Video breakdown of Smith, Glennon and Barkley... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap2000000089114/Scout-s-take-Top-QB-prospects Here's a guy that I like... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000065839/article/florida-states-ej-manuel-settles-doubts-with-win-over-clemson No way I would take Barkley. I'm on the Smith, Glennon and Manuel bandwagons for that 1st round pick.

The Bills will no doubt be picking around yet 10 again. Geno Smith will be long gone. My hope is that the Bills throw caution to the wind and just go ahead and select EJ Manuel with their first pick (assuming he's not seen as a 1st round QB). Huge, athletic kid with a big arm who will in no way be there in the second round. He can sit a year behind Fitzpatrick and become our Colin Kaepernick. Who cares what the experts say about it. Let them laugh. We need a QB who's at least got the foundational size, arm and athleticism to become a great NFL QB. I'd even double down on QB in the 2014 draft. Finding their next great QB is the #1 priority and I don't care if they have to blow their next three first rounders to find one.

Chan Will NOT Change How He Calls Plays
1billsfan replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CJ Spiller has honest to goodness superstar talent. Gailey's handling of Spiller clearly shows why he isn't cut out as an NFL head coach. A little off topic, but if I had been calling the shots leading up to last draft (and I mentioned this at the time) I would have traded Fred Jackson for a pick and bundled whatever I needed to bundle to get RGIII. I might have even mentioned throwing in Marcel Dareus. But hey, what do I know. The Bills would be one of the teams favored to go to the Superbowl in the AFC if they had both RGIII and Spiller in the same backfield. Gailey is clearly losing the team and there's no putting the toothpaste back in the tube. As with the fans, they no longer view him as a real head coach. -
Awesome post. I was an advocate for hiring Perry Fewell after his interim duties and I still wish he were our head coach today. This post should be pinned at some point if the feeling becomes overwhelming to bring him back. There is not a better fit out there and we'd be lucky to get him to say yes considering he wasn't the one hired in the first place.

Buddy says he wants to draft a QB this year
1billsfan replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about a trade for Kirk Cousins? He's already had a year of NFL seasoning, he looked very good in preseason and in the small duty he had in the regular season. In the interviews I saw, I remember the guy being a true leader-type who would no doubt give his all. Not sure about how strong of an arm he has though (any college fans here know?). He needs to be able to throw a decent deep ball even to consider a trade for him. -
What The Republican Party Needs To Do
1billsfan replied to Rob's House's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Obama was a once in a lifetime, iconic, historical and charismatic figure for the dems. I was very wrong about thinking that his record was bad enough to do him in this election, overcoming these extremely strong traits. As for the future of both parties, the dems don't have another Obama waiting in the wings. Not even close. The repubs do have Marco Rubio. The dems best shot is to have the country's economy and financial stability humming along nicely four years from now. That's up to Obama getting people off food stamps and handouts and getting them full time jobs with his policies. There will be no more talk about George Bush. The dems will own whatever economy we have at that point. Even if the economy is a toss up issue, I would think the young hispanic Rubio would beat the "old, white and established" Cuomo or Hillary. The repubs need to immediately hand over the reigns to the young and diverse guns of their party. There are many of them unlike the overwhelmingly white dem leaders. The stereotype Mitt "Richie Rich" Romney face of the party should be a thing of the past starting today. The sad part of Obama winning is that it will end up hurting the people who voted for him the most. Obama won't hurt the working people because they can and will make do for another four years. -
I think that the rampant polling methods of oversampling dems was because there was so much stock put into Obama that they had to make it appear it was close even when it never was really close. Their 2008 vs 2012 math was so far off. They just didn't care. They just covered their ears and said "Na na na na,..I can't hear you...na na na na." Why did they do this? I think it was to save as much face as possible. I think there are many people in the heavy liberal bubble places of NYC and DC who really do think Obama will win. Outside of the bubble cities though, I think the majority of Americans know it's Romney's day. The polls leading up to today were always a joke.

In the second debate, Obama said that he was offended by the suggestion that anyone in his administration, including the U.N. ambassador, would mislead the country on Libya. Why would they deny CIA operatives 3 different requests for help against a "spontaneous" mob angered by a youtube video? A "spontaneous" mob is too threatening to the US military forces?... http://www.foxnews.c...ck-sources-say/

Obama recycles Putin "put out for me" ad...
-
For the democratic party who say that they're the party who's all about empowering women, this ad completely implodes that notion. To think you can sway young women voters by suggesting they lose their voter "virginity" to their "cool" presidential candidate, should tell everyone that democrats think young women are nothing more than dumb "lady parts". This ad goes beyond insulting women and into the realm of asking young women to become part of a creepy sexual cult.

Simply put, Romney will remove uncertainty from the business climate releasing one to two trillion dollars of investor money from the sidelines. He'll do this by stopping obamacare, relaxing regulation requirements and lowering taxes on investments. This puts the ball in motion for a real recovery. Once Americans start feeling comfortable about their jobs and income you will see an explosion of demand from a consumer who've been waiting a long time to feel good about spending money again. America's a rocket ready to take off and Romney has the ignition switch.

US Had 48 Hours Notice Of Potential Danger
1billsfan replied to Dante's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Rush Limbaugh just said on his radio show that this is on par with Woodward and Bernstein helping Nixon cover up Watergate. The crazy thing is that anyone with Fox News or an internet connection knows there's been a huge cover up and these emails prove it. -

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/10/24/White-House-Repeatedly-Claimed-No-Evidence-terror-Attack SEPT 14: CARNEY: "We certainly don’t know; we don’t know otherwise. You know, we have no information to suggest that it was a preplanned attack." The story goes on to list the other boldface lies of the administration. BTW, I saw no mention of this story on the Washington Post website. Amazing. -

Actually that statement should be reversed. This is the beginning of the end of Obama's presidency. I went to the ABC, CBS and NBC news websites to see how they were covering this latest development. NBC had nothing on this. CBS and ABC had articles with CBS faintly mentioning the possibility of the administration "misleading" the American people. There is now official proof of a cover up. If this was Bush there would be gigantic headlines today on those MSM websites. Thanks to the new media and Fox News, Obama will eventually be forced to give a press conference on this because this is only going to get bigger. I'm sure they'll come up with more lies on why they covered up the truth, but the damage will most certainly be done at that point. Funny how just yesterday, Obama was giving stump speeches on who do you trust more, him or Romney. Maybe Romney knew that these emails were coming out and that's why he didn't "go there" knowing what was going to hit the fan. -
A couple of things that you may not have known...
1billsfan replied to Juror#8's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There are just way too many differences to be able to compare this 2012 election to the 2004 election. Things like 9/11, the economy, the historical rise of Obama being the first black president with John Kennedy-like popularity, the MSM's treatment of the incumbents. Romney's beat down of Obama in the first debate was much more like Buster Douglas literally and figuratively knocking out the big bad legend of Mike Tyson. Obama lost all of his swagger just like Tyson lost his after that loss. -
My first reaction to Mario Williams and Marcel Dareus becoming Bills was that I wondered if they were fully committed to the game of football. They both were phenomenal physical specimens who's productions no where near matched their physical talents. Sadly, it seems as if my gut reactions might have been right. My hope is that the Bills trade Dareus for the purpose of adding a high 2013 pick as trade ammunition to move up for a franchise QB in the 2013 draft. If someone offered a second round pick for Fred Jackson I'd do that to for the same purpose. This team needs a franchise QB and they need to lay the foundation to get one in 2013.

Trump has pictures of Travolta and Obama at a "Scientologitst" meeting and that's why Michelle bailed out of the Al Smith dinner...it all makes so much sense now.

Maybe the surprise is more of the John Travolta variety? Wouldn't that make for an interesting last couple of weeks...LOL

This has to be one of the most ridiculous things ever said on this PPP board. -

We're talking about affirmative action? Seriously? Affirmative action?...LOL I think there's an awful lot of Obama supporters here who are stunned and desperate for answers about this election and where it's going. When we start seeing threads about affirmative action I think it's time to stop the BS train. Here's your answer... Obama lost this election in the first debate with Romney. On that night, 70 million Americans saw a frail, scared and unprepared president and said "check please". There was a historic shift in the polls and perceptions of both candidates. Even the skewed polls have the race tied now. That means that Gallup is right and Romney does have a solid 6 point lead. Romney will definitely win OH and it's 50-50 he wins PA. -
There's no reason for a coaching changes until after the season. IMO it's silly to talk about. This team's clearly not Superbowl ready due in large part to the very poor starting QB situation. Fixing the defense, and in turn winning a few extra games, would only hurt this franchise by pushing them out of position to draft a 1st round franchise QB in the 2013 draft. They roll with who they have and see where the chips fall. This was a fun game to watch and to be honest I'm not terribly upset because I have no delusions of Superbowl grandeur until they hopefully get their franchise QB in 2013. In today's NFL the defenses are screwed. Yes we could be much better on that side, but it's not about defenses anymore. It's all about getting someone like Eli Manning who did what Fitzpatrick could not do. Win the game when they needed him most.

I mentioned in another thread that New Jersey might be in play for the same reasons. The two most recent polls from RCP has Romney down by only 7 and 8 points and had an oversamplings of D+10 and D+11... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/nj/new_jersey_romney_vs_obama-1912.html This is a state where republican Chris Christie beat out Corzine who had Obama campaigning for him heavily at the time. It was almost as if Obama had a lead weight effect for Corzine. If Obama wins NJ, it will be by less than five points.
