The only thing we said in the bar was 'sh--, there goes our offseason extra draft pick' when TH went down. Honestly that is all TH is anymore. When he comes into the game he doesnt' seem to give a sh--. He runs, blocks and catches 1/2 assed. His attitude sucks. Joe burns will BURN people if they underestimate his ass. Didn't this kid kick serious ass in NFLE? He has been on our roster enough now to contribute.

Backups will be a dime a dozen this offseason.

My only comment is...was Rothlesburger ready? No more so than Manning, JP or Rivers. Look where Rothlesburger is now. We have a team now that can protect JP just like Roth is protected in Pitt.

Honestly brother, next to none. Had we droped 2 of those losses to NFC Teams then we had a shot. Baltimore and Jacksonville now appear to have been must wins. We would be 7-4 and tiebreakers over those two. In fact Baltimore would be 6-5 and a game behind us as well. Two early wins and we are sitting in the drivers seat for a playoff spot.

Well said, Bill. Many here have referenced past instances of QB development , going back several years. There was no SALARY CAP back then. It dictates many a roster decision these days. Bledsoe carries a big salary and I can't see Losman riding the bench, once the Bills are eliminated from the playoff picture. TD and Co. invested a 1st round pick in this guy. In the salary cap age, that means your day is coming very soon. Mark, isn't it amazing how some want to ignore the fact that the salary cap comes into play. also, if you want to sit a guy 2 years then you send him to NFLE now. But you can't do that with a guy you invested a 1st round pick in. SanDiego says they will franchise Brees. Well that is because they are going to make the playoffs this year AND have 20 mill in cap space next year. 20million! They can take a 9 mill cap hit to franchise brees. But Brees and his agent (whom is Rivers as well I believe) knows the benifit of this. He essentially gets a 9 mill bonus this next season AND will get a bigger one in 06 when they can't afford to trade him. Note: Brees is now a 3rd year starter as well. Some now say they jumped the gun drafting Rivers at all. Unlike the Bills who have a QB that has done the same thing on two different teams over many years. Wyche did not come out of retirement to put humpty dumpty back together again. He came back to ready a prize pupil, something he is good at. The Losman era is coming soon, like it or not. Some posters can call him another Todd Collins or Billy Joe all they want. Means nothing to me. I know what we have in Bledsoe and that means a commitment to mediocrity, something the Pats weren't satisfied with and neither are sober Bills fans. Again dead on Mark. They didn't bring Sam Wyche in to tutor you know who. We all sat here and knew it was for a Rooke QB coming in. Once wyche was on board we knew one was getting picked in the 2nd round or so. Sam Wyche has said JP is as talented as any of the QB's coming out (Yes folks that means rothleswhatever) And at the one on one session was BETTER than Manning. Lastly I am glad you hit the fact that NE didn't want him. They knew what they had. And they knew what they had wasn't going to help NE Achieve their goals.

First off when you draft a QB in the first round, your team has sent a clear signal he is your franchise QB. That is the way it is, has always been done and will always be done. As for Losman, Great mobility, armstrength. Accuracy in college was awsome. Unlike RJ very durable. Can take an asskicking and get back up to play. One of his greatest assets is his ability to throw on the run.

I have to disagree with the QB situation. We drafted JP we play him. Look Rothlesburger is winning for Pitt. To me starting JP is not sacrificing wins. It may be the reason we add some wins. Phat Pat is on the downside of his career. the only way Edwards gets better is to play. When he has played he has played very well this year. It is his time coming up.

Look enough with blown calls blah blah blah. If we had scored more we win. bottom line the BILLS didn't execute THAT is why we lost. Not bad zebra calls.

I am glad MM found his sac. took him awhile but it seems he found it Honestly last week was the best damn coaching calls I have seen in about....6 years. Honestly. Damn good calling across the board. Gray has learned to time his blitzes better. It is honestly too bad this team went breasts up in the first 4 weeks of the season. We would be right there folks. As is I just don't see us making it this year. We are a team on the rise. One that will be feared next year based on our offseason moves. To me this is the offseason LESS is MORE in offseason moves. This team is gaining chemistry together as it is. You will notice I passed over the QB situation. I am staying with the stance that JP Losman was drafted in the first round of the draft. Not only was he drafted in the first round, the Bills gave up this years first and last years 2nd to move BACK into the first round to get him. When you draft a QB in the first round you have stated that he is the guy that will be carrying your team. Sitting does not develop your QB. Watch all the game film you want. TALK with coaches all you want. PRACTICE under safe and controlled conditions all you want. ONLY by starting and playing against live fire do you develop. I am not saying you can just go play without coaching or film, but no matter what you MUST play. Not just mop up time handing the ball off either, but trying to lead your team down the field running the same playbook for the week and trying to score. It is my opinion no matter what our record is this season, JP needs to start next year. He will have had a full year of 'film/coaching' as well as almost two full preseasons to prepare him. By next year the TEAM will have also had a full year in the system under MM. They will protect him like Pitt does Rothlesburger now. Even with JP at the helm, I can see us possibly winning or at least competing for the AFC East title. NE will lose at least Weis this offseason. (Cleveland has hinted tonight he may be their #1 target. They also stated they will wait until even after the superbowl to get the right guy). Weis gone and possibly their DC as well...that opens a door for us.

bottom line, it was an extra attempt. It was blocked and recovered. Then fumbled into the endzone. Because it was a 1 pt Xtra attempt it is a 1 point safety.

Let me ask you a question. Find me a GREAT 100M sprinter that is skinny. You won't. Any great sprinter has great legs, and is strong.

Valuable Development in garbage time? What? handing off? bottom line playing is the only way to develop. I mean PLAY. Pass and hand off. Try to run the SAME offense and SCORE.
