the polls at this late of date is really bad news for an incumbent and then there's this... http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_con...jersey_governor "Among voters who are certain they will vote and certain of how they will vote, Christie has an eight-point edge, 49% to 41%" -

Under the great democratic "leadership" of Jon Corzine, New Jersey's property taxes shot to the highest in the nation. The highest dude. Newsflash, people living in New Jersey like myself don't give a "you know what" about Christie's overly-extravagant travel expenses right now. Corzine is a slimeball who's getting zero benefit from the support of Obama. That ad is so weak considering Corzine's just spent 4 years burying the state under a flood of taxes. -

I was watching ESPN First Take today specifically to get their take on the Rush story and Marcellus Wiley went into a huge rant ending in calling rush "racist radio" while Skip and the ESPN host just nodded in agreement. I was like, wtf???????? I've stumbled onto Rush's show occasionally (not a big fan of blustering style) and I've never heard racism. I've heard a TON of liberal bashing, but never did I here racism. I remember hearing him talk about how it's the democrats who are the one's holding back minorities with their policies. He's shtick, he's full of bluster, he's an entertainer, he's an agitator, but as far as I know he's not a racist. If he were, he would not have a radio show. Where is the evidence of this????? But because people like Marcellus Wiley say it's so then it's just accepted as a fact. To me, it totally smacks as the left's giant opportunity to paint him (and hopefully all the other conservative talkers) as racists. So now in light of the fact that Rush has been shut out of consideration due to fake reports of racism, it's time that the part owner of the Nets, that "m!@#$ f!@#$n'" racist Jay-Z steps down... http://michellemalkin.com/2009/01/19/feel/ -
Democratic headquarters NBC must have had clearance from their chairman to actually do their jobs... http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth...-against-rangel Not because it's the "ethical" thing to do mind you, but because he's dragging their "political" party down heading into the 2010 midterm elections. This little commentary is brought to you by "Democrats for Hope and Change 2010".

Youth raise money for message "Fire Jauron"
1billsfan replied to BillsZubaz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In billboard vernacular, that's like trying to read Lord of the Rings traveling at 80 mph. Mine would be "Hey Ralph, it's time to man up." You don't want to piss the guy off so much that he'll move the team for spite, but you also want to send a simple message that him and his team have been a big failure for a long time now. -
I'd offer Bill Cowher a 8 million dollar a year contract, and if he accepts, raise ticket prices $10 across the board to pay for his contract. I think Bills fans would gladly pay up for a guy of his stature.

I want Lynch given the chance to run the wildcat
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the wildcat is basically is blocking the guy in front of you and letting the RB smash it up to the first sign of daylight. I would think it's a basic as it gets. -
First, dump the no huddle. It's clearly not working, let it go peacefully. Edwards is a lost cause. I'd put Fitzpatrick in as the starting QB in the regular formations. Marshawn is a GREAT athlete and should be given the chance to see what he could do in the wildcat. It puts both our best offensive players, Lynch and Jackson, on the field at the same time. The Bills should smash the middle of the Jets defense with Lynch and Jackson and then run some options off that. Lynch actually should be given the opportunity to throw a couple of option passes if a corner leaves Owens or Evans wide open to cover the run option. 6 to 8 wildcat plays is all that is needed to practice on. Lynch is a great athlete and would benefit getting to the line quicker on runs up the middle. What this move would also do is minimize the offensive tackles position's effect on the game.

In his last year, Jim Fassel's Giant team quit on him just like Jauron's Bills team is currently doing. If you like the last four years then Fassel's your guy. I will literally puke if Fassel is the choice for the next coach of the Bills. I think the Bills should seriously consider Russ Grimm. We need to toughen up this team and especially the trenches and he's a guy who knows how to do that, is someone who's paid his dues and is ready to be given a chance. I'm sure I'll have a few other names added to my realistic wish list by the end of the season. Just say NO to Jim Fassel.
-
He's only accurate because the guy only throws three to six yard dump offs. His deep passes are of the high arc variety and the majority of those have been at best below average throws. To be a successful starting NFL QB you must be able to throw a deep pass with some zip on the ball and you also have to be athletic enough to escape danger situations. Trent doesn't have those skills. We all know that his line sucks badly and we can sympathize with him on that, but Trent simply does not posses the necessary skills to be a successful starting NFL QB. He will be a career backup guy somewhere. He will never be a guy who can deliver a 16 game winning season. Our most probable future QB is currently playing on Saturdays this season.

Dude, please tell us what "proven" head coach is coming to the Buffalo Bills???? You're not being realistic. Harbaugh, Smith, Sporano, Ryan and McDaniels were ALL no name guys who are having NFL success.

Who will be coaching the Bills next season?
1billsfan replied to Endzone Animal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Russ Grimm, one meaning looking SOB who knows what winning the battle in the NFL trenches is all about... http://www.azcardinals.com/team/coaches/ru...36-ba550222b3a7 He's very near the top of my realistic head coaching options list. -
The time to start holding players accountable was three years and a half ago, not wait until your fourth year and getting beat by a team with two pass completions for the day. Jauron is reaping what he has sown. The silver lining here is that there's going to be a bounty of quality head coaches this offseason. Even if we don't get a top name we will have a good shot at one of the hot assistant coaches that always become noticed around playoff time. They can't all go to Dallas and Washington.

With the game tied at 17 and the Patriots just missing on a third down conversion, Josh McDaniels took a time out with 15 seconds left so that the Patriots could not drain the clock to a few seconds for a potential game winning final hail mary touchdown pass on fourth down. Does anyone here doubt that in a million years on the sideline this would ever cross the mind of Dick Jauron, the nine year head coaching veteran? It's truly an astounding fact that he's been given 9 years to prove that he isn't NFL head coaching material. Another random thought, the NY Jets actually fired a guy after having two of three winning seasons including the season he was fired after. The madness needs to stop. This coach needs to be fired if for no other reason than yesterday's game was a travesty and unacceptable of even the most minimal of NFL standards. The Bills and the Raiders have become a league embarrassment.
-
It was a douche answer by a douche player. Who's he kidding, he heard the boos and should have said that he would boo himself for that performance. Trent is a San Francisco guy through and through, he's clearly not a fan of anything Buffalo, period. This includes the team he plays for. I don't even think that he's a big fan of the game of football, I get the feeling that he's a much bigger fan of baseball and golf than he ever was of football. He just happened to be good enough to have the opportunity to follow the NFL big money even though it's not something he has a passion for.

With all this talk of firing Dick Jauron
1billsfan replied to todd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh please, they were playing the 31st ranked defense in the league. The players have quit playing for him (since the now infamous 4th and 1 punt call two games ago). Not only aren't they playing hard, they're now not even capable of the basic act of concentrating. How do you even know what the skill level of our players are after 3 plus years of being coached by Dick Jauron? Brandon's report card is down the road when we see what the players he's been responsible of drafting turn into as pros. -
Nobel Prize Has Officially Become a Liberal Joke
1billsfan replied to BillsNYC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Our allies in the UK seem to have had more than their fill of Obamamania... http://www.thesun.co.uk/mysun/comment/view...mp&pageNo=1 "Urkel joins Arafat, Gore and Jimmy Carter in the pantheon of despots, terrorists, charlatans, losers and hard-left hacks that the Norwegian Socialists have given their offiial stamp of approval to. The Nobel Prize has long been a "thank you for your anti-Capitalist, anti-Western efforts" award, with few exceptions." Jeeez, and to think this guy was the biggest narcissist before winning the Nobel Peace Prize... I think Obama should be forced to go back to his "hometown" Chicago. You know, the murder capital of the nation where he was such a great success at community organizing that he was able to parlay it into becoming the President of the United States. We live in a very disturbingly bizarre world. -

Windfall profit tax on Health Insurers?????
1billsfan replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
...and no Tort reform so as to protect the special interests of the trial lawyers which apparently have Obama/Pelosi/Reid in their back pocket. So to summarize, the average American will pay more with higher rates passed down from the governmental tax hikes and the greedy trial lawyers will continue to suck the life out of any possibility of reasonable insurance rates. Don't worry, Americans are going to have their chance for payback in 2010.
