  1. When you haven't played baseball competitively since high school and you go out and hit .202 and even hit 3 homers just 2 levels below Major League Baseball, yeah it's objectively false that he was crappy.
  2. Yeah a dude who yells at his OC and gets dismissed is EXACTLY the kind of guy you want to introduce into this locker room JFC. No he isn't. His bull#### outweighs his middling talent.
  3. If the Jets can block multiple kicks per game and win with 278 yards of offense, sure, they’re a problem. The defense is good but they have a joke of a QB. Whatever is in that New Jersey water is helping both mediocre teams win football games.
  4. https://twitter.com/nflonfox/status/1581791364538372096?s=42&t=YhR8Gvx0Gqaq-g_rcloACw this is too funny
  5. I love Daboll but they averaged 3.8 YPP today and allowed 7.0 YPP. They’re not very good but they play hard.
  6. The jets are a complete joke. Two blocked kicks today and like 110 yards passing and 278 total yards. It’s like when the Trent Edwards teams would start hot.
  7. I was really bummed when Zappe got on the field. I really liked him in college and got to catch him live a couple of times. He's not a franchise guy but he's better than Mac by a decent margin.
  8. It can't. Especially with just blindly adjusting home field as 3 points and not taking into account things like wind and playcall tendencies.
  9. And they’re the one position on offense where getting the player up to speed can be done quickly. Any pick we have after the first will really struggle to make this roster and the Bills may never have another shot with a roster this good around Josh.
  10. Ah yeah I should’ve known better than thinking someone who thinks the best roster in football can’t get better would understand the parallel. Flags fly forever no matter the sport, just like dumbass posts last forever.
  11. This is idiotic. In 2016 the Cubs had BY FAR the best roster in baseball and an elite bullpen though it was the weakest part of their team and a 100 year title drought. Yet they still went out and gave up a bunch of future value to get Aroldis Chapman and lo and behold half their bullpen gets hurt and they absolutely do not win the World Series without him. The Bills clearly have the best roster in the league but their biggest weakness is someone that scares the defense out of the backfield that isn’t Josh Allen. CMC isn’t going to cost a first round pick, and frankly, any pick beyond the first round will struggle to make this roster anyway. And on top of that, you’ll never be giving up as much future value as my example above because the only person with that much impact on the future is Josh Allen and he’s not going anywhere. Standing pat isn’t how titles are won. Normally, it’s hard to install a new offensive player mid season but a running back isn’t going to be difficult at all, it makes waaaay too much sense to push some more chips into the pot.
  12. So this is still where a ton of people get it wrong. HFA is different in every stadium and can even adjust based on the importance of the game. For example, the Bills, by my numbers have an HFA of about 1.22 in a neutral situation, but in a "big" game and the later in the season it gets it's closer to a 4 point adjustment. Part of the reason the Bills only get a 1.22 standard advantage from me is because the offense has been better on the road since the start of 2020, almost entirely because of the weather we see in Buffalo, and also because elite teams tend to have less variance on the road compared to their home games. There are also a myriad of ways people calculate HFA and if you don't adjust for strength of opponent and things like expected points etc. you're going to be off on your number. I love the point from the article that technology has helped mitigate a lot of HFA, because things like travel schedules and sleep have massively changed how teams approach going on the road.
  13. I made this Bills -1.8 and bet the Bills ML -110 on the look ahead line when it was a pick 'em. BOL re-opened at Bills -2/-115. My numbers, of course, expect Edmunds and Poyer back, so this was a pure value grab for me, but damn I hate betting on the Bills.
  14. You watched the whole thing...that's why they paid a billion dollars for it.
  15. Lol no. Only one player on either team would account for a 6 point swing and that is Josh Allen and it would be more like a 7 point swing. It's amazing what people think non QBs are worth to a point spread.
