ESPN FUTURE POWER RANKINGS NEXT 3 YEARS BILLS #14
C.Biscuit97 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, you don’t want to hear any point other than Allen is awesome. But to answer (which I did before but you again pretend to not see) 1) has there ever been a qb in recent history that has played against worst college competition and had a least impressive resume than Allen? He should have dominant the MWC. Like player of the year. He didn’t make 1st or 2nd team his last year there. Like at Trey Lance at NDSU. As a sophomore, he had 42 tds and 0 ints while completing 66% of his passes. does that guarantee he will good in the nfl? Absolutely not. But that’s what a top pick qb should do against lesser competition. 2) he did make some improvements. However those improvements took him up to 32nd in completion % and 30th in passing yards per game, that’s not great. 3) I love Allen’s attitude. EJ had a great attitude. JP cleaned up Buffalo. Mitch Tribusky is a really nice guy who has an old car. It doesn’t matter if you can’t play. 4) what starting level nfl qb won’t have gone 10-6 with our schedule and our defense? It was a perfect situation. In fact, we might have underachieved given how many “Easy” games that had. I really do like Allen as a guy and I would love to see him become the man. I’m just being more realistic about the situation. Guys don’t just magically become more accurate at the nfl level. His best skill is running and that will lead to injuries. He needs to win from the pocket. I hope he does and I would love to be surprised by how good he becomes. but he is still the major question mark on this team. -
Typical pro athlete. Instead of focusing on football, he is trying to play another sport. Trade his ungrateful butt.

You need to break down the opponents and their defensive rankings. also, I don’t think Big Ben, Tom Brady until this year, and Aaron Rodgers play in tropical locations with domes. imo, Allen is a total outliner. Again why I’m so skeptical is because there haven’t been many prospects like him. I think he was always been an inconsistent player capable of making some of the best plays I have ever seen, then doing some of the worst. That said, he did a good job limiting turnovers (he needs to hold on to the ball better) so with our defense, it’s a winning formula. I just want to see games where when the defense has an off game, Allen and the offense can win it for us. And not 14-7 or whatever.

NFL will allow social justice decals on helmets
C.Biscuit97 replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Social justice and equal rights makes me so ? ? ?!!! I’m fine with domestic violence and players threatening to shoot up funeral homes. But silent protests and equal rights? That’s where I draw the line. rather than just stop watching and not tell anyone, let me let everyone on this board know I am done watching these garbage nfl (this might change if the Bills are good though). im the opposite of woke. I’m ?. Bring back when America was great in the 1950s. Never saw Johnny Unitas celebrate like that showboater Cam Newton! Do you attack the Trump family, Apple, and hundreds more examples for supporting China??? Or is the nba the new talking point to distract others from the issues going on in our country? -

I just think it’s like a parent who doesn’t want to get told their baby is ugly or arguing with someone that their politics are wrong. Allen is about as risky of a top 10 qb pick as there has ever been taken. And he is in a great situation on our team but it’s not like he’s really light it up. We win with defense holding us in games. Anything less than a top 10 defense, we don’t make the playoffs. they ranked us very high in a bunch of categories. But to non Bills fans, Allen is far and away the biggest question mark of long term success. Like if we have to pay Allen big bucks and have to let a bunch of talent walk (we are in the easy part of the “rebuild” where everyone is cheap), can you see him carrying the team? At this point, it’s hard to see it. But he has probably a top 5 receiving core and a bunch of money/ high picks invested in the o line. If he can’t become a over 60% passer (the definition of average now) and get at least 225 passing/ game, I don’t think he ever will get there. imo, if you really look at the situation, it is great. ESPN basically said even if Allen fails to make it as a franchise guy, it’s a great situation for another guy to set up. It’s also a shame that we don’t have better backup options because it’s over if Matt Barkley needs to play and on this team, that shouldn’t be the case. -
Chad Kelly is Ready to Race!
C.Biscuit97 replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jim Kelly’s backup qb signed him after he was cut after being a 7th rounder by his friend Elway. Chadwick does have some talented but it’s really naive to pretend like he has been given more chances because of Jimbo. I think the stat is he’s been kicked off his high school, college, and pro teams. Impressive. Again, how many guys get more chances than he got, who have proved absolutely zero at the NFL level? -

But it’s all silly to talk about how loaded a team is skill wise when guys who weren’t high picks become really good players. I didn’t like Metcalf for us but loved him for Seattle. He is in the perfect situation with Wilson. Jackson and Andrews came into together and blew up together. Adams isn’t Adams without Rodgers. anyways, Allen has a top group on paper so hopefully the excuses for the highest drafted qb in franchise history are done. -

These guys should all have been 1st picks then. I would argue Rogers made Adams. The Ravens best TE was a 3rd round pick who came in with Jackson. I would argue Jackson deserves a lot of credit for Andrews success. good QBs makes receivers better. I think a better passing qb scores more points on the Bills than we did last year. Do you disagree? -

Dude was given more chances than any human being because of his uncle. -

The Ravens aren’t exactly loaded at receiver either. The Pats were pretty awful. The 49ers have Kittle, a later round pick, and a bunch of non superstars. The Packers had one good receiver. And Wilson has been making good players out of non 1st round guys his whole career. We certainly weren’t a top term talented offense last year but it wasn’t that bad. But hopefully now, there are no excuses. I just want to watch good offense for once. -
Patrick Mahomes challenges Josh Allen to a throw off

I’m so disappointed. With or without, the gerbil though? ? -
Stefon Diggs concerned about football starting back up

I got tenure so I have to do something really bad. Which I can’t fully rule out. But I’m very important. -

Huh? It sounds like a silly little harmless challenge. Dude is in top of the world now. -

Definitely should hand back his MVP and Heisman. How far you can throw the ball is the only thing that matters. Post your picture handsome Rico and let’s judge. By the way you post on here, if you’re not a 6’5” Brad Pitt, I’m going to be disappointed. ? -

Bills fans have watched so much bad offensive football that we might have the lowest expectations in the league. It shouldn’t be a major accomplishment to score 20 points or pass for 200 yards. This is stuff most teams do every week. It has never been easier to be a NFL qb than right now. If this was the 80s, it would different. But I hate to break it to some of you, but a guy who averages less than 200 yards passing and completes 56% of his passes is going to be viewed badly by non Bills fans. -

And I totally disagree with this. If there was some bias against the Bills and small markets, why would be ranked so high in other categories? Some of you (not pointed directly at you) are so protective of Allen. At the most important position, we have a guy who has been a subpar passer since he started playing football. No one questions his physical skills but if he wasn’t a Bill, some of you would see the flaws more clearly like you do in MVP qbs (which is so wild). And the absolutely best part is Allen can prove them all wrong. -

I respect this and I wish more fans were able to do this. Of course, you aren’t going to agree with someone all the time and they will be wrong. IMO, Riddick is the best guy in evaluating talent on TV. Too often, rather than argue the point, it is attack the messenger. -

I can picture it now. ESPN production meetings. You guys wanna get a bunch of clicks in? Let’s good after the teams in NYC, LA, and Chicago! No way, let’s good after the really big market team: Buffalo. Are you serious with this? and Yates and Riddick are two of the best in the entire business at their jobs. They both worked in nfl FOs and give calm, well thought out reasons. Riddick called Mahomes being a star when he was drafted; predicted Goff would rebound under McVay after a terrible rookie year; etc. he is excellent at his job. You couldn’t be more wrong. -

I hate preseason games and how much some fans overrate their importance. But this sucks for the fringe roster guys. -

I agree with you on Mack. This is also why I’m not completely sold on Allen. If you are playing in a smaller conference, I want to see you dominant that conference I f you’re a top 5 pick. Mack definitely did. anyone who tried to pretend that we missed on Beckham is just using hindsight. He had 2300 yards and 12 tds in 3 seasons. Sammy was one of the best college receivers I have ever seen. I also loved Mike Evans because I thought Manziel was garbage. -
Jets, Giants, Rutgers no fans this year
C.Biscuit97 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Strongly disagree. Have you ever played football on a decent level? These guys are constantly competing for jobs and their careers. You go half speed, you’re going to get cut or injured. It’s like UFC. Obviously a crowd helps but it’s still a battle and you can’t go at it half speed.
