1. But the receiver touched the ball right?

Even Elway and Montana didn't hit every receiver between the numbers on every pass attempt.  That is impossible.

Actually the QB on my sons JAAF team is even worse then Drew Bledsoe (with twice attitude) he threw a backward lateral pass that was returned for a touchdown......we lost by 2 points

  2. Man, I can't wait to see JP have three balls deflect off of receivers' hands and be intercepted.  That'd be sooooo much better.

    Campy,

Some of those throws should not have been where they should be....that said the WR's should have caught them....BUT

Do we need to force it into a wide receiver all the time when we have a QB that can scramble for a first down to keep a drive alive?

Losman brings more offensive options.....no doubt he will bring more int's....BUT WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE

  3. I live 500 miles from Buffalo.  To answer your first question: Owning season tickets helps keep the team in Buffalo, even though I can only get to 3 games a year.

Two, as nice as it is you pay for Sunday Ticket, the bills only get a 1/32 cut of that money.  All of my money goes to the Bills.  Also, tickets sales is the only thing we can do as fans to contribute to the success of the Bills.

Three, If I did not renew my season tickets, chances are no one would pick them up.  The Bills only have 40,000 or so season ticket holders.  When they suck, that number goes down.

Having said all that, I reserve the right to be honest, and critical, of my team.

Fine....be honest and critical of your team....but the basis of this thread sounds like you are questioning the loyalty of other fans just because they dont agree with you....I PROMISE YOU THAT I AM EVERY BIT A FAN OF THIS TEAM AS YOU ARE.......whether I pay 1 dolllar or 1000 dollars.....

That being said...it sounds like that 500 mile drive and watching the team lose is eating away at you inside....might I suggest being charitable with the tickets to someone else would like to go see an NFL game? You could save yourself the drive.

  4. Too bad you missed the Dolphins game...

    83101

I saw it.....one game does not make a season

The other thing that happened in this game is they waited TOO long to take Henry out of the game....

Did you guys see his pathetic attempting at pass blocking out there?

  5. It was just pointed out that we haven't scored a rushing TD in 37 freaking quarters!

Once again, we have zero run attempts in the red zone.  Especially on first down!

But you know what, this is all Drew's fault.

Gosh, I sound like a broken record.

DB is to blame for play calling.  Yet know one brings it up.

Boy, once you pick your patsy, you have to keep playing that card.

    That's funny.

I admire your loyalty....I was there to......but common sense has finally taken me over

  6. This is where the problem is.....

When you have protection that will give him time.....he USUALLY will pick a defense apart.....until he gets inside the 20

The problem is that I am not sure the kind of protection he needs exists in the NFL.....you would certainly have to concentrate all your resources on it.....draft, free agency, etc....you would HAVE to have all pros up there......

That is not the makeup of this team.....that is why they are MUCH better off with a guy who can tuck and run if it isn't there.....if Drew has noone to pass too....then he is no longer effective on that given play......

    JP Losman.....we need you

  7. How many season tickets do you have, sonny?  I support this team with my wallet, and I plan to continue to support them.  Unlike you.

What does having season tickets have to do with how loyal a fan you are?

Those of us who live 3000 miles away and purchas NFL Sunday ticket (of which part of the proceeds indirectly go to the Bills) and buy tons of Bills gear HAVE AS MUCH A STAKE IN THIS TEAM AS YOU DO........

What you are saying is you feel you have a share of the bills because you have the OPPORTUNITY to go to the games.....

You dont.....and if you drop those tickets somebody else will pick them up in a heartbeat

  8. Of the 4 guys on the line, only 2 (the ends) push into the backfield in this defense. That's what fat Sam is all upset about. So, out of the 3 defensive ends, one of them has tackled the enemy ballcarrier 3.5 times behind the line in FIVE games. WOW! That's production baby. What was I thinking.

Between he and Denney we've got 2 serviceable backups. Add Schoebel to that list and now you've got 3 backups and no premier DE.

I think he has potential, but there's a lot of potential on that line and not a lot of production.

Squirrelnuts there has a valid point (Just kiddin RDB.. :) )

There is a problem with the fundamental play of the defensive line and it has Sam Adams miffed....because they dont seem to want to let their 2 DT's (who are supposed to also be good pass disrupters) get into the backfield and after the QB......IF THEY DID it would create more opportunities for the ends in the defense and thus more stats for both Kelsay and Schrobel

  9. Wildcards are meaningless anyway.  We'll never get back to the SB until somebody in the league (preferably the Bills) figures out how to beat NE.

    81061

I dont agree....a wildcard makes the Cowpokes 1st rounder from us a high teens pick.......and gives this team confidence going into next year.......

I just want to make the playoffs........

  10. I personally think it sucks that you guys are talking about the season being over when we just got getting our first win....

Yeah I know it was against Miami

Yeah I know they are 0-5

But it was a win, in our friggen conference and division

If our team can find a way to win this week.....it changes everything because they have a favorable next game as well......

  11. Once again....everyone is comparing these two backs on their yardage and running ability......

That is NOT what we shoud be soley basing our decision on IMHO

The fact is the reason why WM should be in the game:

    - Facts our this offense runs more smoothly...simple as that

    - You dont see DE's getting instant pressure on Bledsoe while he is in the game

    - The screen pass is a real weapon with WM....because he is a bigger target....can catch a screen pass....and is patient enough to set up blockers

    - He has the size to get tough first downs and allow the bills to open up their offensive playbook

You have to figure it all in

  12. It's friday, no class, Im bored so i decided to research the debates of the summer a little bit.  Kelsay v. Denney was one of my favorites and Through 5 games, here's their stat lines:

Chris Kelsay 10 tackles 6 solo  1.0 sack 3.5 tackles for loss 1 FF 1 pass defensed

Ryan Denney 9 tackles 3 solo  0.0 sacks 0 tackles for loss 0 FF 0 passes defensed

    discuss

    80966

I have come to the conclusion that the bills are going to deny Kelsay the right to bud at the the End position until some sort of cap situation mandates they get rid of Denny.......

I personally think they are holding back his development....the bottom line is that KELSAY IS MORE PRODUCTIVE......how many sacks does he have this year? Pressures?

  13. If I heard right I think Travis had Plantar Faciitis. Which is a very painful injury I know from experience. With proper stretching techniques it could go away in a few weeks or if it's bad anywhere from 6 months or longer. If you develop bone spurs surgery could be an option. Although they say the best method for treatment is to let it heal on it's own.  Playing rb when I was younger I know the pain travis is probably in right now.  So unless travis and this coaching staff are really stupid I fully expect willis to start.

    79633

The thing is Travis is probably begging to get back onto the field....

Lets hope that smarter heads prevail...and that Willis keeps up his "stop asking the question....Travis Henry is the starter for this team and I am just filling in when I go for over 100 yards"

  14. It's not supposed to be an equal bargin between one person and the other 999.  Allowing every employee who is terminated to sue a company DOES create economic harm to the other 999 employees.  A company is nothing more than a collective of individuals working towards a common goal.  To say they don't have the right to decide who can and can't work with them is hardly in the spirit of free enterprise that our country was founded on.
