It's not his fault that he has the spine of a Frenchman ;)

You know.....it is one of my bad dreams that someday I come onto the wall and there is a multi page thread of folks saying how much I suck..... :w00t:

Then it is followed by even more pages of folks doing nothing but....

That is why I am not going to pile on to Rudy.....but come on Rudy.....why all the negativity....dont you know the bills are going to make the playoffs this year...

  2. Well.....I have a very optomistic outlook on this....(but is that any big suprise?)

    - What we have to remember is that we haven't even seen our starting offensive line on the field at the same time yet in preseason.....I feel very good about them once they DO get on the field together:

Jennings....when health Jennings just might be a pro bowler....he has his best games against the best competition.....

Lawrence Smith....first of all..LS is a feel good story as far as I am concerned...he worked his butt off and finally got a starting spot...good for him....BUT I also think it says that the bills may have a problem in their scouting department on offensive linemen.....you can pick up starting left guards in rounds 3,4, and 5 and we were trying to make it through with Pucillo.....who I honest think that in my old, decrepid, and out of shape self could STILL bullrush into the QB.....L. Smith will at least hold his ground.....he is a bandaid for the moment and that is good enough

Tre Teague has been impressing me....he got stronger without giving up quickness......he is doing much better

I think Villyman is way underappreciated by some and by the end of the year will be considered one of our best guards to come along in some time.

Big Mike is getting better by the game....he put in a solid performance in the last preseason game and he is only going to get better....

We will be alright.....we just need to get our starters back on the field.....

  3. First to get it out of the way....regarding the injuries:

    - I feel bad for Travis Brown as he was having his best NFL camp....I actually dont think the hit was intended to take him out when I go back and look at it it almost seems to me that Bills OLmen had his forward momentum going towards T. Brown. I hope he can make it back....but if he CANNOT make it back please DO NOT bring back Doug Flutie....why do you ask? Because if you ask my Doug Flutie is the type of player that will band aid this offense and have the OL thinking they are getting better when they really are not.....you can also forget about a running game as teams will put in the "Flutie Offense".....just get experienced veteran guy like Odonnel to back up Drew Bledsoe.....Bledsoe is so fricken durable anyway he isn't going to get a lot of time.....JP Losman will be back before the season is over.......

    - Regarding Lawyer Milloy.....I like Lawyer but I actually feel we are not going to be hurt hear as bad as some think if Milloy doesn't make it back until after the bye....why? Because the fact is Coy Wire is a fricken SS...not a FS.....and I actually think he can excel in that SS position....but that is just my opinion....

    Now for some thoughts.....

    - Drew definately is playing better then last year......simple as that....we have not been scoring touchdowns but they will come....

    - If you ask me I think the bills are keeping Lee Evans as a their very own secret weapon......just watch as opening day Drew Bledsoe throws a bomb to Evans.....

    - I have to say that Tre Teague has been playing much better then many including myself have given him credit for......Mike Williams is getting better by the day and why in the world is Sullivan starting over Marcus Price.....is he still hurt? Basically I think that when the O Line gets healthy.....you are going to see this team much improved......

    - Magehee is going to be one of those backs who is going to get stronger as things move allong....Shawd WIlliams should def be the 3rd guy......oh and one other thing....this team had better not let Luke Lawton go....I have a feeling about that kid

    - We have a fine group of young corners

    - This game would have been much closer had it not been for all the fumbles.....and considering that the colts went deep into last years playoffs.....it was a good barometer (while the starters vs the starters were in)

  4. what else was interesting was that SG said that the entire offense wanted Les Steckle to be handed the reigns to the offense midway through the season.  They clammored for this.  They thought they could go to the playoffs with Steckle calling the plays.

He also said that the offensive players knew there were BIG problems coming after game 4 or 5!!!  Thats after the two big wins in weeks 1 & 2, which he said was just alot of smoke and mirrors.

Most of us were saying the same thing last year and did not even have the benefit of this insight.  How could GW drop the ball on such and obvious decision.  He HAD to know he was putting his job in jeopardy.  Maybe he just didn't enjoy being here?

I can remember back to when I was praying Gilbride would get fired ans Steckle put in as interum OC.......

At lease we would have ran the ball more....and Bledsoe wouldn't have taken multiple concussions.....

  5. really such a good listen , Gash is just so straight forward and real.  One he did say was that he really did like coach Williams, that Williams was a very good man that he did lose the team around game eight when they didnt change Gilbride, if he had of Sam feels Williams would still be here..

There is another thing to consider here.......

Given what happened last year...this team should have done much WORSE then it did......something was holding this team together when it should have fell apart at the seams.....remember....we were still in it until the 3/4 part of the season despite a pretty tough schedule......

I think it says a lot about the players that are here....and I think it might say something about one of the greatest turnarounds of all time for a team this year....

This team is going to make the playoffs.....
