1. I loved his Tora Bora comment. It was right on, IMO.

Bush and the DOD !@#$ed up BIG TIME on that deal and believe me, there is no MMQBing here. As soon as I saw on CNN that we had Osama surrounded with those rag-tag fighters guarding the North and West flanks, me and everyone with half a brain knew Osama would slide those fellas a few bucks and get out that way.

    Hey Frankenberry,

Please allow me to explain something that you may or may not know about that portion of history.....

I dont know if you remember but we were getting reports of American forces being killed by sniper fire, trap bombs, etc etc as they were moving through this area attempting to locate bin ladin.....

The US military was using people in the region...that NAVIGATE the region on a regular basis to show both cooperation between us and those who would run that country and to AVOID losing american lives (in some of those areas you cannot get equipment into.....troops were riding on horseback for christ sake

    Do you understand?

  2. no, i think he is holding out on his contract with TBD... he is not happy with some of the free agent pickups.

    52700

I think the turk is fixing to cut a couple of them.....hopefully now we can get LA back in camp and he will agree to terms.......

  3. No, s-hit, Sherlock. But the Jags were not dominant either, which is what you were saying earlier.

Geezus, I need a fuggin' Pats fan pointing that out to me on a Bills board like I need a another assssshole.

    52615

    Hey Paco.....

Will you please stop feeding this damn bird....we are getting bird stevejanosan all over our board.....

If you know what I mean......

  4. good, then you better expect more bills bashers here with that attitude.

    52521

    Ohhhhh.....a threat...

Look moron....the only reason why you are here is because the powers that be ALLOW you to be here......it is a private board...

But hey...bring em on over....maybe that will finally be the last straw that forces administration to kick pats fans out that bring their high and mighty smug attitude.....and yes that is exactly what it is regardless of how you cloak it and you dont even do it that well.....

  5. I came here for a good discussion about the game.  Some Bills fans are here for good discussion, others can't stand Pats fans being here and go out of their way to try to get us banned.  Give me a break.  There is another word for that - TROLLING.

You want to discuss the game. fine. lets do it.  Otherwise keep your "lets bash the pats fan we dont want him here" isolationist comments to yourself.

    52484

I'll say anything I want.....Im on a bills board as a bills fan....

and there is not a THING you can do about it so..... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

  6. <--- No myopia with this sig.

Some Bills fans wonder why some Pats fan's troll.  Try not being an ass.  Keep rude comments to oneself and maybe there wont be problems.

    52468

:I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Pure and simple.....SDS....why are these Pats fans allowed to roll over this board with no problems.....

On a patriots board if this was attempted....we would be bounced

  7. Did even one person in this thread answer your question? It does not look like it to me. Mainly just more hate speak and stupid rhetoric.

I have no problem saying where I stand. We were right to invade iraq because I have zero doubt in my mind that they were part of the terrorist network around the world. In whatever capacity, they were involved, and SH left to his own accord, would welcome the oppertunty to provide WMD to those who hate us.

Also do not forget that almost on a daily basis, SH was shooting at our pilots in the no fly zone. To me that in and of itself is a reason to kick thier ass. We should never put up with anyone directly attacking our troops. We should have stated this war on terror back when they attacked us the first time.

So my position is at least clear. Not some whimpy "I hate someone so everything they do must be bad" stance.

    48456

People just so conviently forget the atmosphere back then dont they:

    - SH was shooting at our planes......

    - He was screwing around with weapons inspectors.....the way he was acting made him look guilty as hell

  8. James, if it turns out that Kerry was wrong in every case and that Bush's corrections were accurate, it will be a story with legs.  Kerry won the eloquence war, but if people learn to equate his eloquence with falsehoods he will lose credibility in future debates.  I can tell you that since I posted this topic, it is just getting worse.  Tommy Franks is on now contesting more things that Kerry said as infactual.

Who would have ever thought that Bush would win the debate over who has the best handle on the issues?  That may now be the case.  I knew his policies would resonate better, but my gosh Kerry is supposed to be a walking, talking library.  The guy was wrong way too many times.  Again, I'm still waiting to hear about the Iran sanctions and non-proliferation funding.  If these go Bush, it is a serious embarassment for Kerry.

    51741

BINGO....the reason why Kerry sounded good is because he seemed to be prepared with all these "facts" to back up his arguements.....if they turn out to be lies then Kerry is nothing but a big phony while Bush stuck to what he knew....give me a "says what he knows" leader over a spin doctor any day....

By the way.....another "fact" Kerry tried to throw out there was that our soldiers in Iraq were trying to go on the internet to purchas their own body armor because it wasn't being supplied to them by their country. I was listening to the Laura Ingram show this morning and a parent of a soldier called in and explained the situation.....their son was in fact given his body armor the question came about because the distributers who make it for the military were not producing it fast enough......so they did some checking on the internet but never had to buy it.....

Does the Kerry campaign expect Bush to go the plant and help churn some out for them?

  9. Actually, they didn't shut down the subway in new york at all. look it up.

    52159

And you hit the nail on the head of Kerry's speech.....

The problem I had with it was that he was flat out LYING through most of it.....as I sit there and I watch Bush's expressions I cannot help but think what is going through his mind.....WHY IS KERRY MAKING UP THE stevestojan

I mean....it sounded good...but it wasn't true....I was waiting for Bush to call him on the carpent about some of it....but he never did.

  10. If the Bush voters on this board say that no one won the debate, then that means to me that Kerry won.

Glad to see that someone FINALLY cracked that faux, folksy, keep it simple personality, and let the REAL Bush personality show through. Ahh, I can have a great weekend now  :D

Flame me all you want, Bushies. I am off to the beach for the weekend. CYA  :)

Keep the battle going... don't let the sheer numbers of Bushies on this board get you down, fellow Anti-GWBers :) :)

    52015

I definately thought Kerry was the better speaker.....

Doesn't mean I would want him making decisions for the country though.....

  11. To me it looked like Bush WAS the one that "saw the big picture"

Kerry presented himself a lot better......but Bush's subtance wins over Kerrys style in my opinion

It is easy to sit there and criticize the man actually doing the job.....doing the job is another matter altogether.....

Kerry was making promises he cant keep.........

  12. Touche. I did the college thing b/c my knees wouldn't last 10 minutes in Basic Training.

My brothers have, tho. And they both say that while the Iraqis and other -istan country's denizens aren't the brightest bulbs in the bunch, it's a combo of training and OTJE. You need to put asses on the street, just like on the football field.

    51772

Speaking as someone who HAS seen it done.....you cannot just put "bodies" out there untrained.....

Unless you plan on putting more bodybags to go with them.......

  13. If you are a Democrat, you may have seen an angry Bush. What I saw was a Bush who seemed to be thinking "This backwoods moron is so full of crap and has no idea what we're up against as a country. And he still has people who listen to him."

    51753

Yeah.....that was what I was thinking as well Paco....

I mean....I will admit Kerry talks a good game....but I couldn't help but feel that was full of stevestojan most of the time.....

I dont know man....there is just something about him.....

  14. I predict a very low scoring game.....but in this one the coaching staff is smart enough to platoon their backs....keeping them both fresh....we grind it out on the ground with an occasional pass....

And the game ends with Brady coughing up the ball after Sam Adams gives him a "hug".....resulting in a defensive TD.....

TBD will rejoice.....and Stevejanosan and DC Tom will become buddies

  15. I just don't get it......

Rather than watching what is a big decision for our country, A decision that will effect everyday life in America you need to/want to watch a reality show?

I work all day long why in Fvckin god's name would I go home to watch people compete for a job? Isn't that what we do all day long?

    51176

Because they are going to keep reairing it all night....

But hey......the bikini shows....now...that is important stuff.....

  16. Dude... I respect where you're coming from on this... I really do.  However, I've got to tell you... Drew is the problem and JP is the cure.  I'm telling you now that if Drew is at QB, you may as well as give up on the season.  Defensive coordinators around the league know Drew's game and how to defend him.  The margin for error for every player on offense while Drew is at QB is "nil" because he can't improv nor make quick and correct decisions.  Continuing to play Bledsoe is going to literally cut the heart out of the players around him, if it hasn't already.

Now, onto JP.  The kid is basically Fltuie with size and an arm.  His comments re: the coach saying we're good and JP saying essentially, "yeah, right, we're good when we start playing good"... shows me that this kid is ready and wants to take this team on his shoulders.  His infusion of enthusiasm, bravado, ability to improv will be infectious to this offense.  The players around him will begin to have a bounce in their step, a swagger, an aura of confidence, and will reflect his personality.  The defense will take a few more chances as well knowing that the offense can carry it's share of the load... and special teams will begin to get better.... and maybe even Lindell.

Believe me, JP will take the Bills farther than will Drew will... and this year.  There are bumps in the road, of course.  If Mularkey ain't willing to take the risk then he doesn't deserve to be a coach in this league.  Tough and brazen decisions begin with the coach.... and who would have thought that a guy named Tom Brady, just going into his 2nd season as a pro would unseat Bledsoe as a starter, let alone take them to the SB?

    50744

    DeeRay...

No....JPL is NOT Flutie with better abilities.....why? E.X.P.E.R.I.E.N.C.E.......

WHen JPL comes in and throws 3 picks in a game will you fall off the wagon as quickly as you hopped on?

    The facts are this:

    - JPL is not healthy yet....so the whole conversation is moot

    - JPL should be FULLY recovered before he even sees the field

    - JPL when he does come on will make big plays....he will also be the cause of big plays against us while he learns......

I have no problem with JPL being on the field this year under the right situations....mop up duty.....or if Drew B. gets hurt.....

  17. McKinnie gave up 11 sacks last year, Williams 9.  Who outplayed who last year?  Jennings, a 3rd round pick gave up 2 or 3.

If you compare Pace's first two seasons with Williams, Williams gave up 2 more sacks than Pace.

If McKinnie was drafted by the Bills, he would have been a RT too, especially since he decided to hold out half of his first year.  Jennings would have had the LT spot nailed down, and McKinnie's play would have kept him at RT.

The problems with the OL has been inexperience, changing positions, offensive scheme and gameplan, and the loss of Larry Centers, who was able to get Bledsoe out of a jam.

Then again, I don't have the apparent mind reading skills of Peter King.

    50929

The problem I have with the whole thing is we aren't talking about a mid first round pick or even a end of the first round pick...

We are talking about the FOURTH OVERALL PICK.....even when this guy is out of shape....and green he should be just knocking people off the ball from sheer talent.......

Then you see guys like Mike Pearson doing so well for the jags....oh man....I did like Mike Pearson

  18. As an offensive linemen Mike Williams isnt going to get any love from me till he gets his head screwed on right.....

There are OL out there that would give their left "whatever....take your pick" to be able to play ONE SEASON in the greatest sports stage in the world.....

Mike Williams should have been getting his body ready to go even if his mental being was not there do to his problems......

Christ...I really dont understand it....I go to the gym to WORK OFF the frustrations of my life so they dont consume me....what is so fricken difficult about that......

    Get it together Mike.....

  19. I think this is a problem in the making. Most of your better offensive tackles are guys ranging in size from 300-315, guys who have speed to handle speed rushers and blitzing lb's coming off the edges, and have quick feet to maintain their balance and bounce back and forth keeping their blocking responsibility in front of them.  If this is our future starting LT and we let Jonas Jennings walk, our oline is billsfanone.  This guy like Mike williams is big and fat, with marginal foot speed. The bills need to stop putting guys who are better off playing guard at tackle.

    50043

Is this meant as a sarcasm post?

Peters "average foot speed" at Tight End would probably make him the most agile tackle in the nfl?

That is of course....just my opinion
