Donte Whitner harassed on Twitter

Good, and I hope the Pats sign him. All bark, no bite. -
If I were Dick Jauron I would have A LOT of ammunition...
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dick could also mention... "Hey Trent, did you hear about that the rookie QB from USC? If I were a three year NFL veteran QB and Stanford alum, I know that I wouldn't want to be down a game to him in the division after week one. That would suck really bad." -

Bill Parcells would routinely tell his players this type of stuff. In fact, he'd tell them that that's what HE thought about them! Parcells knew that all players had buttons and the ones he pushed the most were of the "they're questioning your manhood...you gonna take that?" variety. The thing is that this stuff still worked when the Giants were a dominating team! NOBODY thinks this team will beat the Pats. Not even the biggest homer in the world thinks that will happen tonight. So Jauron would be stating fact if he indeed ever mentions it before the game. I would use it to my full advantage because in the end these are professionals, they do not want to hear such disrespectful (and truthful) things said especially as a group. -

Dude, I laugh every time I read fake Dick Jauron quotes. I still can't believe that a fiery, lust for life guy like Marv Levy hired an emotionless guy like Dick Jauron. Good luck to the Bills tonight, they're going to need it. -

I agree that in general pregame speeches don't make any difference. Except in circumstances like this when the team is about to play their first game of the season in front of a nationally televised Monday Night Football audience. My feelings are that the players would be far more receptive to hearing and amping themselves up to such harsh truisms coming from their head coach. And you know what? Guaranteed Bill Belichick would use it as motivation if the tables were turned (of course that would exist in some bizarroland parallel universe). When you have the ammo and the opportunity, you don't keep your powder dry. -
...and I mean A LOT, for tonight's pregame speech. I could flat out tell everyone in that visitor locker room that there's not one person, except your mommas, that believe that you will beat the Patriots tonight. I could tell Trent and TO that everyone's laughing at them saying there's no way they can outperform Brady and Moss. I could tell the defense that the Patriots rubbed it in their faces when they last met Brady with them running up the score. I could tell them that everyone outside this room thinks everyone inside this room is a joke. THIS is the speech that a REAL head coach would deliver in this precarious situation. Football has much to do with psychology and you must use everything at your disposal when given the chance. Sadly, I don't see Mr. Jauron delivering a speech like that. I think he would feel that it was beneath him to try and muster up "fake" anger. My point is that this where he'd be wrong, because I would have some "real" anger and be fired up to defend every last guy in that room after hearing something like that. Because it is all true. Do it Dick, be a real coach and give them that speech tonight baby.

I watched the RZC for the first time yesterday and couldn't believe how amazing it was to just sit there and watch all of the action in all of the games on one channel. It was surreal. That being said, you are right. My fondest memories of the sheer "experience" of watching football was before the nineties. This was when the clocked was stopped after a run out of bounds and didn't start again till the next play was run. Watching a game today, you just blink and it's in the second quarter already. I'm torn on this. RZC just might be video crack.

Sadly, the main problem with this team is that the Bills have had too many guys who know how to talk and say the right things in an interview, yet when it comes to Sundays look like it's the first time they've ever stepped onto a football field. I say just shut up and play like you have a clue for once.
-
In sports anything is possible and I don't doubt the Patriots are softer than in years past, but that being said I still think there's a very good chance the Patriots blow the Bills out on Monday night. But everyone here, even the doubters and haters, will be watching for that one shot in a million where a Jauron led football team beats a Belichick led football team in a nationally televised game.

Glenn Beck raped & murdered a young girl in 1990
1billsfan replied to Bad Lieutenant's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm not a fan of Beck's buffoonish hyperbolic personality. To me he's the opposite side of the Obermann coin in regards to the likability factor. What I do appreciate is the actually uncovering of bad guys like Van Jones or the corruption of government funded organizations like ACORN. If only the "respected" big media liberal news outlets still cared about the job of being journalists more than their political leanings. -
If they do fire Dick during the season (which is what I predict will end up happening), I think the best move would be to promote Perry Fewell to interim head coach and name Matt Sheldon (current linebackers coach) as the defensive coordinator. Give these guys a shot to see if they can turn it around. If not, tear the whole thing apart and start over with a new regime and a renewed sense of hope.

You have the originality of an episode of Two and a Half Men. FYI...I have my own business and work at home, I pay the mortgage and bills on time, I pay my taxes, I have excellent credit. Unlike you liberal freeloaders who avoid paying taxes at all costs and who voted for daddy Obama so he could wipe your ass and take care of everything. You marxist hippie punk. -
I don't know much about their involvement with ACORN, but the Republicans are just as culpable at getting this country in such a financial mess. Forced balanced budgets, term limits, rules about when and where you can work after you've been a member of Congress should be the biggest issues at midterm elections. Hopefully with citizen awareness and the internet, weeding out the bad guys will become much easier in the future.

Seriously, this is what our tax money is being used for. So Obama (big ACORN supporter) and his community organizers want us to trust him with another trillion for his healthcare program??????? Yeah right, good luck with that. Our government is so corrupt it's starting to make Mexico look good.

Excerpts from Obama's Speech Tonight
1billsfan replied to IDBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exactly. The healthcare bill should be pushed back until these financial conditions have been achieved... Give the non-spent stimulus money back to Americans. Stop spending money on needless pork barrel projects. Stop spending money on unnecessary things like 5 new corporate jets for congress. Don't waste half a million dollars on Air Force One NYC fly by pictures. Charlie Rangel and the rest of the democrats have to start paying their taxes (that should fund about half the healthcare bill right there). Immediately stop funding corrupt organizations like ACORN with taxpayers dollars. Fire all the Czars. Fix the money drain of Medicaid and Medicare (btw, why did they have to wait for a massive healthcare refom bill to do this?). When they stop wasting our money and fix the things that aren't working financially, then they can seriously start talking about a massive new government program. -

Never heard of that one. How long ago was that? These people are just now getting around to satirizing it? -
Oh thank goodness, ACORN has clean up it's act... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,549001,00.html Now they can go back to the important business of community organizing and using your taxpayer dollars in a responsible manner.

For satire to be funny doesn't it have to be based on something being true of the subject? Beck may act like a buffoon, but it appears that the guy has a very good accusation track record so far. He pretty much single handedly was responsible for Van Jones being exposed and brought down in disgrace. Anyone feel free to dig up something Beck said which was complete bulls**t and post it here. I think the wacky thing here is how a shmucky TV character like Glenn Beck has become one of the most influential people in politics. He and the rest of Fox are running circles around NBC, CBS and ABC news departments. The democrats have millions and millions of dollars at their disposal, they have the most charismatic President since John Kennedy, they have the majority in both houses, yet can't pass a single bill or find a single voice that can connect with America. Very strange days. -
Bills 3 Patriots 549 Belichick tastes Jauron's post game tears.

Fox is kicking the crap out of the TV and print news media. They are quickly making up for all of the Bush lapdog years. Oh wait, I forgot...that fearless investigative governmental watchdog Diane Sawyer is the new anchor at ABC. All is well. I'm sure Fox News is shaking in their shoes.

http://www.breitbart.tv/ "Fox News: Officials with the controversial community organizing group ACORN were secretly videotaped offering to assist two individuals posing as a pimp and a prostitute, encouraging them to lie to the Internal Revenue Service and providing guidance on how to claim underage girls from South America as dependents." ...and liberals wonder people why there is so much distrust of their current President. Reverend Wright, Van Jones, William Ayers, ties to corrupt government funded organizations like ACORN, dropping all charges of voter intimidation in the Philly Black Panther case, looking away from Charlie Rangel's glutenous and criminal tax evasion. But Obama thinks he can teach us all about America's "character"? Preach about "choice" when he's been an advocate for late term abortion rights which leaves the ultimate choice being made for the unborn? What was it that Pelosi said a few years ago regarding the "evil" Republicans? Drain the swamp? Exactly.

The Obama speech to school kids released
1billsfan replied to The Poojer's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well there's this... http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/20...ruther-deserver Oh and there's... An administration approved, snitch on your fellow dissenting Americans websites The pork in the 700 billion dollar stimulus bill Trying to ram through an unread 1300 page public option health care bill before August Robert Gibbs (he's asking us to be trusting of what that guy says? are you kidding me?) Obama had his chance to prove that he was the regular guy he campaigned as and he blew it big time. His Presidency hasn't stopped looking like amateur hour. Hopefully he can do a 180, give the finger to Pelosi and Reid, and regain some trust because America needs a strong leader right now, not a lap dog for the far left lunatic fringe. -

Why does it always have to be about him? Is he so devotion starved that he now needs to go to the people who were almost literally born yesterday and tell them to read and write good things about him? Yes the speech now has been made harmless, but the whole original and creepy "tell me how I inspire you" was way over the line.
