1. No if your expecting average performance your going to be dissapointed.    R gallery is the real deal and I don't care where he has played on Ol, he has looked great.        IF I was the coach this would be my oline.    LT B sims , LG F Middleton c J Grove  RG Langston Walker 6'8 350  and Rt Robert gallery 6'7 325-330.  Both Langston Walker and Gallery are very athlethic and terrifi9c spped for guys that size.

    34549

He might be a stud but he is STILL just a rookie making his first NFL start.....

He is going to make mistakes just like every rookie does.....

The good news for him is that Denny starts this game instead of Kelsay.....who really should be the perm starter

  2. Oh for Christ sake.....

Please forgive the shouting but WE ARE DOING WHAT WE SAID WE NEEDED TO DO IN THE OFFSEASON WHICH IS RUN THE BALL, GET THE BALL OUT QUICKER, RUN THE BALL, MAKE BLEDSOE A FACILITATOR, AND RUN THE BALL......

And now we are going to fricken bicker and B word because Bledsoe DID WHAT HE WAS TOLD.....

    - People say he cannot throw a screen pass but he did

    - Bledsoe was hitting people on the numbers...is it HIS fault they were dropping it.....

    - Drew was getting the ball out quick.....well lets look for something ELSE TO B word ABOUT....

This is just stupid...and is starting to wear on me.....

  3. Your already seeing some of it.....as you can probably tell I am a laker fan.....

    - First of all....let me say that regardless of all this other mess.....I dont approve of Kobes adultery....but let me also say that a lot of people live in a dream world where they think their sports hero's dont do this stuff....Michael Jordon who who will probably be the NBA icon forever....is widely known for for his exploits in this area.....that list stretches over every professional sport....to include our beloved bills.....

But we are talking about adultery here.....I know it is hard for some here to separate their personal feelings from that issue when they look at this case.....we are talking about a sexual assault accusation that carries a prison sentence and a lifelong "R" mark on your forehead.....is Kobe a jerk for betraying his wife and daughter (absolutely but no more then any other of the multitude of celebrities that do this) should a man go to jail for adultery? It is also well known amongst the fans that follow the team that Kobe and his Wife have been on the verge of divorce for a while.......that is not an excuse for adultery but this is the type of stuff that happens.

Now to the issue at hand....the rape accusation. There are 2 big problems I have had with this case from the beginning:

    - First....the unethical, improper, and illegal methods of law enforcement when they went about gathering evidence for this case (transcripts available for this at Court TV.com you will need to search through them) in my opinion they rushed to judgement waaaay to quickly and should have done some forensic tests BEFORE arresting Kobe Bryant. Had they done that they could see that the forensics DID NOT SUPPORT THEIR CASE (which by the way totally takes this out of the "OJ" scenario you stated) instead now they are in hot water already because they now sit on the forensic evidence and refuse to let the defense test it for MONTHS....until finally ordered by the judge to do so or be sanctioned (the threatening of sanctions against the prosecution happened all the way through this case because of their own mistakes and just flat out refusing to come forth with things as they were supposed to)

    - In the preliminary trial of this case.....in what what probably has the most "pro alleged victim" laws in the country....you had a prelim judge basically telling the prosecution that they case was WEAK and that he binds it over for trial only because "he must rule in a light most favorable to the prosecution"....translation.....SHE POINTED AT HIM AND SAID THE BIG BAD MAN DID IT. That is ALL THAT IS NEEDED in order to bind a rape case over for trial.

    - Except for my Wife and my daughter (who thank god is not old enough to have to worry about this stuff yet) I could care less how a female conducts herself. Being a former athlete myself I have had my share of "encounters" with women who I could have cared what their last name was. I wouldn't think badly of them for it but definately not "bring home to mom" material......this young woman has presented herslef in that light. What can be asertained from her testimony (which keeps fricken changing) his testimony, and witnesses at the Cordella that fateful day and night that these two WERE flirting in plain view of onlookers, she did in fact take him for a tour of the facility, and she did in fact go up to his room that night, she did agree to concential kissing, hugging, and other things (which kept changing) which eventually led into the unknown because they were the only two in the room.....but....a man is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GIULTY....so cannot just automatically beleive her story whether she be a saint or hoe......it then falls back on the credibility of the two and she doesn't win that area either.......

I could go on and on with this but hey ....INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GIULTY.....and keep in mind that the way the prosecution wanted this case.....any woman at any time can point a finger and claim rape....waht happens when they are lying and it is a guy who CANT afford a good defense?

  4. The Raiders are going to blitz, blitz, and blitz.....

If we can make the short game work (they actually didn't do a bad job of it except for not scoring a ton of points and hanging onto the ball) then we have a good game plan to go against the Raiders....

But we have to score when we get the opportunity to do so......

  5. Umm John, thanks for the advice, but I HAVE read more than the headlines.  I've just seen fit to blow off most of the orchestrated smear campaign the defense has put out.

But if you would like to cite specific examples of where my FACTS are incorrect, by all means do so.  I suspect that all you will be able to do is to cite examples where peoples' opinions and hearsyay are being thrown around derived from reliable sources to remain anonymous.

    35355

Well.....since you are showing obvious bias in the case....

Fact.....the case was dropped and therefore Kobe is CONSIDERED NOT GUILTY

Now.....we can delve deeper then that if you like.....but that FACT is undeniable

  6. And you know this how? Bottom line: The proceeding never would have gone this far if they didn't have the evidence. Kobe is lucky as hell that this didn't go to trial and that he could afford to have such a well orchestrated smear campaign against the girl.

    34948

As with Buffalo Bob.....you should get more information so you can make a informative post.....not slammin you but you are waaaay off base......

  7. I completely disagree.  If you want to know why, read my post above.  You have bought into the defense attorneys' strategy.  Make the girl look like a nut case, a whore and that she is really out for money.  It's very interesting how all of these little defense theories got released to the public accidentally.

Just as plausible is that she just couldn't take the pressure and being dragged through the mud of her sexual psychological past by a very well-paid defense team.  Just because she decided to drop the criminal trial for the civil trial does not mean that was her plan all along, although that is what Kobi and his defense team want you to think.

I think it came to a point where she felt that was the only way she was going to get justice.  I think Kobi was lucky (or perhaps smart) in choosing his victim.

    34572

Read more then just the headlines Buffalo Bob......there is a lot more to this story then just its cover.....

And yes...I have been following this case since its outset.....

  8. Kelsay, "well above average"!?!?!?    Where does that come from?  He has played one game as a starter and only barely beat out a guy who is considered to be a major bust.  He had a decidedly average performance against the Jags whose offense is appallingly bad.  I have high hopes for Kelasay but for now, he is, at best, barely adequate.

    34050

In Kelsay's defense....the line for the Jags is very good.....one of the best we are going to see all season.....

  9. "Travis was stringing together brain farts on Sunday, first he misses a screen call by going to the wrong side of the field and on the very next play he blows his blocking assignment by letting hi8s man straight through and getting his body between Jonas and his man. Maybe the fact that he gets knocked on his butt will help him to overcome the same mistake in the future"

This has been a problem with Travis the last two years and he hasn't improved. IMO is one of the reasons why W. M. was drafted. Travis runs very hard and picks up a lot of yardage but it is a lot of little things that he doesn't do. He blanks out on play assignments and does not pick up blitzes at all. Willis is excelent at picking up blitzes and has better hands etc. I wonder if all of this is the real reason why Travis did not practice yesterday and was not listed at all on an injury report. Also in the 4 th quarter he did not play. You talknig about a guy who played last year with a broken leg and ribs ! Do you really think an ankle sprain- not listed on an injury report would keep him out in a 4 qt of a  tight game???

There is a rumble comming very soon I think!!!!!

    33827

That is my feeling on this as well.....Travis is a warrior no doubt who delivers punishment and runs hard every play....his conditioning is never in question

But as much bashing I see on Tom Donahoe I am starting to see things possibly in the way he was thinking:

    - Because of of Travis Henry's "I'm gonna run you over" mentality on every play I dont think he has a long shelf life in the NFL......he simply takes too many big hits on his small stubby (but all muscule) body.....on the other hand Willis Maghee has a much better biuld for the NFL pounding and even he doesn't always take everyone head on.....I loved the way he was squirting through holes in the last game and he is only going to get better.......

    - Blitz pickup.....once again for Henry everything is head on while WM does it correctly and gets his guy on the ground so he cannot bat the pass down or get into a passing lane.....but the other aspect here is you see Henry just not being in the right position all the time...WM seems to have a knack for it

    - Receiving outlet.....WM has "natural hands" while Travis doesn't...the other aspect here is that Henry is so short that he makes a difficult passing target I think....while WM is big and easier to locate

    - And of course there is the fumbling issue....Travis is still putting it on the carpet.....WM has fumbled one so far..........

  10. I know neither guy (Schobel or Kelsay) is a "superstar" on their own, but both are WELL above average. (well, Schobel has proven it, and Kelsay - from preseason and week one seems to be as well). I dont know of any team where BOTH DE's have the potential of more than 10 sacks each. I would love to see that, & I think Schobel can rack up 15 this year!  I think with Denny fading away, this DE corp is one to be fearful of.  (doesn't hurt when you have an awesome LB group right behind them!)

    33474

While it is not totally accurate....DE's are measured on Sacks...

Until Kelsay starts getting some....I wont list him

  11. The first thing I would need to do is keep my wife from bodyslamming (former GLOW wrestler) this woman through a window.......so parent teacher is probably out of the question......

I would go to the principle immediately and first ask nicely.....if he says know then I would threaten a law suit against the school district for mental abuse by this a hole teacher

But...in the back of my mind I would probably really enjoy the 1st option.......watching my wife get physical gets me hot.....

These things can be a pain in the but.......my 8 year old daughter was getting picked on and even slapped once by this group of girls in her class last year.....after school was over we decided to let her join into a karate class (mostly because she loves dance and those classes are really expensive...the Karate was much cheaper)

She took to it immediately and very quickly the teacher of the class had taken her under his wing......well about a week ago those same girls caught up to my daughter on the playground thinking it was open season again. My wife gets a call from the office and sure enough my daughter had kicked one of the girls in the stomach and she started cryin.....the school was actually mad at MY daughter even though she was defending herself against 3 girls......

Needless to say I went right to the mat for her with the principal....."where was all this concern when my girl was getting slapped around last year?....it isn't like we didn't report it"

The principal asked me to have a talk with my daughter.....I told her I definately would....the next time make sure to go for the face instead of the gut so they can have a shining reminder of why you should bully other people.......

To the principal..... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

  12. I think your underestimating Raiders Oline. It is pretty good now (should be really good later on)especially if R gallery is starting somewhere.  I think Raiders Oline should give gannon plenty time to throw especially at Home.

Raiders do have three pretty solid Cbs in C woodson, P Buchanon and D Walker who did a fine job limiting Steelers trio of H ward, P Burress and Randle EL.  Thats another great matchup.

Raiders defense isn't there yet(still trying to get use to alot of new players on defense) but  with the return of Napoleon harris should be a very tough defense to exploit.

I think Norv going to try and really spread out the  Bills defense  and take advantage of  all the speed he has at Wr. I look for Tes to be used alot.

    31416

    A couple of items:

    - I am actually quite glad we are catching the Raiders O Line before they have had a chance to really gel......Sam Adams and Pat Williams are quite good and experienced........our DE's are undersized but quick and we have a strong set of linebackers......they did a solid job on the Jags who have a pretty good O Line (and fred taylor)

    - I look for the bills to run a lot of misdirection plays because Big Ted is going to drop the anchor on runs up the middle.....but he has lost a lot of quickness and that gets him in trouble when he goes the wrong direction

    - This is going to be a good test for both clubs......it isn't easy to go into the black hole and win......

  13. First of all, he is mobile. If you ever watched Pitt then you see the QB on the move with bootlegs and rollouts. JP of course, can provide that.

JP will also cover up the O-lines inability to pass protect. He is a threat that the "D" cannot ignore and if they put a spy on him that opens up the passing game to which JP is capable of  doing, because of his strong arm and quick release.

MM likes to run trick plays. Which QB of the two has the athletic ability to pull it off?

JP is a rookie, so he doesn't have old habits that are hard to break. Did you ever hear that saying " You can't teach an old dog new tricks ". JP doesn't apply to that, but Drew does.

I definitely think JP will put up more points for Buffalo.

    31074

    Christ....when will people get it....

I DONT WANT A QB THAT MASKS THE OL INABILITY TO PROTECT....I WANT A OL THAT WILL FRICKEN PROTECT CONSISTANTLY.....why do you want a fricken bandaid? Look at the recent super bowl winners.....their QB's could catch Z's behind their line and not get touched.....while guys like McNabb dont get there every year because the team relies too much on their scrambling.....

I love the way JP can move around........but if you dont have the horses working well up front then in the end it doesnt AMOUNT TO JACK SQUAT

  14. I am not knocking anybody here who rents....I did it for years....

But I have to say in your case that you have neighbors who appear to be in the "budge an inch take a mile philosophy" they are taking over property that is rightfully yours because you have not said anything in the past about it....

I have had neighbors like that in the past.....I wanted to plant a flower bed to create an edge to my property and make it look nicer...they bitched about it....I called their land lord who didn't want to get involved as long as people were not getting shot at his rental it seems.....

So I went down to city hall....found out just where my property lines were and as it turns out my property line went MUCH further then I originally wanted to go...right into what they definately considered their yard.....I made a copy of it....gave it to the tenets and landlord....put up a solid 6' fence exactly where i entended to...and biult my flower bed....

Not a peep from anybody either....who probably considered themselves lucky I didn't take even more space.......

I have cool neighbors next to me currently......(different house) once again my property line cuts into them....but they are cool and so we worked it out....we spit the cost for a good quality fence between us and they have been nice enough to put up with contractors going back and forth between us to work on my back yard........

  15. He's not worth the loot. I'd rather trade the guy for a 1st round pick or two. Use that money on a dominant center or tackle, like Orlando Pace. There are a couple of FA lineman available next year and I believe they will fill more of a need than TKO.

    31037

:P:D:D :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

  16. Here's a problem that seems to be overlooked.

A non-contender on a 9 game road losing streak comes into Buffalo and holds the home team to 10 pts. The 10 pts came basically from defensive turnovers nontheless.

A lot of comments I have read seem to conclude that Bledsoe was not that bad. The fact is that the gameplan was devised to disguise his various weaknesses. The coaches planned everything possible to protect him.

Only an ultra conservative passing plan can keep him from self destructing from sacks and interceptions. Hence, very few if any deep passes, and not coincidentally, few points. The defensive coordinators around the league know what the Bills plan to do. It's like the Bills offense has one hand tied behind their back. Mularkey even said it himself that at one point the Jags had all 11 men within 2 yds from the line of scrimmage. (ie no respect for Bledsoe)

Basically the Bills offense has two obstacles: the opposing defense and its own limited and ineffective QB.

Any running game can be controlled when your QB is not capable of punishing the defense. The ineffective QB is at the root of the Bills problems. Ther are few gameplans or coaches that can salvage an offense which has such a fundamental flaw. Bledsoe's last coordinator in NE couldn't salvage Bledsoe, but he seems to be doing OK with Brady. Maybe the fundamental problem is Bledsoe and not the coaches, the gameplan, the OL,etc.

    30986

I think there is a flip side to that arguement.....

    - I dont think we are covering up Drews weaknesses as much as we are the O Lines and trying to biuld their confidence........

    - I think that the short game IS NOT Drews strong suit while deep balls are his strength (or has everybody seem to have forgotten that) so the offense was not set up to take advantage of Drews tools either......

But I think that will change as time goes on......

  17. Tuesday Morning Quarterback

The tastefully named Gregg Easterbrook had 3 gripes about the Bills in his column this week, and I can't argue with any of them.

    1. Sour Play of the week: Clements failure to KNOCK THE BALL DOWN rather than going for an interception on the 4th and 14 play with less than 2 minutes left.

    2. Calling for a pass play on 3rd and 1 from the 1 yard line.

    3. Punting on 4th down at the J'ville 33 instead of going for a field goal.

    30982

With the exception of the Clements play.....I disagree with both....

    - We had just attempted 2 plays for no gain and we were putting the ball on the turf all over the place.......I have no problem with a quick pass after attempting to run it twice in a row..........

    - Our defense kicked their ass all day long......our field goal kicker had missed a fairly easy one in the swirling Ralph Stadium winds......and the jags were fighting the lock now as well......I thought it was the right call with the lead in a defensive battle......

Had we just been able to stop them on a FOURTH AND FRICKEN FOURTEEN none of this would be an issue........

  18. Here's what I know about football. Bledsoe is a loser. His team lost and he did nothing to give them the spark for victory. Leftwich did. Plummer did. Brees did. McNabb did. etc. Bledsoe never produces the goods. If everything goes well for him he may not lose the game for you. If any little obstacle comes up he has many ways to lose the game for you.

When was the last time you said, "Wow, thanks to Bledsoe, we pulled out the game?"

They say it all around the league, but never in Buffalo. You Bledsoe apologists are sickening.

What was it yesterday? Bad weather? Kevin Gilbride? A rookie coaching staff? Bad karma? There's always an excuse!!!!!!

Moving the ball between the 20's is great for the stats, moving the ball from the red zone to the end zone creates victories. Bledsoe comes up short time after time. He has done it his whole career. When will he finally get it?

    30195

Yeah I guess he IS to blame for those red zone fumbles huh?..... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
