  1. I think that's because they feel there aren't more than 7 players with a "top ten pick" grade.
  2. It gives the top 3-4 OLB prospects, the top 3-4 DE prospects, the 1st round value board and names of players who's values are rising and falling... http://www.gbnreport.com/scoutsnotebook.htm One thing that's clear is that unless Spiller falls to the Bills there will be little chance the Bills will have to trade back. I just don't see that marque player teams will need to trade up for. The values really flatten out after the top 5. Here I see that are the players in the Bills' wheelhouse... 6-10 (picks) Bulaga - potential maxed out? Morgan - good at a lot of things but not great at any one thing? 11-15 (picks) Claussen - Quinn II? Spiller (trade bait?) T. Williams - too stiff and mechanical? McClain - Speed? Not a fit for the 3-4? 15-20 (picks) Davis Campbell Iupati Pierre-Paul 21-30 (picks) D. Williams Price Odrick Cody Graham Kindle
  3. Maybe the players were watching too much cable news and getting into fights.
  4. The problem is that the highest rated players start to level off after the first six picks. Who's to say that Buluga or Williams are going to be better players than Iupati (who's said to be a mid to late 1st pick)? I don't see much of a difference. The same can be said about a few other positions. Trading back in this draft is a very good idea if it gets you another second.
  5. If the Browns and Raiders pass on trading back and Spiller is still on the board, then the Bills would be foolish not to trade back. I'll bet you that Seattle was wishing he'd still be there with their second pick. The more I think about it, with Holmgren in charge, the Browns will probably be the team that reaps another second in return for swapping firsts with a team wanting Spiller.
  6. That's easy, anyone who's looking to land CJ Spiller. With the success of Chris Johnson, this kid is going to get picked between 7 and 9, bank on it. Now the question will be who's the team that trades back...Browns, Raiders or Buffalo?
  7. You're right, those grannies and their scary flag waving is very off putting. That congressman should have had more practice with that little "Hey, you spat on me!" skit he was doing.
  8. The congressman was not "spat" upon. Stop trying to lie to people here. For those here who don't watch responsible media, there's an obvious anti-republican, anti-tea party, anti-right propoganda campaign going on by the democrats and MSM in an desperate attempt to minimize the damage done in the mid-term elections. In the incident where congressman and the media outright lied that a protester spat on a congressman, the bad acting by the congressman is laughable. It's clear that Nancy's march through an angry crowd was an attempt to bait the protesters into doing something that they could use against them... http://www.breitbart.tv/spit-take-video-ca...unter/#comments This makes nasty charges of the n-word use (not one was caught on tape) completely unfounded and bogus. BTW, where was the outrage when Bush was hung in effigy at numerous protests? Where was the outrage over the "Kill Bush" signs? There was silence by the Dems and the media. Now, imagine if you will what would happen if these sick extreme expressions of decent were used against Obama?
  9. Article II, Section B, Paragraph 5
  10. I'm getting the impression that he may be the safest offensive lineman pick after Okung. The other guys have that "possibly another Mike Williams" fear factor thing going on.
  11. Thanks for the slow trigger finger...lol I've got a strong feeling the Bills are going to shake things up on draft day and that is kind of the way I hope it all goes down.
  12. I never talked about the "media buzz" effect, only the PR effect. It's a two birds with one stone situation. With all of the LT talk, you'd never know that the number one priority of this team is to find a QB. But QB is in fact the number one priority. It's not even an arguable point. So that is Nix's challenge. Does he wait till 2011 or try to trade up to the Rams' #1 spot? Does he wait at #9 to see if Clausen is still there? Or does he roll the dice on the unorthodox Tebow? It just isn't logical to think that Nix will wait a whole other year to get his QB of the future. Secondly, considering the "crickets chirping" offseason, the Bills are in a very bad spot in trying to market this team. Two birds, one stone. So with that being said, Nix has stated that he'll only be looking at players who've proven themselves over the long haul at the college level. That would be Bradford or Clausen in the 1st, or Tim Tebow in the second. Drafting a "high profile" college QB will no doubt also be favorable to the Bills ticket sales, that will be the icing on the cake for Nix.
  13. Beggars can't be choosers. The Bills currently have no QB (the most important position in football) of value on their roster. Clausen will be drafted by the Redskins, so don't panic if that's your worry. If he's somehow still available for the Bills, then don't be surprised if my prediction comes true. Risky or not, the Bills are in no position to turn down an opportunity like that.
  14. QB is the hardest position to predict. I have no idea who will be the best QB in this draft. I'm just predicting what will happen given the events of this offseason. I do not see the Bills passing on a QB prospect as good as Clausen at #9. It has nothing to do with Quinn's NFL production. It has more to do with who's currently on the roster and the opportunity to choose a QB who's played at a high level at a big time college.
  15. After replacing Dick Jauron with another retread coach (not saying Gailey's a bad choice, just PR-wise) and signing absolutely no one of note in free agency, the Bills WILL be drafting either Clausen or Tebow. Mark it down.
  16. Two things which right or wrong can't be overlooked... 1. The Bills need a QB... 2. ...and they need to sell tickets after a depressing offseason. If Clausen is there at #9 they are going to take him, with Clausen gone they will select Tebow in the 2nd. I approached it as a kind of a prediction/best-case-scenario exercise.
  17. You do realize that he already had Jay Cutler on his team don't you?
  18. http://www.draftcountdown.com/sub/Mock-Draft-B.php "Idaho’s Mike Iupati is a big, strong, tough, physical blocker and also a terrific athlete with considerable upside. Most feel that Iupati is perfectly capable of playing inside or outside at the next level" The same sight lists him as an OG but look at the write up, sounds like he can handle either OT position... http://www.draftcountdown.com/ScoutingRepo...Mike-Iupati.php "Excellent height and bulk --- Huge frame with long arms --- Outstanding strength --- Physical and aggressive --- Superb athlete with good quickness and agility --- Mobile with great range --- Dominant once locked on --- Uses his hands well --- Explosive with a violent initial punch --- Stout at the point of attack --- Gets a terrific push in the run game --- Appears to be a natural knee bender --- Wide base and nice balance --- Has a mean streak and finishes his blocks --- Solid instincts and awareness --- Intense and Competitive --- Hard Worker --- Team Leader --- Offers positional versatility --- Still has considerable upside. " My guess is that Iupati would be our RT with Bell starting at LT. Depending on how well Bell does, the 2011 draft could be where we finish the offensive line building project and get our LT in the 1st round. With the left handed Tebow as our qb the need at LT is slightly lowered and could be pushed back another year.
  19. Here' s my 4 round mock draft prediction... RD 1. Mike Iupati OT, Idaho...solid pick for the O line RD 2a.Tim Tebow QB, Florida...good or bad, the Bills are in position to gamble their #2 on him, LT no longer as big of concern RD 2b. Koa Misi OLB, Utah, Maybin is on notice that we have his replacement RD 3. Cam Thomas DT, North Carolina or Linval Joseph DT, East Carolina...we need to draft a real DT with potential RD 4. Riley Cooper WR, Florida...help out the new qb's transition and our team's WR problems with this pick How did it all go down? Well after the Redskins choose Clausen (Shanny takes an OL over a QB???? Sorry, but no way that happens), the Bills start looking for trading partners... ...so when the Bills get on the clock both QBs are gone and they're left with a bunch of questionable mid-1st round OTs on the board that they aren't comfortable with...they are also left with questionable value and fit issues on the defensive side of the ball. ...therefore I could see the Bills using that #9 pick as trade bait for a team like the 49ers salivating to pick CJ Spiller who will be quickly rising in value to the point where the 49ers have no shot at #17 to get him. So the Bills get the 49ers' 2nd round pick in return for swapping 1st round picks.
  20. Newsflash...we're Bills fans, we're not trying to be professional QBs. Trent Edwards is not being forced at gunpoint to continue his career as an NFL qb. For me, Trent's toughness jumped the shark a couple of years ago after an ugly loss to the Browns when he was complaining how cold and damp he was in a post game press conference. That's a blasphemous statement for a Bills QB. But not only that, we Bills fans spent the last four years watching one of the worst head coaches in the history of the NFL. Why? Because of the myth that it was all the player's fault. I see Edwards in the same vein, that we are supposed to buy into the silly myth that he's just been held back because of bad coaching. How about the obvious fact that both Jauron and Edwards simply plain ol' suck. Doesn't make them bad people, but after ten years of horrible football I don't think Bills fans should have to apologize for making honest assessments of players like Edwards. This includes questioning their toughness. If Trent doesn't like being smacked around then maybe he should either get rid of the ball sooner, or retire to a golf course somewhere in Cali.
  21. I was listening to a NYC radio show yesterday and the host was talking about Pelosi's gavel walk. He thought that there was a very good possibility that this "march" was a deliberate attempt at provoking the Tea Party into trying to get something on tape that they could send to the MSM so as to marginalize all of them ahead of the midterm elections as a bunch of racist anti-social lunatics who are stuck in the stone age. Then I read this today... http://www.soderstrome.com/2010/03/26/the-...-the-tea-party/ Look at the supposed "spitting" event and ask yourself, does it look like it was intentional?... http://www.breitbart.tv/spit-take-video-ca...unter/#comments What was the purpose of marching through the anti-healthcare bill demonstrators? Were members of congress lying about racial remarks and being spat on? Why won't they release their tapes? Looks more and more like the racial and homophobic remarks never happened. If this is the case then how underhanded and sleazy was it of the elected members of congress to outright LIE to the media and in the chambers about the events of that day? If true, it's sickening.
  22. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...0032501309.html "Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform "a miracle" and a major victory for Obama's presidency, but couldn't help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago."
  23. To you, offending muslims with a stupid racially tinged joke is call for outrage, but calling a women a "horse-faced B word" is not only fine but something you actually do. Here's a top ten list of the 10 most disgusting attacks on conservative women... http://newsbusters.org/blogs/colleen-raezl...-conservative-w ...hate speech against women apparently is ok for you and all of your slimeball liberal buddies as long as it's against "conservative" women. You're all a bunch of classless hypocrites.
  24. I hear it's the same guy who sucker punched Snookie.
