1. PintoRon must be very shy (or very smart).  He's been a member for over a year and has only posted 4 times.  So sorry I'll miss the wedding and the tailgate. But best wishes to the happy couple.

To me Pinto Ron is a friggen ICON......John from Hemet would like nothing more then to eat off his famous car......

JUST TO SAY I WAS THERE AND DID IT

  2. Of course I will end up watching it.....

I just hate knowing how it is going to turn out....sweet little anikin is going to end up being a total bad guy.....

And then you have the thing between him and extremely lucious female heroin.....when exactly does this go to stevestojan and why? You would think she would be enough to keep him on the good side of the force

  3. Bill what will you do when McGahee starts and we lose?  You will have no whipping boy to put in your EVERY post?  Oh wait, McGahee had the lion's share of the carries last week and we DID lose.  And he helped with giving the raven's seven points.  Good god, you are worse than Spikedlemonade.

Umn....you did see that we were playing catchup early in last weeks game right?

  4. I'm finally facing every mother's nightmare - a son that wants to go to war. He has been accepted into the Army (Artillary) and will leave for basic training in about 3 weeks. My first Thanksgiving and Christmas without him. A heart breaker.  How do I wish him well when I don't support our invasion of Iraq?

    Aussie,

Having servied in the FIRST Gulf Conflict and being in a similar situation I would give you this advice......support HIM whether or not you believe what the country itself is doing is right (which I do)

Supporting our military family has nothing to do with whether you beleive he is going for the right reasons....it is because you respect that as a man he is doing what he signed up to do......

If he does go to Iraq.....tell him to listen what is being told to him by the experienced vets.....dont that stupid unecissary chances.....and dont be a hero.

  5. and then set up the line this way:

    LT Jennings/Price

    LG Mike Williams

    C Teague/Tucker

    RG Villareal

    RT Price/Peters/Free Agent

Look the guys we have aren't that bad. When Drew is replaced with JPL next year (or this year if we are lucky) then you will notice a big improvement in pass blocking. While I still think M. Williams gets too much blame just because he was a high pick, since his strength is drive blocking he'd be a stud at guard, probably the next Larry Allen. At center I think both Teague or Tucker could get the job done equally. Now at RT, Price has proven he can play either side effectively; if Jonas comes cheap we could move Price to RT. Then if Price is set at RT, this lineup would look pretty good. Now if Jonas cost too much, simply replace him with Price at LT. This wouldn't be much of a drop off and then either groom Peters to take over at RT or sign a free-agent RT. I think that by 2005 with a year and another off season to get adjusted Peters will be a force to consider at tackle for he definitely fits the bill (or Bill) athletically.

Overall, the key change would need to be at QB for once Drew is replaced there will no longer be a sitting duck back there. Unless a team blitz you rarely see immediate pressure upon Bledsoe. Now while all the sacks aren't Drew's fault, half of his sacks are either coverage sacks or instances where he doesn't sense the rush and step up in the pocket. If we had a QB who could beat the blitz then guess what; teams won't be as tempted. Besides this year this group of guys have proven they can run block as TH hasn't gotten all those yards by himself the past 3 years; with M.Williams at guard we will pave the way to victory in 2005. All we need now is a coach or GM with the you know what to make bold changes and put these players in the best position regardless of salary or preference. I guess Murlakey is on the right track for by placing starters on special teams for our special teams has played better than they have in years. If he takes that same attitude to the O-line and QB then we'd be an elite team again instead of a heartbreak hotel losing close games and what ifs'!

I think that a shakeup is due on this line.....

Even if we are able to resign Jennings...he should move back to the Right Tackle position....Mike Williams should be moved to Left Guard......and we should draft a left tackle

  6. I think that would be a good start to the Willis era at RB.

I think you are going to see a much different team in 2005 with Willis and J.P in there instead of the Dump Truck and Bledsoe.

I could see us averaging in the mid 20's in points per game next year which would be good enough to win with the defense we have.  We need to add some lineman though to help Willis and J.P next year.  J.P however is more apt to take off running when the blocking breaks down so we would see more positive plays which disguises the poor line play sometimes.

BF....I think the Magehee era actually began the week before last....when Willis churned out over 100 yards against a good Miami defense

  7. There is of course a reason why I ask this......

Folks know that Bledsoe is part of the problem but certainly is the answer......and I am just trying to figure out in my own mind if he is a better FIT for this particular team right now (Until Losman is healthy)

    - I know he doesn't have arm strength.....the thing is....we can block long enough to throw downfield anyway.....so wouldn't he be a better fit

    - If he can move around at all he might buy more time for our receivers

    - If he makes better decisions that might be good for us as we keep hearing about scenario after scenario where somebody was open but Drew forced it to his primary target

I am just saying that I am not totally sure that giving him a shot till Losman gets back wouldn't be a GOOD thing......it might allow this team to gain some confidence....AND he knows he is the #2....so no contiversy.

Just thought I would throw that out there

  8. I think that I have been so busy defending Drews honor from people who would just B word on him constantly that I ended up taking up for a bills player against my own judgement........

The thing is....in the right system I really do still think he would be successfull....unfortunately I dont think that system exists anymore.......

Would Drew have been successfull behind Wolford, Ballard, Hull, Davis, Ritcher.......with Thurman Thomas running the ball and receivers like Andre Reed and James Loften......

I think he would.....but those days are long gone in Buffalo.....

  9. Does anybody else think that ball DID go off the Ravens leg on the punt....but the refs didn't reverse their call....I mean....HOW DIFFICULT WAS THAT TO CALL...THE FRIGGEN BALL CHANGED ITS DIRECTORY

What does everybody think of Drew just walking off the field at the half.....leaving his team out there.......

  10. But not behind this line.  He won't last long.  He's proven to be fragile on a soft hit.  Imagine the blows he's get from pass rushers.

I want this guy to stick around for a long time and try to break some records here in Buffalo.

    83271

Losman has proven to be "fragile"? Just because he got a fluke injury?

The guy got beat to stevestojan behind a horrible line at Tulane and is still going strong.....I dont think "fragile" would be a good term for him....

RJ was "fragile" who got hurt all throughout his career....Losman bounces up from hits......

  11. The thing I like about Losman is that he is used to playing behind a lousy offensive line. He has learned to make plays even so. But watching Carson Palmer struggle in Cinncinnatti is making me a little nervous about throwing Losman to the wolves.

    83284

Actually.....Palmer sat for a year behind another QB didn't he? It should serve as a good for instance on why NOT to let a 1st round rookie QB sit and watch

    THey need the reps

  12. The problem is Evans can't run the 40 in 2.0 . He'll have to do that because that is about all the time the O-line is giving Drew to throw.

    83260

Well....here is a unique concept....lets get Lee going on shorter routes to get him into the game instead of having Bledsoe stare down Eric Moulds on every play......

You see....that is actually one of the reasons why I think Losman....or the OTHER QB FOR THAT MATTER.....might come in and do better.....

They dont have a connection with Moulds that will tip off the defense......Drew Bledsoe was so telegraphing his throws today...he was driving me nuts
