Salt Lake City newspaper reporting that Florida AD Jeremy Foley flew to Norman, OK Wednesday and offered Stoops 3.5 mil - Oklahoma matched it (and said if the offer was 4 mil they would have matched that) - Foley then flew on to SLC and offered Meyer the job (his plane got their Wednesday before Notre Dames did). Apparently ND offered him 1 mil/yr for seven years - he signed with Florida for 2 mil for 7 years. ND lowballed him - unbelievable....... and just because Foley makes a stop in Norman - Stoops gets a 1.3 mil raise - sweet for him.

Meyer is a lock for the ND job - his dream job - and Willingham will go to Washington.......Florida screwed up not offering Spurrier the Gator job - they thought Meyer would be a lock since the Prez is former BYU..... Now the ole ballcoach is at SC and Florida has to scramble.....Davis - Hawkins - Petrino ??? Stoops is a long shot.....but he could be blowing smoke about staying at OK

I have to agree with you on this one - Mandich is a pompous a##hole - and just awful....

I am hoping that, if McNally is the OL guru he is reported to be - he will also be a great asset in the off-season in identifying players that become available thru FA or later draft picks that will be "sleepers" overlooked by other teams - and know which current players need to go..............

I agree that this a perfect scenario for an upset - I think this game will be very telling as it concerns the ability of our new coaching staff to game plan and what changes they will make in how we utilize our talent to get a win. I like our chances....in spite of this miserable run the last two seasons - we do have the talent to win !!

Glad you made it through OK - we are in Kissimmee and Charlie didn't leave much for Frances here - took another huge Live Oak limb down in the front yard but no further damage to the house - Charlie crushed the gable end of my house over the garage leaving a 10' foot hole in the side which I closed up with plywood. You guys in So. Florida took it on the chin - hang tough.....
