  1. Dang, everyone on the ESPN Get UP set picked Burrow over Allen...and picked Cinci to win over the Bills on Sunday. They even smashed our mini helmet. Burrow and the Bengals are definitely the flavor this week for National media.
  2. It's gonna suck if he's wearing a Dolphins helmet next season.
  3. Kind of annoying to lose a home game but whatever. Give them what could be a possible Lake effect game (Late Nov.- ish). I've warmed up a little bit to these Europe games when it's not my team playing.. mainly because it's something to turn on at 9:30am other than pregame shows. And it's likely a game i wouldn't see more than 2 minutes of had it not been a standalone at 9:30a.
  4. A big part of the game will be which defense can make the other teams QB more uncomfortable. I'd like to see Allen get out of the pocket a bit and use his legs..create some big chunk plays throwing on the run or scrambling. To my eyeballs, when Allen stands flat-footed in the pocket and scans the field, he's not as productive and balls sometimes come out inaccurately as guys are falling around his legs. That's also where he gets his arm swiped at and possibly stripped. Joe "cool" is willing to eat it, turtle up, take the sack and knows he will get it back on the next play. Bills D has gotta cave in their line on critical 3rd down passing plays to get off the field.
  5. Yup. Let’s do it. gotta take advantage NOW. There’s really no guarantee for next year or beyond to make the final 8. I hope the mindset is to pound them into submission. Come out and be the more physical team and make big plays all over the field. I’ll be there screaming.
  6. People like to make a big deal about the timing, but i think this stuff happens every year. I really don't think it affects gameday prep. I'd like to see the last decade of Super Bowl winning teams and who on those staffs were interviewed during their playoff runs. I'm sure there was more than a few.
  7. I looked at the time and it was around 4:00pm and they just ended the 3rd Qtr. i remember thinking what the hell?!? Just a lot of injury stoppages, several long replay reviews, something like 45 pass incompletions, and the usual array of timeouts and referee stoppages. It also seemed like the TV commercials were never ending and longer than regular season games. But i can’t say for sure
  8. I’m starting to feel this game and i can see the Bills really putting out a great effort. Cinci is good, obviously, but you look at their recent string of playoff success their turnover ratio in the games are +2 +2 +1 +2 +1. They are creating and feasting off other teams mistakes and eeking out close wins. Looking at the Bills schedule, they haven’t played a real solid dominant home game since Pittsburgh. In the 6 home games since then, they’ve jumped out to leads in some but went ice cold and/or hung on for dear life. New England was weird since who knows what happens if they don’t get once in a generation kickoff returns? That won’t happen again. I really think Buffalo will play the game of their lives Sunday. They just need to control emotions and not get too amped up (which leads to missed tackles and blown assignments) They should be able to, they’ve played in plenty of big games the past couple years. Can’t wait.
  9. That’s a nice trip. I got a pair of tix in the 100 level early yesterday for $280/ea. fees added another $100+ to the final total. The other prices i saw were quite a bit more in that moment so i jumped on them. we’re making the 8 hour drive for this huge game. I wasn’t going to but it was like there was a “calling” in my head to get tix and come up.lol I came up for a game in November and sat in Sec. 240. Not all the 200 sections have radiant heat. only the sections under the overhang have it. 240 does not, you are exposed to the elements as are the other similar 200 level sections.
  10. Sure hope so. The Bills performance that beat the Titans would be nice. Can we dial that up?!? That's probably the most complete game of the season against a decent team (Tannehill was healthy then).
  11. The dead arm was bad, but the worst for me is how scared he is to be touched. It's impossible to play QB while trying to get the ball out in 1.5 seconds or whatever.. Receivers aren't even ready, the timing was all off and his WR's got clobbered on a few. He's pretty much an old wuss now. And i can relate, I'm older than him.
  12. Nick Wright killing Josh on the Cowherd show, lol. Sheesh. Says he plays like a maniac and his highs are high,,,but his basement is too far down. Says the Chief and Bengals and maybe even the Eagles aren't in danger of their QB giving away the game and Bills fans should be very concerned about that.
  13. The big narrative yesterday on the national sports shows is that Josh is this generations Brett Favre. He's such a gunslinger. He's high risk high reward. He gets intoxicated with throwing the ball downfield and blowing off the easy layup check downs. That New England week 18 game set Josh up for thinking the big play was the way to attack Miami. He's just gotta be careful. Sometimes it's better to give up on a play than put the ball in harms way. Because if he's careless with the ball vs Cincinnati, they have a QB that will make the Bills pay pretty quickly.
  14. I don't know if there's a stat for it, but the Bills offense with Allen must have the highest margin for error in the NFL. No other team can make the mistakes that Buffalo makes, especially on offense and still has a good chance to win.
  15. When it’s all said and done we might look back at that Miami game as the toughest and scariest game of the playoffs. We shall see.
  16. Josh Allen had 3 turnovers and the Bills won by 3. see the symmetry? it’s the power of the 3 every week.
  17. Just bought tickets for Sunday and driving up w my son,,, YEEEEESSSSSS!
  18. These next 3 games are gonna be the highest level opponents. Not sure if the Bills need to dial it back and be a bit more conservative? or if they continue to go Balls to the wall aggressive. After the Pats game week 18, Josh said something to the effect of "dink and dunks are OK, but it's time to start getting aggressive and let your dogs be dogs". I think he got a little too high on that concept yesterday and it almost got them eliminated. Get the ball out of your hand or take off and run. Can't just stand back there scanning the field too long.
  19. When you watch the other games, you realize a lot of teams give up 3rd and longs,,it's not unique to the Bills.
  20. I'm still bitter about the January 1989 AFC Championship loss at Cincinnati. That one hurt. Final was 21-10. The Bills need to avenge that L.
  21. I haven't watched more than a couple Bengals games but i get the impression they try to establish the run game, and stick with it. That will run the clock and keep the scores lower, and theoretically the games closer. I know they can go off and throw a bunch when they want to as well, but maybe they try to stick to the run first formula.
  22. I like being home over the Jungle that's for sure... but over the past few years I've listened to post game interviews with opposing players. Playing in Buffalo really gets the opponents excited. They enjoy the atmosphere. Even Skylar Thompson said it was a dream since he was a little kid to play in the environment he was at yesterday. A team like Cinci will be fired up to play in Orchard Park and shut the fans up. Just hoping their O-line woes turn the tide towards Buffalo.
  23. I enjoy when trends like that are brought up... I saw on the KC board, a few Chiefs fans are concerned that the NFL scheduled their game vs Jax on Saturday. Saturday is the day Trevor Lawrence and Etienne have never lost. Not in High School, College or the NFL. Personally i don't believe in any of the trends. There is no team of destiny, there are no pre-ordained results because one team is on a "magical" ride. Let's face it.. this is one game, in a 3 hour block of time, and whoever plays better and makes fewer mistakes will win.
  24. The announcers and ref in the booth give their opinions on these close plays and they can be very strong to one side... part of me wonders if the eye in the sky is listening to the broadcast and is influenced by their opinion so they don't get embroiled in some big controversial stuff. I'm not sure.. But i do know it was called a TD on the field and it took a very long time for them to break down the "catch" or non catch in super slo mo, frame by frame. This was not a no-brainer. The ball is allowed to contact the grass if the player exhibits control. and i thought he did. I did not think the grass was the reason he gained control if that makes sense.
  25. Shakir and the Knox end zone review. That game went from 21-0 to 17-17 in a blink... and i did blink unlike Von Miller! I still think Knox had control of that football a millisecond before it scraped a few blades of grass...which makes it a legal catch. I was surprised they overturned it. Romo and the ref in the booth were dying for it to be overturned so Miami could stay in the game a bit longer, and they sure did.
