  1. Anyone else think the left's (media, blogs, message boards) initial and continuing attempt to score cheap political points over the dead body of a little girl (and everyone else killed or injured) is a very sick and twisted thing to do? It's amazing to me that it's still happening in this thread. How many right wing tea party members have an occult alter in their back yard? http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2011/01/10/Strange-shrine-found-at-Loughners-home/UPI-64141294681299/ But they just can't stop themselves, can they. Before anyone knew who this guy was, they were blaming the tea party, talk radio, Sarah Palin. This crazy guy had a problem towards this congresswoman since 2007, AKA before Sarah Palin was ever picked by McCain from virtual obscurity.
  2. I agree, this should have been addressed by the Bills organization by now.
  3. In the 2010 draft, the difference between New Orleans' 3rd and Seattle's 4th was 16 slots. The Bills obviously thought that the 2011 draft would look very much the same and decided that getting an extra rd 5 pick in 2012 from the Seahawks was the much better offer. Sucks for the Bills that Seattle played well enough this year to drop that pick.
  4. The funny thing about that run was that though as epic looking as it was, it was so slow that Matt Hasselbeck was running with Marshawn trying to throw some blocks.
  5. The hypocrisy is so shamelessly amazing. Nice photo of a rational left person holding a giant painting of Bush's decapitated head with blood gushing out of the neck.
  6. Oh please, three years ago when Bush was in office the left was demonizing everything associated with the government even to the point of saying that 911 was an inside job. Give it a rest.
  7. A member of our congress was shot through the head. The political discussions regarding motivations and ramifications are simply unavoidable. This lunatic's only intention was probably to silence the voices in his head.
  8. Apparently you didn't get the part where my viewpoint was something I completely fabricated and was a purposeful "nutty" take on the left and mental institutions. The same assertion that the sheriff made, it all Rush's fault.
  9. That run instantly reminded me of the that movie "300"…that's how awesome that run was!
  10. It sounds like this kid should have been locked up in a mental institution. The left feels that locking people up is against peoples' human rights. So I blame the left. This makes about as much sense as your ridiculous assertions.
  11. For all of the people that say the Bills are so so far away from success, just look at what the Seahawks just did. They found their way into the playoffs and just took out another overrated team in the Saints. The fans here who think that the Bills are no where near success just don't understand what the NFL has become, a collection of bad to decent teams where you're only one good offseason from turning it around. The Bills are well positioned for success in 2011. Believe it.
  12. It's outrageous for that sheriff to mention racism and bigotry as the reason for this tragic shooting. For the last couple of years both sides, left and right, have been calling each other's views as "crazy". Now, we're all reminded what real "crazy" is. This kid is a real "crazy" person. Is it too much for the sheriff to take a step back and investigate this before blaming it on racists and bigotry (aka conservative movement)?
  13. Let's not worry about league domination. Here's a look at who Fitzpatrick and the Bills will be facing in 2011… Home: Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Eagles, Raiders, Broncos, Redskins, Titans. Road: Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Chiefs, Cowboys, Giants, Chargers, Bengals. I see the Patriots (twice), Eagles and Chargers as the only games in which Fitzpatrick could very well be outmatched scoring-wise. That's only four games.
  14. The leap that Fitzpatrick made this year was extraordinary. It amazes me that fans still can't see what me and the other intelligent posters here saw in 2010. He improved his QB rating by 12 points. The guy came off the bench to throw 23 TDs in 13 games. That's real good. Stevie Johnson had 10 TDs (should have been 11)! Give this very smart dude another year in the same system, a complimentary running game and a TE, the sky's the limit for him and this offense. There's no way that he doesn't improve that percentage number in 2011.
  15. How many of those guys had a new head coach and offensive scheme? How many of those guys were stuck on the 2nd team (getting much fewer snaps) in the entire training camp and first two games? How many of those guys made hay from a 7th round pick and a couple of undrafted rookie receivers?
  16. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Fitzpatrick made no-name players Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Naaman Roosevelt and Roscoe Parrish look like very good players. That's a clear sign he's a VERY GOOD qb. As you said...why complicate it? Watch the Games and if you can't figure it out then find another sport to watch because you just don't get it.
  17. Fitzpatrick, Williams, Jackson, Johnson, Wood, Levitre, Moats, Nelson, Byrd, McGee and Spiller. IMO, these guys are just as solid of a foundation which that team had. Then you have guys like Stroud, Poz, Bell, Merriman and Evans who are good enough to be serviceable starters on a winning team. The talent level of teams in the NFL is not "all that" right now. You have the Patriots and then a bunch of "also rans." The Bills are much closer to the "also rans" than you may think. Just look at how this team performed the Ravens, Steelers, Bears, Chiefs and Dolphins. That was not smoke and mirrors, our team just needs a few more players to get that 9 or 10 win season in 2011. Throw the record away, I saw a big difference in this team's ability than in years past. Let's get some front seven defenders in here, get some holes opened up for our RBs and teach these guys to hold onto the ball instead of fight for meaningless extra one or two yards.
  18. Biggest myth ever…no matter how you slice it, in the world of the NFL playing "not to lose" is NOT playing hard. Hence his current almost invisible status of being a position coach.
  19. Fitz's lack of production???? What a frikkin absurd statement. 23 touchdowns in 13 games is now considered lack of production???? Seriously, do you really think that???? Please answer this, I want to hear your rational. I swear, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have ruined the game for ALL quarterbacks forever going forward because of the unreasonable standards being attached to this position by simple minded fans. These guys are two of the all time greats of this game. It's would be the same as if NBA fans of the 90's would wonder why their star player isn't scoring 35 a night like Michael Jordan.
  20. What you're not getting is that in all of those games the teams were playing it for real. Both teams were all playing their starters. Playing for keeps. Once the Bills knew that the Jets were playing Brunell and a bunch of backups, they treated this one like a pre season game. And considering it was the last game of the year and it was on the road, they obviously didn't give the same effort as they would in a real game. Brohm was probably trying as hard as he could, but the receivers weren't going to lay it on the line in a meaningless game only to get nailed and be injured for the next three or four months. They beat Miami, they got trounced by this year's Superbowl winner, then they packed it in for the fake game finally. There's really no need to over-think it or make it something it's not.
  21. Fitzpatrick took about 30 games to become a real NFL quarterback just like Drew Brees. In his first three years Brees was considered a failure. Even after two good seasons for SD, Miami didn't even go crazy trying to sign the guy. So while Fitzpatrick may not have the accuracy of Brees like I said, he does seem to have had the same learning curve as him. Throwing 23 touchdown passes in 13 games against all of the top defenses that he faced was very impressive. He boosted his QB rating 12 points this year from last. He made no name undrafted rookies look like pretty good players. He made Stevie Johnson look like a pro bowler. So yes, I do think he's our version of Drew Brees. I can't wait to see if he can get even better next year. I think he can. I don't think he'll ever reach the elite level of Brees, but I think he could eventually become just a notch below him.
  22. Both Brohm and Brown played. What else do you need to know? Once the Jets had clinched their playoff birth and the Bills knew the Jets were going to treat this one like pre season, their brains had turned off and checked out of this season. You can't create the drama of a real game when there was none to begin with. I can't believe that any fan would try to sell that this was a real game in which the Bills were into playing. The Bills were into not getting hurt in a meaningless game with backups playing in it, that's what they were into. They did not play hard at all.
  23. I've been ripping into this team the last few years. I saw what this team did against supposed really good teams like the Ravens, Steelers, Bears, Chiefs. This team can absolutely turn those into wins next year. I think that a whole lot of fans here are stuck on the NFL of a few years ago, when there were 5 or 6 really dominant teams. I look around the league now and see only one dominant team remaining, the Patriots. While that sucks that their in our division, what doesn't suck is that the Bills are only a few players away to challenge these other flawed teams that are currently in the playoffs. The landscape is not nearly as bad as people here think.
  24. First off, the Bills beat Miami on the road and with them still alive for a playoff birth. Exactly how does that win kill anything???? Secondly, do you know what the following numbers represent?…39, 31, 45, 45, 36, 31, 34, 38…Cutting to the chase, they're Pats scoring totals since they lost to the Browns. They have rolled over EVERYBODY since the Browns game. Lastly, I was at the season ender against the Jets and that game was a farce. A glorified preseason game that had ZERO intensity. I've been to a lot of NFL games and this one was NOT a real game fella. I started a thread about how this team and this year was at the very beginning of becoming a very good team. The signs are there. I'm laughing at all of the pessimism. I do understand it considering the last ten years, but I'm still laughing. With a few key additions, we've finally have a solid group of guys to have a winning record and a possible wildcard in 2011.
  25. We were always drafting out of the elite group spots between the 1st and 6th picks. That's the BIG difference this year. The Bills were left with taking Spiller or Bulaga and I'd still bet that Spiller will become a much better player. That pick will prove his worth in 2011.
