  1. I'd give Edwards a few more snaps this week and tell him to be mentally ready this week. If Fitzy looks bad in the first half against the Pats, then Perry should pull him and put in Edwards. Sometimes this football stuff is way too easy.
  2. The only problem is that Jauron wasn't fired soon enough this season. I like Perry Fewell and I like the way he coaches. That being said, that game yesterday was tough to watch and it didn't get me all warm and fuzzy about anyone (with the exception of Byrd) in this organization. This next game against the Patriots will tell me a lot about weather Perry is truly a viable candidate for head coach. I don't need to see what the backups can do, I need to see the starters beat the Patriots and not with dumb luck, but looking pretty good doing it. If someone wants to start, they can earn the job. It shouldn't be that hard to do on this team.
  3. To me, there are no clear cut franchise QBs in this draft. There are a couple that might turn out to be franchise QBs (and how do you grade that?), but the question is are they worth the gamble of passing up an interior lineman. I say that none of them are worthy enough for this team to take that kind of big gamble. I hope the Bills weigh their options and either pick a tremendously talented OL/DL prospect or try to trade back multiple times to get more picks in the early rounds. BTW, with trading back you can possibly gamble on a QB in the third if you have multiple picks.
  4. I've always thought he had an average arm.
  5. I rarely watched McNabb's college career except for maybe one or two games, but back in the day wasn't Donavan the same kind of QB that Tim Tebow is?
  6. IMO Wade Phillips and John Fox are both history. This just seems like a forgone conclusion... Shanahan to the Cowboys (Jones won't be outbid by Snyder) Cowher to the Panthers
  7. The guy was a project and played every bit the part. That being said, he did play alright in 2006. Like I said before, I'd rather have Losman as the 3rd stringer than a rookie QB drafted in the mid to late rounds. 2010 is a "build the foundation" year so I wouldn't be upset at them giving a former Bill another shot.
  8. I wouldn't mind having Losman coming in as competition to Brohm and Fitzy in what will be a "building the foundation" year for the Bills. To me, he's a much better option than drafting some rookie QB mid to late round. I see 2011 as the year the Bills draft their 1st round QB of the future anyways (that's unless Brohm secures the job with a solid season).
  9. No inside info, it's just a logical hiring in a year where the Panthers suck and after hiring a new president of operations... http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index...3dschefter_adam
  10. He won't after this season. Cowher to Carolina is going to happen.
  11. Thanks, I think we can all agree that we're tired of watching our team being pushed around year after year.
  12. I see Ralph's choice coming from this group... New Guys... Russ Grimm Leslie Frazier Jim Harbaugh Old Guys... John Fox Brain Billick Marty Schottenhiemer
  13. You HAVE to take someone you have no idea will become a franchise QB? That doesn't make any sense. While I'll agree that if the Bills were in position to draft a Peyton Manning type of prospect they should, but there are no sure things like that this year. Locker, Clausen??? Sorry, but those guys do not fit the "franchise" QBs label. What I hope they do is trade down a few times and try to wind up with about six or seven draft picks in the first three rounds. Then use those picks on big fast and strong players for the OL, LBs and DL. Maybe you use one of those multiple picks on a QB like Tebow if he's there in the third. Sorry but this team needs an influx of new talent, not one guy with unrealistic expectations placed on him and who will probably set this team back another few years. I'm very comfortable with building the OL and letting Fitzy, Brohm and a lower level free agent QB fight it out in 2010, then get your QB in 2011 if none of them pan out.
  14. JP supporters, JP haters Trent supporters, Trent haters Jauron supporters, Jauron haters It's become an official putdown code word here. Didn't take long for Perry to become a lightning rod. I like the guy and still hope that he wins the remaining four games and retains the job. Odds he'll do either of those look very very slim, which luckily for the Bills are already in the process of looking for GMs and head coaches to try to become a relevant contender again. I'm supporting the Bills period.
  15. Oh no, not another official TSW battle to fight. I seriously have had my fill...
  16. I'd be right with you if it wasn't for Fewell's flip switching of this team. I'm hoping the Bills light up the Jets and TSW is busting out with crazy talk of winning the division.
  17. I was looking to the 2010 season when I heard that Jauron was not getting fired after last year. Just watching all of these previous backups (Jackson, Fitzy, Fewell) showing a little somethin' somethin' has me thinking that maybe the answers were here all along. Hey, at least I'm dreaming big dreams again.
  18. Amazing, I haven't been this excited about the Bills since I don't know when. Three guys...Perry Fewell, Fred Jackson and Ryan Fitzpatrick, just could be the leaders we've been waiting for the last 15 years. Why anyone would hope this team would lose is beyond my comprehension. I'm so psyched up right now, I can't wait for the kickoff! Never thought I'd thought say that this season.
  19. Just giving our soldiers, jihadists and liberals like Michael Moore a heads up that he really doesn't have the stomach for the war he felt was so necessary to protect and defend America. If that's what he said, he's just voted present on his most important decision as President.
  20. The Colts have the look of a one and done playoff team to me. I see a team like Pittsburgh or Tennessee beating them in the divisional round. Undefeated or not, they just aren't a very scary looking team. Plus, other than their Superbowl winning year, the Manning led Colts had a very star-crossed playoff history. I think the Chargers are looking like the team to beat in the AFC.
  21. TO looks like the only normal guy in that whole picture.
  22. I can see this team beating the Jets and Chiefs leading up to Fewell's make or break audition against the Pats. Now I'm not making any bold predictions considering how we haven't beat them since forever, but the game is at home and they'd have a good head of steam going and the players would know winning that game would cement Perry as the top Bill's head coaching candidate going into the last two games. But I don't want to get too excited here off of one win, I'm just saying I could see it unfolding that way.
  23. I see Shanahan as a guy who's perhaps too tightly wound for my liking. I don't want to hire someone who isn't rejuvenated and who's not ready to give it 100% effort with all the time and enthusiasm that entails. I fear that Shanahan is a spent coach who's just looking to save face with a big payday regardless of were he ends up. How hungry is Mike Shanahan and does he take the Buffalo job for the right reasons? Obviously he's a 100% better coach than Jauron, but do we really want another tightly wound head coach who hasn't won a playoff game in the past decade? I truly hope that Fewell takes the reigns and gets the Bills to win 4 or 5 of their remaining games solidifying his job as the head coach. I love Perry's coaching style and attitude. 180 degree difference to Dick Jauron. These last 5 games will be a good indicator of what to do in terms of the HC job. I'm just so thankful that it's fun to watch Bills games again.
  24. If Fewell gets this team moving in the right direction with solid five wins to end the season then he should be named the head coach. I don't care about big names, I just want someone who knows how to coach, loves to coach, loves Buffalo, is extremely competitive and has a lot of spark and fire in his belly.
  25. Wow, unreal, amazing...it was all those things and more. Reminded me of vintage John Elway. That Titan team has some serious magic fairy dust going on.
