It's because of these two reasons, why Eastwood's speech will go down as one of the most iconic in convention history. A big problem with living in today's plugged-in world is that we're bombarded with opinions...twitter, blogs, 24/7 cable news political pundits, that it's forced everyone in the public eye to become so polished and rehearsed that we no longer get those "classic" memorable moments. Maybe this is why reality tv is so big in America, because it's unscripted (to varying degrees). Maybe it's one of the reasons sports is so big, because it's unscripted. Our celebrities, actors, musicians and politicians have all become boring and predictable automatons. I liked Eastwood's speech very much. It cracked me up even though he did have me worried there a couple of times. It was weird and cool at the same time. He's a legend, he's 82, he's the original American "badass" all modern badass wannabe actors were judged against, and he could not care less about which panty-waisted professional opinion maker said what on an internet blog. That's awesome to me.

Obama's letter to fallen SEALS…

You embarrass yourself when you write adolescent stuff like this. You do know that, right? -
Obama's letter to fallen SEALS…
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's a point the article highlighted, not me. I'm outraged (if true) about Obama using an electronic pen instead of putting forth the most minimal of efforts and writing the signature himself. -
Obama's letter to fallen SEALS…

Well since it's not a stamp and would possibly be a robotic device holding a pen, the signatures wouldn't be exact identical matches. -
were signed with an electric pen… http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/08/obama-honored-fallen-seals-by-sending-their-parents-a-form-letter-signed-by-electric-pen/ Has this been done by other presidents???? This is beyond shameful if true.

Mia Love: House N*gger and dirty worthless whore
1billsfan replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's not even september and the democratic line of attack has officially become anyone not giving praise to the almighty Barack Obama are either racists if you're white, or dirty filthy (fill in the blank) if you happen to be of color. Wow, what's it going to be like in October? It's ugly stuff like this that makes me believe that this will be a landslide election for Romney. I almost wish Romney's speech would be 10 seconds long... "If you want a job, vote for me. If you want to sit on your ass, vote for the other guy. Good night and God bless everybody!" -

Romney Is Now A Birther!
1billsfan replied to Duck_dodgers007's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The only sick thing was that it was a lame joke. Romney should have said..."I'm sorry, but Obama's birth certificate is a dead issue to us. I just talked to Mayor McCheese and he said he said the certificate is legit." -

I would LOVE to hear Chris Christie say something that cuts to the core like this… "Obama's record is SO bad…he's got no other options than to run on the record of Bill Clinton. How embarrassing is that for Obama!? You have failed SO badly at your job as president, that you have to go and ask your biggest political enemy to help bail you out? Wow. Here's Obama's 2012 convention theme…'Hey, weren't the 90's great! Yeah, they were great, yeah…' "Hey, remember 'Don't Stop' by Fleetwood Mac? Yeah, they was a great song…yeah…' And their campaign theme is 'Forward'!!!!? LOL...you can't be serious!? This is the very definition of 'fail' people." -

Registered voter polls are not a true indicator of how an election will go. Also, considering that it was done by NBC you can rest assure that they oversampled democrats by a much larger than normal margin. Then if you factor in the enthusiasm gap, it's not at all looking good for Obama. The Fox News poll went from a registered voter poll a week or two ago in which Obama had a huge lead, to a likely voter poll in which Romney now leads. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I felt I needed to let you know so you won't be too upset at the final 2012 results. BTW, I have no data to back it up but I think about 5% of white democrats who say they're voting for Obama are lying to the pollsters because being against Obama is a public admission to being a racist in the democratic world. If the polls start to swing Romney's way it might open up the flood gates so much so that the election will be foregone conclusion in favor of Romney. -

Romney Is Now A Birther!
1billsfan replied to Duck_dodgers007's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If Palin is a half-wit, what does that make Obama and Biden? Seriously. She was right on just about everything. She was right about Obama and what he'd do to this country. She's was right about energy. She was right about government overspending. But she's a half-wit? I just don't get the rationalization of seeing Obama as smart and Palin as dumb. The reality of what they both stand for and the state of the economy completely blows up that false MSM narrative. I understand that she's very polarizing, but in the end it turns out that she was right on pretty much everything. BTW, Obama will never get a pass on the "smarts" meter until we see his transcripts. This country has 5 trillion of extra debt under the leadership of a guy who we don't even know which grade he got in his economics class. Now THAT'S an incredibly sad, stupid and embarrassing fact all of America is currently dealing with. -

Romney Is Now A Birther!
1billsfan replied to Duck_dodgers007's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So true. People no longer are buying Obama's 2008 moderate, hope and change story. They don't know what religion he is or if he even believes in any religion. They don't know where he was born. They're not sure where his true political beliefs lye. Why is this the case? Because he has been a fraud. Because he has basically given middle america the finger with his socialist policies. Because he's spent millions hiding his past. The MSM is no longer in control of the dialog in 2012. The kool-aid is wearing off. I read that the movie 2016 is #3 movie in the box office. This is not a birther issue, it's an issue of a president people feel they don't know anything about and who appears to be hiding things. I think Romney's "birther" joke is fair game because it slyly pokes fun at the larger issue which middle america is feeling. The GOP needs to hammer Obama on all fronts and this includes doubts about his deep, under the surface, political beliefs and loyalties. If NBC/Brian Williams can do a one hour expose on the Mormon religion, the same network which ignored Obama's clearly racist and radical Reverend Wright, then it's fair game that the Romney campaign and the conservative media outlets do the same to Obama. This election is too important to hold any punches. Nice guys finish last, just ask John McCain. I hope that Christie hits the MSM hard in his speech because it really needs to be said in front a huge audience of millions of Americans since they were the main reason a complete unknown and unqualified far far left Obama elected. -
I think you're confused. “We Built It” is not the only theme. There's a theme every night of the GOP convention... Tuesday's theme: “We Built It” Wednesday’s theme: “We Can Change It” Thursday's theme: “We Believe in America,” http://www.gopconvention2012.com/news-press/press-releases/ BTW, the "you didn't build that" speech will go down in history as the official "beginning of the end" of Obama's disaster presidency. Which is appropriate since it was his speeches that got this idiot into the office in the first place.

The ‘Nigggerzation’ Of Obama
1billsfan replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This week the Vice President of the United States accused Romney and Ryan of wanting to put black people back in chains…and the President of the United States backed him up. So of course MSNBC feels like they can get away with saying anything about Romney. Two weeks ago, if The Onion had put up a story about Biden saying to a black audience that "they're gonna put y'all back in chains", people would have laughed at the sheer absurdity of that ever happening. It happened. This is what the stink of desperation looks like. They have nothing to run on so just call Romney a wanna be slave owner and hope that they get a great minority turnout. How's that for "hope" and "change"? -
Romney opens 5 point lead over Obama
1billsfan replied to DaveinElma's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Americans are over their Celebrity in Chief. The 2008 election was about one man and one man only, Barack Obama. It's clear that after four years of total failure and disappointment the kool-aid has worn off (except those who are completely delusional), the race card has been worn out and 2012 election is about WE THE PEOPLE. Rush jokes about Obama being the Kim Kardashian president, but it really does seem as if America has had their fill of a celebrity who became wildly successful for doing absolutely nothing except giving soaring speeches. Four years later, it seems a lot of Obama supporters have come to the obvious realization that they were completely hoodwinked. We can thank the celebrity worship culture and the MSM for giving us Obama. As with all celebrities, there's a short shelf life before the worship and adulation turns to general dislike. As it did with Jimmy Carter, America appears ready to dump a failed president and awaken from it's deep recessionary slumber. -
This story makes Biden's "they're gonna put y'all back in chains" comments to a predominantly black audience all the more incendiary. Obama lying and covering for Biden's purposeful racially charged hate speech is sadly predictable at this point. They had better hope and pray there are no black on white hate crimes in VA, because the Romney campaign could very well be within their right to connect the Obama/Biden ticket's hate speech as partially to blame.

Romney opens 5 point lead over Obama
1billsfan replied to DaveinElma's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Very true. I get the feeling that Romney has a solid 3 point lead over Obama across the country which will probably grow to 6-10 points by election day. Nothing scientific, just a feeling judging by rasmussen, figuring in the turnout discrepancy and also figuring in the white reagan dems who are lying to the pollsters because of the fear of being seen as a racist. The MSM did such a number on the people against Obama there is no doubt a small but significant number of people lying to pollsters this time around. -
What do you do when you are put in front of a black audience? First, you dumb down your language so that the "uneducated" can understand you. Think Biden uses "y'all" and "gonna" much outside of Danville? Then you invoke a sick slavery metaphor by telling these people that Romney and Ryan will put you back in chains as a sick scare tactic… http://www.breitbart...Romney-response Same guy who said this about Obama... "you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy" http://www.outsideth...rican-american/ Wow.
