  1. I like the kid like most but the best he will be is a very good nickle back who also is a good kick returner. He isn't fast enough to be on the field full time. I do agree that he is a good athlete and I like how he plays but he should never be a starter.

    Ohhhhh I couldnt disagree more....

Magee = very good player with little experience

  2. Namely......

    Magehee vs Henry

    Evans vs Reed

    Denny vs Kelsay

Euhus vs the other tight ends

WM vs TH......one thing that I am noticing big time vs last year.....this is not the same Travis Henry......it seems like he has to work so hard to get his yards and he tries to take a lot of stuff outside rather then work between the tackles.....he is making costly mistakes both in blocking, pass reception, and what he is supposed to do.....while WM seems like even though he doesn't have his speed back....gets yards almost effortlessly he is finding the seams in the defense (however small they may be) and is always falling forward......AT THIS POINT MAGEHEE IS OUTPLAYING HENRY

LE vs JR.....this one is so blatant....I dont think there is ANYTHING that Reed is doing better the Evans.....my big complaint is waiting too long to get him on the field and involved....which should be starting from the outset of the game

Denny vs Kelsay.....Kelsay has Dennys running stopping ability...plus the ability to make plays in the backfield.....Kelsay had a sack and almost had another 2 on Saturday.......but he was definately disrupting.......

Euhus vs all the other TE's.....he might be smaller....but that guy is the best pass catching TE we have.....he needs to be on the field more......

  3. Bledsoe drops back... and... That's all he does is drop back, then nothing happens!

No scrambling, no quick passes, no fricked brains. He is a lame duck.

You put Favre, Brady, or about 50% of the QB's in there and we are 4-0.

He has absolutely no awarness what is happening with pressure and what to do about it.

Enjoy your last season with the Bills Drew... and Good riddens.

We'll save cap room and then be able to sign the #1 pick in the draft.

And that pick better be superstar Donohoe or you are next.

Drew is NOT the only reason why this team is losing......if it was that simple then the team would have had Mathews in already....

It is a collective group effort

  4. I gotta say...I am not ready for the season to be over with what....11 games left to go....

I think there is a lot of football left to be played....and if a couple of things change....

I personally dont think they are utilizing the personnel correctly.....

Anybody notice how this offense picked up when Evans and Magahee went into the game in the second half?

    - START LEE EVANS....stick with Lee Evans.....sit Josh Reed....bring in Sam Aiken for another big target....and Tim EUHUS is showing why we drafted him.......

    - Magehee needs to be on the field a LOT more....has anyone else noticed how hard Henry has to work for yards....but it seems almost effortless for WM? I was noticiing that yesterday.....he blocks better...and he is a natural reciever......

    - Evans is not just a deep threat....that is just what he is best at...Evans can catch the short pass too.......

    - And for the love of god can we please just make Kelsay the perm starter instead of this "splitting time".....Denny is not going to be the answer...Kelsay is just as good a run stop guy and brings the added element of a playmaker (just not as dominat as I had hoped)

I dont mean to harp on the QB issue...I just want Drew to succeed so bad because I like him as a person....it kills me the situation as it is happening......

  5. For a QB to be able to sidestep a blitzer to buy a second or two and make a play, he has to have somewhere to go.  Drew isn't facing one guy getting through, it is a lot worse than that.  Take the sack on the last drive.  He had no place to go, nowhere.  That pocket collapsed from the left, right and in the middle and so fast that he couldn't even get his arm cocked to throw it away.  Further, he was between the tackles so even if he could, he likely would have ended up with a grounding call.  The first time Jonas got burned by Abrahams, Ellis also beat MW on the right side.  Abrahams just got their first.  Drew had only one place he could go, further backwards for an even deeper loss.

Yes, Drew is not very mobile.  People around her seize on that one issue and then blame everything on it and tend to imagine that if only he were a little more nimble, everything would be okay.  It isn't so.  Watch him, Drew mostly takes a step forward to try and evade outside rushes.  That is what they all do from Brady to McNabb.  The problem is, our interior guys get pushed back literally every play.  They don't always lose their guy but they do have to backpedal which leaves Drew no place to go when he steps up to avoid the guys coming around the edge.  How many times have you seen Drew just disappear in a sea of jerseys?  See, he doesn't take too many blind side hits from the edge rusher where you see the whole gory misadventure.  Usually what you see is him stepping up into a pile of humanity and just vanishing.

Drew is bound and determined not to have a lot of fumbles this year so he is taking care of the football, taking the sack and avoiding the turnover.  Pennington let us back in the game by trying to get rid of the ball as he was going down and threw a pick instead.  When the bodies get close, Drew is pulling it in rather than teeing it up to try and throw it away.  If he were to get hit in the middle of that, he would risk a pick or a fumble.

BB is right, our line is horsesh*t.

Drew makes some mistakes and no, he is not mobile but if we gave him even a little space, he would do just fine.  McNabb was sacked just about as much as Drew was last year (43 for McNabb, 49 for Drew).  Is McNabb just not mobile enough?  Drew even had a higher completion percentage and the rest of their numbers really were not all that different.  This year he has a better QB rating than Michael Vick, Jake DelHomme, Jake Plummer, Trent Green, Vinny T. and Steve McNair to name a few.

Think about it, if Nate bats down that ball against J'ville and the refs don't screw up the call on that nonTD by Travis in the Oakland game, if the D stops the Jets on that last drive and Travis doesn't fall down on that 3rd and 2 run agianst the PATs, aren't we here talking about what a great season Drew is having and how he is cutting down on the turnovers?  We can win with Drew, we can't win with that line and it won't matter who are QB is if we don't fix that problem.

Mickey....this sounded like me a few weeks ago.....

I actually think there are some teams you could put Drew on and he would be successfull.....but not on this team....

We need a QB that can take off if protection breaks down.....making teams think TWICE about bringing the house on every play.......

  6. The problem is right now Evans is "just a deep threat". Truth be told we need him (or someone else) to standup and be a consistant threat and then we'll start to see more points on the scoreboard. As the reason our offense was so deadly when Bledsoe first arrived was Moulds AND Price were consistantly dangerous. Notice in yesterdays game we scored when Bledsoe found someone besides Moulds in the endzone. Remember when our offense was at it best it was because of the combination of Reed, Lofton and Thomas. Dallas was able to beat us with Irvin, Harper and Smith.  The Rams offenses of recent years featured Bruce, Holt and Faulk. The Patriots are 4-0 in part because they have Givens, Patten, Branch, Graham and Dillon. Offense, like football in general, is a team game. The more players that can be counted on the deadlier you become. As one of the primary reason the Pats have been so great is their depth is amazing especially at WR and TE.

    65290[/snapback]

We need to give Evans a chance to be that "consistant" threat.....

    Like we did last week

  7. The problem is the ther other umpteen consecutive punts by the offense in the game....

While Drew did look very good on those plays.....it doesn't change the fact that the offense didn't move before then....or that we are 0-4

Losman will be playing simply because he is the future of this team....and with nothing else to lose the future is going to start now....not to mention the fact that the owner is not happy and they need to sell tickets......

  8. And let me add up front a LOT of blame to go around on this team......

As a fan who has loved having Drew here.....the biggest problem I have with him now is if a Offensive Linemen blows an assignment.....it is just a sack....simple as that....you just know it is a fricken sack......

Other teams when a assigment has broken down have a QB that can buy themselves a couple of extra seconds EVEN IF that QB is not a scrambler....

TEAMS DONT DEFENSE DREW....THEY BLITZ HIM

  9. "I can sum it up very easily. I'm disappointed the team doesn't show more spark, offensively particularly. We don't show any spark."

That quote is directly damning of Drew Bledsoe. I'm sorry, but your QB is the leader on the field and this offense has adopted his demeanor (slow, methodical, boring, no spark, passive, etc..).  I hate to see good coaches like Mularkey, Clements, Wyche....get dragged through this mess.  They need to replace him since we have no chance of replacing the whole O-line.

That has a sound of "I want to see my first round pick play now"

  10. I know this sounds crazy....but I actually think that we should work out some sort of deal with Miami right now for a player and their 2nd round pick....which is going to be VERY high this year.....

There is something up with Henry.....his decision making on his runs and the ability to keep his feet after the first hit is missing...I dont know why......

If we dont unload Henry while people still remember him as a 1K rusher......we might not be able to get a 3rd rounder for him.....

  11. My take on that exchange was "Jesus Christ, he has so much money and so many business interests, that he doesn't even know what he owns!"  :D  "WTF!"  :(  "He doesn't identify with the average joe at all!"  :D .  He didn't deny owning a timber company, he was just surprised by it, like he wasn't sure if he does or not.  And me being an average joe, that didn't sit well with me.  To me it made him look like a filthy rich, pompous, ignorant man.  I mean, I know what I own and what I don't own, most of working America does, right?  I know Kerry is filthy rich too, but he doesn't come off as a pompous, ignorant man.

Don't flame me, those were just my immediate thoughts after seeing that timber exchange, I'll refrain from saying anything about the wood between Bush's ears  :D .

Christ.....I guess you called that one right Paco.... :D

  12. I hate to interject into this with a off based question but....

What the hell has Clements done to all of a sudden make him unworthy of being OUR offensive coordinator......

    - I can also recall several articles that said it was time for Tom Clements to make the dive....and several comments from around the league that he was a excellent OC in the making.....

    - I myself see NO PROBLEM with the playcalling he is using....we are running more then passing.....we are taking deep shots here and there........THE PLAYERS ARE NOT EXECUTING THE OFFENSE....for crying out loud you got receivers dropping balls......running backs going the wrong way on plays.......

When the players are messing themselves up....the offense is moving right down the field......

  13. I don't know how good a measure that really is, to be perfectly honest with you.  Al Qaeda waited 8 years between WTC Act I and WTC Act II.  It certainly didn't have alot to do with our increased "anti-terror" posture - because it didn't really exist at the time.
