This is not complicated (nor the reason why Darby was drafted with the first pick)
It was WIDELY speculated that the single biggest thing that has hampered Rex Ryan's defenses (even though they were still great) was lack of quality corner play. This is Rex learning from one job stop to the next........keep a quality STABLE of corners.....keep his defense dominant.

Feel free to describe how that is going to work because the salary cap rules are pretty straightforward. You and the Bills brass can think about it as much as you/they want, but the rules and numbers are the same. Too many fans think there are magical ways around the cap, but ultimately there's only so much a team can do within the rules. Sure there are ways to push off cap hits for players you want to keep, but really can't afford. That eventually comes back around to bite the team though. The only reasonable time to do it is when pushing for a championship and the Bills don't have a QB in place to warrant that course of action.
So you would suggest what?
The whole tired arguement of "but the quarterback doooooooo" is just that....OLD

To me if we have to let one of those players go its Bradham......I hope that he understands the situation and is reasonable with his contract.

Well i guess i will be the first to eat a little crow on a subject that just 2 short years ago i climbed up on my soap box & said a incoming coach on the new staff needed to be run out of town & couldn't for the life of me figure out why they hired him & why the other coach was let go ?
2 short seasons ago i thought the Crossman hire (along with the Marrone hire was a joke) well I'm 1 for 2 any way . But to Crossman i owe a huge apology !
He has taken our ST's unit from #8 to #2 & continued to put them at the top of the league at ST's , which is not only good for us but good for him too !
If he stays at the same ranking as last year that will be fine with me , but it would be great to see them move up one spot to number 1 while the Bills play their way into Super Bowl 50 & bring the trophy home to Buffalo where a championship is long over due !!
This is really hard to say after showing my butt 2 years ago but , keep up the good work Crossman !!

To be fair....Crossmen has been given ribye to work with on ST's not hamburger meat
Just like the defense.......he was given a talented ST's roster and knew what to do with it

One thing is for sure....she will probably think twice about throwing a half hearted punch against some male she does not know.........my advice to her would be get the bartenders attention....I bet this place had some form of security.

That's kinda my point John. Is Rousey allowed to hit a man & not get a consequence? Because you're right, she would probably knock that guy out.
This kid did one of the lowest things possible and he got a very severe consequence. As he should. But this girl threw a punch and got nothing. And I'm guessing it's not her first time doing it.
As a man if you throw a punch, you should be prepared for a punch back. But a woman shouldn't be allowed to assault a man either. If he walks away after she hits him, does she face a consequence? I'm guessing no and that's not right either.
But here is the thing Biscuit.....
You would probably NEVER see Rousey hit someone outside of the gym or the octogon......because she realizes just how much damage she could actually cause and how much trouble she would get into for causing it......
In a way.....Rousey is the QB in this situation.......representing a sport that is popular but violent.......putting the good face forward to the public.
There is a lesson for the blonde girl here though......instead of trying to hit a dude that has you by the wrist......tell the bartenders and let them get security there to take care of it.

So its your contention that the next time someone brushes passed me at a bar to get a drink that raising my fist and escalating the situation is both reasonable and self-defense? Have you ever been in a bar? Have you ever been in public?
Actually.....I am wonder how this did not escalate really quickly in the bar when he punched her like that......

But she punched him. Why is that ok? Because she's a female? If it was a male who punched him & he hit him back, that's cool right? Why is it ok for a female to go around punching people? If she's Ronda Rousey, is it ok?
He made his bed and did something dumb. But she face consequences too. Everyone is going to point to his upbringing. What about a sloppy drunk chick who thinks its ok to punch someone?
Actually....I would have liked to see him do this to Rousey......that would be entertainment.

This was one of the guys that I grew up on as squeaky clean in my mind.....his stand up comedy has no profanity......I REALLY considered him a role model until this all started coming out.
I live (or lived) on the other side of the line where I met a lot of the celebrity types........I always knew that it was a dark world.......a world "underneath" the reality world if you will on a lot of these people......never met Bill Cosby but met several others of his profession.......comediens......actors....singers......athletes etc etc etc
I have met people that later committed suicide.......Robin Williams comes to mind
Industry people that I and my daughter have met have been doing a lot of bad crap
Mr. Gello Pudding Pop is a fricken evil evil man..........
Im am REALLY glad that I tought my kids not to look up to these people as role models......but still......

The other thing that I think when i see this stuff is the family of the football player......
I dont know the answer to this....but is this one of those kids that the family sacrificed a ton so that their son would have the opportunity to get a first rate education (and possibly play in the NFL) only to have something like this happen and have all if THEIR hard work go down the drain?
These kids do not do this on their own.....they have help along the way from family and friends to get them there.
There are a lot of kids that would love to be in his position.......who never got the chance for one reason or another........that scholarship he got was just wasted on a kid that WOULD have walked away.
What a waste.

This is the problem I have with student athletes and I dont care if it is male or female.....you are in a privilaged position to be getting a first rate education because you are athletic and are good at a sport....when you walk around you are representing your school whether you like it or not....frankly you are a embassidor of your team. You have to walk away from a situation like this......that girl was NO THREAT to you and was lucky she wasnt hitting herself in the face she looked so drunk.
You have to walk away.....he didnt and he is suffering the results of it.

The thing that really stuck out to me in that read is that we have one of the most important things needed in order to biuld a winning team
synergy between the head coach and the GM
Rex Ryan knows how to win football games.....he has demonstrated that by getting to two AFC title games

Rex Ryan has also shown us what happens when HC and upper management are not on the same page.....it dont work
What you now have in buffalo is a coach who knows what he needs......and a GM that agrees with him on what he needs....AND a owner who is willing to get them what they need
