  1. I traded down one time with Arizona (who traded down with Oakland) and acquired two additional second round picks. Lots of OL in this mock, but I thought the value in those rounds was too good to pass up. That being said, I don't think the site has the player grades and team needs updated/accurate.
  2. That's exactly what I believe to be the case as well.
  3. I voted for the Jets because they have a ton of cap space this year and next year. They were much better than people expected, even with a lack of overall talent. Sign Cousins and use the high draft picks to load up on talent and build around him.
  4. My sentiments, exactly! I just hope for whoever it is, their quality of life, post football, won't be drastically affected.
  5. John DeFilippo is my top choice followed by Darrell Bevell. I'd really have to research more into Brian Daboll and Matt Canada to form a judgement on them, but I love what DeFilippo has done with Wentz.
  6. I think DeFilippo would be my choice as well. I think he'd bring a far more innovative offense and I love what he's done with Wentz. Bevell would be by my 2nd choice.
  7. I was wrong about letting myself become even a little bit optimistic after a 5-2 start. I knew this team had major deficiencies, but I started to believe in them being serious overachievers. Now they're exactly what I thought they'd be this season.
  8. This team lacks talent throughout the roster. OL, DL, LB & WR all need massive upgrades. It goes without saying that QB is the biggest need, but those other positions are severely lacking as well. That being said, I'm not very optimistic about Dennison's system or the zone blocking scheme that's being used. I think the coaching staff is in desperate need of an upgrade, too.
  9. Wow....this is a crazy mock. Lots of reaches. From what I've read, Davis is a much better tackle than Trent Williams. Bulaga goes that high? Okung falls to 6? Just don't see it happening.
  10. Rd 1 Anthony Davis Rd 2 Jason Pierre-Paul Rd 3 Arthur Jones Rd 4 Dan LeFevour
  11. i'm not using pft to make me feel better, i'm just glad to see another publication kind of respond to the biased bashing that espn lays on us every chance they get. as far as i'm concerned, pft is becoming more credible than espn is. espn has been taking credit for "breaking" news stories even though other publications have reported them long before espn did. i agree that we have to wait to see how fewell adjusts with the new lineup he will be working with as well as mcnally. but, like i said before, it's just nice to have a little bit of a more optimistic outlook from some observers, even if it is from pft.
  12. i wouldn't be surprised at all if the patriots grab leonard with their second first rounder. would be a very dynamic backfield with him and maroney....that being said, i hope we can grab leonard in the third although i think it's highly unlikely. i wouldn't be surprised if we trade back into the first as this seems to be a trend for us. i can see marv making a run at a nice big wr.
  13. i would prefer to be low on the list of teams that espn prefers to ball wash. seems like everyone they glorify seems to crash during the season a la the dallas cowboys. pft is right, sportscenter has become totally unwatchable which really sucks as it's one of the few outlets to watch sports 24/7.
  14. ESPN RIPS THE BILLS We haven't watched many of the "On the Clock" segments that have been aired on SportsCenter over the past few weeks. Primarily because we rarely watch SportsCenter. Primarily because SportsCenter has become unwatchable for anyone older than 15 who has an IQ higher than 16. But we saw Sunday's "On the Clock" feature regarding the Buffalo Bills, and we were shocked at how mercilessly Chris Mortensen, Darren Woodson, and Mel Kiper Jr. trashed the franchise. They focused primarily on the fact that four veterans are now gone -- running back Willis McGahee, linebacker London Fletcher-Baker-Robbins-Oppenheim-and-Taft, cornerback Nate Clements, and linebacker Takeo Spikes. And the trio suggested that the franchise is merely cutting payroll, possibly in advance of a sale of the team. But they completely ignored the fact that the Bills paid big money to defensive end Chris Kelsay and offensive linemen Langston Walker and Derrick Dockery. In our view, the piece was fully out of balance, and we were shocked that none of those three guys presented a more accurate view of the team. First of all, McGahee was moved because McGahee wanted out. Destined to be a free agent in 2008, the Bills got what they could for him now, which was a package including two first-day picks. Though they might have been able to get Clements to take Derrick Dockery money in the fall of 2006, we can't fault the Bills for not getting into the overbidding for Clements in March. He is a solid corner but no Champ Bailey. The Niners clearly overpaid. As to the two linebackers who aren't there anymore, well, they're both on the old side -- and Spikes possibly is on the down side. Getting dissed is fine and dandy for the Bills. It's always better to be among the overlooked NFL franchises, since it's easier to catch the teams that are supposed to be "better" on paper off guard. Depending on whether they can get a top-notch tailback in round one, we think the Bills will be a factor in 2007. Even if the guys at ESPN are ready to write them off. Then again, it was Mel Kiper who suggested prior to the 2001 season that the Patriots could be the first team in NFL history to go 0-16. Mel was only a little bit off in his assessment.
  15. Am I one of the only ones that think Miami is highly overrated? I mean...any team with Bennie Anderson and LJ Shelton on the line can't be all that great. I think I even heard Anderson didn't even make the starting line-up. Not to mention Culpepper is good for about 5 horrible passes/decisions a game, and their defense is more suited for a geriatric center. Call me crazy, but I don't see them as this big power house in the AFC. Granted, they will probably finish with a decent record, but not this 12-4 or the other ridiculous statements I've been hearing. Go Steelers. Never root for Miami!!!!
  16. yes he was in the area. my neighbor works at the Red Coat Inn by the falls. apparently he was having a nice dinner with some friends and family. hopefully she kept the knives off the table.
  17. mike schoop has to be the most pompous, arrogant, hipocritical dip s$!ts i've ever heard talk on the radio. he says one point then 5 minutes later flops over to the other side of the coin. he's constantly talking down to anyone that has a different perspective than him and refuses to listen when he thinks he's right (which i think is hardly ever) and the caller is trying to make a point. i wish they would take this ridiculous show off the air or move howard simon to the afternoons and brad riter to the mornings with jeremy white.
  18. Well said. People seem to ignore the fact that there isn't much of a market out there for running backs right now. TD got a very good deal because it looks like Tennessee will finish towards the bottom of the league again.
  19. Think about what you're saying...you've acknowledged that Willis is much better that Travis and that Willis would beat him out in camp. I don't care who it is on the roster.....if someone better comes along and proves they can do the job much better than the other player, then by all means they should be the one starting. Travis is expendable because of the emergence of #21. I appreciate all that Travis gave out on the field, but truth is, he fumbled too much and was a liability in the passing game as far as receiving and blocking. We're much better off without him!
  20. I like it. We need the size in the middle on running downs to clog the middle and keep the opponents o-line from getting to our linebackers. If the price is right, I would pull the trigger
  21. Have a very merry Christmas Nick and a great New Years as well!!!!
