  1. But he voluntarily pulled the ball back - so fwd progress shouldn't apply, right? That only applies to breaking the plane of the end zone.
  2. Bullcrap. You see the dark rubber bouncing on the turf. What a load of ****.
  3. Patriots OL getting away with a lot of holds...
  4. Exactly. I'm surprised BB didn't do it. They score the TD, the game is essentially over... which is sad but that's the reality.
  5. Can you blame the guy? The Browns are two orders of magnitude worse than our own team, and that says a lot!
  6. I don't like having to rely on St. Doug beating Meathead's team to make it in...
  7. If they get the TD, I'd go for two. At 3-11 you have nothing to lose.
  8. Dump it... the fans don't like it, the players hate it, and the increased exposure is killing the core NFL Sunday product. The problem with that of course is that the NFL already has their money from the Sunday packages, so why not bid out a Thursday package?
  9. Even the resident Patriot* trolls have to admit that this seems plausible. I'm a Yankee fan and readily admit that for some time that a good portion of the team was taking PEDs. I suspected it at the time, too. There is no "nutrition" regimen that improves your performance as age increases unless those "nutrients" have the letters HGH in them.
  10. RED = Buffalo @ New England (incl AK/HI)
  11. There has to be more to this story. You don't abruptly resign on a Monday morning after having signed a huge contract extension just a month earlier. If this was just a substance abuse problem, take a leave of absence like everyone else and sort things out.
  12. At this rate, I almost feel like the first 30 plays should be scripted. Even Peterman looked good with the scripted plays in LA until he hit a wall.
  13. Preliminary week 16 map, courtesy 506sports.com: RED = Buffalo @ New England (incl AK/HI)BLUE = LA Chargers @ NY JetsGREEN = Miami @ Kansas CityYELLOW = Denver @ WashingtonORANGE = Cleveland @ ChicagoCYAN = Jacksonville @ San Francisco (late)
  14. She's what I would have expected out of a 'E' team NFL crew. Nothing insightful, made several mistakes, lacked polish, and was repetitive. I can't remember if she made reference to Jack Nicklaus being the grandfather of Nick O'Leary... bonus points if she didn't. Feely was just as bad. Of all the CBS crews, I prefer Harlan/Gannon. I think Kevin Harlan is excellent at PBP and Gannon is a decent color commentator. Romo is better but I don't care for Nantz.
  15. Eh, they're overdue for a crushing defeat - their losses this season have all been pretty clear cut. Watch them go up 21-0, then given up 28 unanswered with Brady scoring on the last play of the game on a McKelvin-esque muffed punt.
  16. One of these was called a touchdown... the other wasn't. Guess which call went which way?
  17. I don't see any incontrovertible video evidence that his hand wasn't underneath the ball while it moved. More likely that it hit the ground? Sure, but that's not the standard to overturn a call. There is no conclusive angle that shows for sure that it hit the ground and not some part of his hand. Shocking that the resident Pats fan shows up and rubs salt in the wound. Just shocking.
  18. So Buffalo controls its own destiny now? If they go 10-6 they make it?
  19. This **** only happens to NE*.
  20. Exactly my thoughts. I almost wish they win this week to avoid being the punching bag for them.
  21. I bet this is a play to increase club ticket sales in anticipation of capturing more sales for the new stadium project. When I go to the games, I always pick up tickets in one of the sideline clubs. The seats themselves have excellent sight lines and the club amenities are nice without removing you from the stadium atmosphere. The restrooms are cleaner, the annoying drunks are quickly taken care of, you can watch Sunday Ticket after the game while waiting for traffic to clear... it's money well spent if you're planning to go to the game.
  22. I still don't understand why we can't get a HC that makes good in-game decisions around things like 4th down, challenges, etc.
  23. The WNY county governments suck. Niagara County charges for access. Erie has almost nothing available through their website. As much as I rail about King County and Seattle's annoying leftism, the property/document search provided by the recorder's office is excellent.
