I just wonder how well Drew would do in a back up role to JP Losman....for the remainder of this season anyway....
The guy has a lot of experience.....needed badly by our boy wonder

I will tell you why we will win.....
- The jets schedule has been ultra soft......
- Their main focus of offense so far has been running the ball......while what we have been doing best is stopping runners....and we have stopped some pretty good ones already....
- I dont consider the Jets O Line to be any better then the jags......Pennington is a good....but he will make mistakes when pressured......
- The biggest weakness on our D has been the giving up of the big play on 3rd down...Wire has usually been the culprit....and he is being replaced for the most part by PP.....who has better range for a safety........
On our side......I think we can run t he ball on these guys....Evans will probably start.....I think we can take advantage of their corners.....
And basically to top it all off....we are backed into a corner for a win.....

I think you hit on something I have been thinking...
To me that is the biggest difference in these two (and they both have flaws)
Bush is a "initiator" he knows what he wants to do and he fricken does it......Kerry is a "reactor"
I dont want a "reactor" as commander and cheif.....but that is just me

I want to make the playoffs no doubt but would I would really like to do is stick it to all these cowboy fans who think they are going to be picking in the top 5 of the draft......

I said it....I have to stick by it.....
I was all for a move to take Teague out and insert Tucker into the center position......I thought he did very well when called upon last week....but this week will see if my theory is correct......
Even as well as Tre has played I still see room for improvement (especially in run blocking) in the middle of this line......
To me it looks like our backs have to run at the "edges" of the D Line in order to get anything going.......my theory of Tucker being a bigger, heavier, nastier player but smart I thought would make him ideal for the position.....
Tucker has the tools to handle the monsters that hang out in the middle nowadays.......but I guess we will find out on Sunday.....

Also to add on to the thing with Josh Reed.....the thing that troubles me about Josh is if you are a WR without size or great speed you better be making acrobatic catches for your team (like Hines Ward)
On that end zone pass to Reed.....yeah the defender held him (should have been a flag) to Reed didnt lay himself out for hit....IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOUCHDOWN FOR CHRIST SAKE.........

That wont have changed if it was next year..........he would just have had more practice......
And here is just a wild brained thought.....he might be able to facilitate this team to more then 10 points a game with all these weapons.....
If we can score 17 points a game we will win most of our games.......

I was pondering this last night going over this Patriot film.....
What are the reasons why you start a rookie first round QB?
- Because there is noone better?
- Because you are losing?
- Because you need to see what you have?
- To get them ready for the following year?
hmmmmmmm
What would be the worst thing that would happen to this team....
- We lose our games?
- With a rookie QB we would have to run the ball more, simplify the offense, and max protect when we pass (Oh wait....we are doing that NOW)
Folks.....the more I go over this the more I think that we need to insert Losman into this lineup as soon as he is completely healthy and has some practice reps with the first team offense.........the more I think about this situation......we are doing everything RIGHT now.....that we would do for a rookie QB coming in.....
Is he going to make his share of mistakes....no doubt......are we still going to lose some games.....absolutely....but I also sit there and ask myself.......would a QB that could run for a first down help us slow teams blitzing us? Yeah....it would
The future is now....or at least before the end of this year.....

This isn't little league where everybody gets their manditory 3 plays....
We were moving the ball at will in the 1st....Evans doesn't play much in the 2nd......and this coaching staff couldn't see the connection?

Yep.......I think that is a pretty close description.....
Politics I know nothing about......terrorism I got to see close up for the final years of my tour in the Air Force.......
I would also like to add something to this discussion that people may or may not agree with.......
A lot of people jump on the culture of Islam and say that it is one of the main reasons why all of this is happening......
I dont agree...I dont blame the culture itself....I think that terrorists have been doing this for SO LONG......that the middle east has entirely lost site of the fact that terrorists are basically criminals who do bad and then try to throw an Islam blanket over it and call it religion or culture
I know PLENTY of Middle Eastern people who practice the Islam culture that wouldn't think of harming another person....
These !@#$ terrorist organiations have got the world snowed as to why they do the things they do....they simply dont want us there...are afraid of what our way of life would bring to those people.....and quite simply they know that if the everyday "joe blow" masses that live in those countries realized that a better way of life is available they would get torn to pieces.....
They cant have that....so they are blowing things up and beheading people....
Its much deeper then that....but you get the gist
