  1. Feels odd for sure, especially in the middle of the season with games remaining. Putting on an event like this isn't free and they want to prevent no-shows, so I can understand the cost. That said, $35 feels a bit high to me. $20 seems more appropriate maybe?
  2. I said in another thread that I didn't see the point of firing Babich when the problem was the personnel. I think at this point, given the lack of discipline on defense - you have to fire the guy and let McD run it for the remainder of the season. Just to save face at the very least. Something has to be done.
  3. The defense is absolutely pathetic.
  4. Colts/Chargers being buried in the 4:05 late window is unfortunate. Probably the most interesting game on the schedule this week.
  5. 100% agree - he's likely going to try to get something else. That said... I think his smartest move would be to get into broadcasting and move away from coaching. I don't see him getting a better gig. The big time programs aren't going to hire him with his record in big games.
  6. Add me to the group that wants to see Gore out there. He showed flashes in preseason and I think he's earned the opportunity to get called up for a game.
  7. LOL - discipline for Rex is going up to the buffet no more than five times and skipping the sprinkles at the dessert bar. Please oh please Miami, hire Rex.
  8. The Dolphins have a situation where I feel like they could make an in-season coaching move to an interim guy. It's clear McDaniel is not the long term answer and with Hill out... there's very little hope they can turn it around to make the playoffs. Might as well shake it up, see how the players react, and gauge who you want to keep for next year. Meanwhile you give someone a 10-ish game interview to see how they handle things.
  9. They were worse in the stadium. Other than body size I couldn’t distinguish Knox’s 88 and Kincaid’s 86. Though I guess one has hands of stone and the other typically makes an impact so that was another way too. I really disliked these jerseys and I hope they get canned after whatever the minimum number of years they’re required to use them is. I guess they’re better than the red jerseys but why not just give us the 90’s throwbacks like everyone has asked for?
  10. I am staying over in East Aurora for the game today. I was a bit surprised to see so many of the rivalry jerseys while walking around. I guess the marketing is working?
  11. This board will have a conniption if they elevate Bass while Prater is continuing to perform. They are saying the politically expedient thing for two reasons - one, in case Prater somehow falls off a cliff production-wise, and two, to make it appear as though they aren't intentionally storing him on IR even though he may be healed. If Prater is healthy and making his kicks, he's gonna stay through the end of the year.
  12. LOL you beat me to it.
  13. I am not a Babich fan, but I also think firing him isn't going to turn it around this season. The root cause comes down to the roster - they assembled a group of fragile "high motor" guys that have a tendency to get hurt at the expense of putting hard hitting, physical players on defense. This has been McDermott's MO on defense since he arrived. Dorsey got fired because he had an MVP in Allen on the roster and they were not playing to their potential. Can you really say that Babich's defense is bursting with talent? Milano, Oliver, and Daquan Jones are the top three paid defensive players this year. Not exactly elite level talent. This is unfortunately a problem that has to be addressed in the offseason.
  14. I mean... by that standard, white is a color for the other 31 teams as well. It's just an odd choice, that's all.
  15. My guess is this is a Terry Pegula idea from Penn State. Sort of a last minute thing based on last week. Let's hope the result is different.
  16. I agree. I picked this game before it was announced what this was.... I don't think I own any white Bills gear which is saying something. It's never really been a team color.
  17. I agree, this is a very big game in the grand scheme of things. Vrabel is a meathead but his teams have a knack for getting into the Bills' heads. They will be physical and I think Buffalo will have a hard time with them if they play like they did against Miami and the Saints. Ultimately I think they win but this is going to be one of those 24-20 games - lower scoring than we have been seeing and much closer than most expect. I see the current line is -7.5, the smart money would be on NE* to cover that.
  18. The reason I like 10 minutes better than 15 is that it gives each team an opportunity to employ strategies to win the game without the coin flip having an outsized impact. If they increase the time to 15 minutes, Green Bay probably receives instead of kicks on the coin toss. They score a FG, Dallas scores a FG. Now there's 5 minutes left for Green Bay to march down the field... essentially the coin flip giving them the ability to control sudden death. With 10 minutes... there's a higher likelihood of 2 possessions, meaning you could have scenarios like going for 2 after a TD to break a tie, milking the clock to prevent a third possession (like GB did here), etc. It's more interesting from a strategic point of view and puts more power into the team's hands to determine the outcome over a coin flip.
  19. I like it. There was a lot of clock management strategy that Green Bay had to think about there - and they colossally failed in that respect.
  20. 100% agree with this. They ban lesser stuff like leverage on field goals but then the punter has to face a rush of 300lb linemen while he's standing on a single leg. I don't understand why the punt hasn't faced the scrutiny that the kickoff has to be honest.
  21. You know it's funny, the public at the time gave him a lot of grief for complaining about it. Here we are years later though and still use it as a "Terry is cheap" or "put that guy in Takeo's box" reference when the time is right 😄.
  22. KC has a reputation for being penny pinching and not particularly well run in the front office. They hit on Mahomes and Reid but you'll see in other areas they have a bad reputation. IIRC players rated them quite poorly.
  23. Does Parry still work for the Bills? I don't see anything on the team website that shows him on staff.
  24. Geno is a barely passable backup quarterback at this point. I think I'd rather have Trubisky out there if I were them.
  25. I suspect the visor is going to be making an appearance on Josh's helmet for the rest of the season.
