  1. That is true, at least he's talking nuclear energy plants. Hmm...wonder were he got that idea from? As for the first part, he was and still is a liar. Just like the classic liberal politician, he had no intention of living up to his high standards which got him elected in the first place. Americans took a big chance on a guy with virtually no record or experience and they got burned. The evidence of the anger towards Obama is the last three elections in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts. If it's so hard to live up to what you say then he should have never run in the first place. For the first time in history, the people are holding their politicians accountable, there are no excuses. Especially with an excuse starting out like "It is a known fact that politicians exaggerate..."
  2. Big problem for Obama is that he can't lie his way into a second term as president no matter who he's debating in 2012. Then there will also be the problem of that first term turd he'll be trying to polish to no avail. There are a whole lot of Americans who are very angry at being duped by a slick talking, but completely full of s___t, clueless liberal professor.
  3. At least they softened the blow of not drafting Oher or Orakpo with the J. Byrd pick in the second. Byrd was scary good last season. Let's see what Maybin can do at OLB.
  4. The Eagles are a team that will not give in unless it's at their price. Their price is probably nothing less than an early second round pick or multiple picks if a team is in the back half of the second round. I'd just laugh at them and see if they release him outright, only then would I be interested. I wouldn't give the Eagles anything. McNabb plays much older than the over forty Favre. The Bills need to treat their draft picks like they're gold and not roll the dice on a guy who could never win the big game to begin with. He's a decent guy, but I do NOT want the Bills spending any high draft picks for him. My prediction is that McNabb only plays in half the games from here on out due to injury and he's out of the league entirely in two years.
  5. This is a very cool draft exercise. It's eye opening who we originally think are great players who should be drafted high, and the reality of when they start to play in real NFL games... http://www.gbnreport.com/2009redo.html
  6. We are, as evidence by the tea party splintering off from the republicans and the mass democratic defections in the recent New Jersey and Massachusetts elections. The American people spoke loudly, and the Obama/Pelosi/Reid super majority liberal agenda was put to a stop. The incumbents are rightfully scared. They're all getting the boot in November. Party loyalty has never been so weak and voter anger has never been so strong.
  7. Fixed it. It's the modern day version of, "I didn't leave the democratic party, the democratic party left me." Yes, I know he didn't technically leave them, but he is leaving them in just as great of a sense. http://www.journalgazette.net/article/2010.../302049933/1066 But, he said, “my question to you, Mr. President, is (in) speaking to independents, conservative Democrats, moderate Republicans – people who know we have to do this – why should the Democratic Party be trusted? And are we willing to make some of the tough decisions to actually head this country in a better direction?” It's a shame, he was one of the few democratic party members of congress that I liked and who would have been willing to participate in bipartisanship work in DC.
  8. The feelings are mutual towards the most overrated QB in NFL history.
  9. I thank Charles for saying it. The Bills are irrelevant. They could use some public humiliation. Hopefully the new regime will do something about it. I'm angry at the Bills for not doing something at the end of the 2008 season when it was clear as day Jauron wasn't fit to be a head coach and the organization was a rudderless ship. The fans who are complaining about what Charles said sound like a person in denial about their problem during an intervention.
  10. Everyone here agrees that we need to find a good QB to win. That's why their best option is to either draft Bradford/Claussen if either are there (or through trading up), or they need to use this years picks on fortifying the other important starting roster spots (OT, DT, LB, DE) and then finding their future star QB next year in the first round. McNabb looks old to me and Buffalo's a team that's going through a complete overhaul. Even when he was young and was playing on good teams he was never able to get over the hump. To me, it'd be a ticket selling move and not a move that would be towards the goal of the Bills one day winning a Superbowl. If the Bills ever did use their #9 pick on him, it would go down as one of the worst trades in NFL history and it would cement their position as the laughingstock franchise of the NFL.
  11. Apparently there are plenty here partaking in the crack smoking. Donovan McNabb's career in the NFL is the mirror image of Charles Barkley's career in the NBA. Good enough to get you to the playoffs but not nearly good enough to beat the teams with really good players like Michael, Isiah and Magic. He's on the downside of his career, will never win you a championship, and is not worth anything more than a fourth round pick. Even giving the Eagles a third would be a foolish thing to do.
  12. I don't think Edwards has a real passion for the game of football, and if he ever did it has probably knocked out of him from his time spent at Stanford and Buffalo. I think he's happiest on a golf course somewhere in 80 degree weather. It would be nice if he rededicated himself and spent this entire off season training like a mad man to prove all the doubters wrong. I somehow don't get the feeling that this is what he's doing.
  13. That's a funny billboard. The words and photo match perfectly.
  14. Emanuel and Gibbs are the worst Presidential aides ever. Maybe Gibbs is aiming at getting a job at The Onion or The Daily Show after he's eventually fired. Americans have just about had it with the first adolescent administration in history.
  15. I was mainly poking fun at the OP's characterizations. Palin has two years to either modify her folksiness or she can forget about being a real threat. My guess is that she's so polarizing that she's a very longshot to get the nomination. You do need the independents to get elected or you can forget it.
  16. Because she's an infamous political figure who sounds like the "regular folk" in a time and place where the "cut off from reality" Ivy League types in the bubble of Washington, DC are destroying a once great and proud country. ...oh, and she's kind of cute too. By 2012, this country will be in such shambles after "genius" Harvard Alum Obama's first term that an "outrageously stupid" outsider like Sarah Palin, who's widely considered by liberals as having only a first grade reading level, would beat him in a landslide if she ran.
  17. Aren't they one of those "hip" rap bands that like to drop the f bomb every other word? NFL will never have a rap artist or band that can't help themselves to show the world they know every four letter word. Who knew that the C & C Music Factory shtick would still be popular today.
  18. After four years of watching Dick Jauron coaching scared, it was an absolute pleasure and exciting to watch Sean Payton throwing caution to the wind and grabbing the brass ring as a reward. I don't know what game you were watching, but as a fan of football, I loved that Superbowl. Also, it gives hope that even Bills fans can one day feel what the Saints fans are feeling.
  19. I love the halftime shows. It brings a sense of communal experience to a 500 channel, satellite radio nation who's attention grows more and more scattered every year. I think Van Halen (with David Lee Roth, duh) would do a Superbowl halftime show justice. It needs to be an American band this time around and Bon Jovi has been way too visible for it to be a special event.
  20. Is this still Bill Polian talking or you? Polian is a very thin skinned man. A couple of years ago he hung up the phone during a WFAN interview because the radio personality was questioning if his team sitting players for resting purposes hurt his team in previous playoff appearances.
  21. Your only Superbowl win was against a team quarterbacked by Rex Grossman.
  22. Believe it or not, that was by design. I was listening to the Boomer show on WFAN this morning and someone mentioned that the brilliance of that gameplan was that the Parcells/Belichick actually wanted the Bills to have success running on them because they were so fearful of Kelly's almost unstoppable passing attack. Not only does it run the clock, it would take Kelly out of his comfort zone and he wouldn't have the same confidence in the pass at the end of a tight game.
  23. That's something that rarely gets mentioned. So it's ok to play and risk injury going for stats but it's not ok to play for an undefeated season? I'm so glad the Saints beat them.
  24. Because they are the first UNDEFEATED team to do this. It's the whole reason why there was a controversy.
  25. Didn't someone here predict this would be how the Saints would win. Later on I saw Irvin mention this aspect on the NFL channel's pregame show. Payton is truly a clone of Parcells.
