Maybe the worst losing heater streak ever, throw in Ub football and hoops and none of the local teams has won since Nov 3.

The winds have shifted, the band is moving back southward a bit as predicted…heavy snow over Buffalo, Williamsville, airport, now.

I personally don’t take solace in other players injuries.. no matter how much jackassery they pulled on our team.

Two quick thoughts: Glad we have Josh Allen because this snow event isn’t exactly a great recruiting thing to promote playing and living in Orchard Park for free agents. Although neither was the wind game last season or any number of weather games since 1972! With the lack of in-person practice this week and extensive time holed up, the Bills coaching staff had better have studied extensive film and know the Cleveland Browns tendencies, better than the Browns themselves.

The Delta 767 just landed. So now that the plane is safely on the ground it will depart later. Still scheduled for 3:30.

Not true. There’s a Delta from Atlanta landing now and a Frontier from Orlando landing at Noon. Check Flightradar apps. The departures for those flights from Buffalo are still scheduled. So yes, while most flights have been preemptively canceled today, it’s definitely not All, as of now.

That’s what i’m grasping at as well. I mean they basically had a walk through practice on Thursday. That and virtual game planning. That’s it… which is very unusual for an upcoming NFL game. So maybe they stopped obsessing about Minnesota and close losses.. and can play loose against Cleveland.

It’s still a massive effort to get the Southtowns folks to the airport today. I wouldn’t say a miracle, but i’ll be very impressed if everyone makes that flight to Detroit. Assuming it even goes off.

As I mentioned in the other thread. Accoring to Flight Radar app, their Delta charters is scheduled to land at 1:03pm and scheduled departure for Detroit is 3:30pm. The first hurdle is seeing the big jet arrive to BUF. We will be able to follow its progress.

As of 6am the BUF airport tweeted out that the runways are temporarily closed due to snow. Per FlightRadar app, The Bills Delta charter from JFK is scheduled to arrive at 1:03pm. It’s scheduled to depart to Detroit at 3:30pm If the snow band stays north of the airport, they should be able to keep the airport open. Getting the players there, and staff, equipment… that’s remains to be seen.

I don’t know how to link it but Dion Dawkins instagram story is crazy. Really no idea how all these guys are getting out by tomorrow.

Saw on The Weather Channel a few mins ago that around 8pm the highest recorded snow total so far in WNY is none other than the home of the Buffalo Bills, Orchard Park with 66”. Next closest is Hamburg with 54”

I think the Detroit Thanksgiving game is in stone, in that time slot. It’s been that way for decades and would be a logistical headache to change it. Also it’s a Lions home game, and they’ve sold tickets for that day. There’s really no reason to mess up another teams schedule. If they have to reschedule any game i think it will be this Bills/Browns game. and if it can’t be played by 1pm or by Sunday night they will find a way to fit it in another week. Hopefully all the players can get safely out of their homes and to the airport and avoid all this. but what about equipment trucks, etc?

FWIW the Buffalo airport is open and a couple Delta flights landed and departed this evening. If these guys can get to the airport it shouldn’t be a big deal to leave on time.

I guess a bunch of us knew better than Beane and McD to get outta there yesterday after the announcement. Oh well, can’t change it. I’ll be amazed if all these players and staff can get out tomorrow. And i agree the game will probably have to be moved to Sunday night. Maybe the compressed week will force the Bills to hunker down in Detroit until Thursday. It’s bad enough they literally aren’t practicing leading up to this Cleveland game. What a mess.

I hear ya. Hopefully that happens. But it’s just dumb. We all know that once the snow machine started last night, all the guys who live near Hamburg and Orchard Park would have a helluva time getting out, to a practice much less the airport. The moment the game was moved to Detroit (and i’m sure Beane and McD knew an hour or two before the media)…they should have mobilized the team and gotten them the hell out of there.. as we mentioned either bus to Rochester or to Detroit on the spot. Then have the equipment guys and whoever else figure out the rest of the logistics. They still might get to Detroit tomorrow late afternoon (i’ll believe it when i see it)…but it’s going to be a huge effort to round up all the players, coaches and staff. Didn’t have to be. So i guess Zoom practices will have to suffice

So maybe no practices Wednesday, Friday and Saturday?! That’s just wonderful before a big game.

I recall Pittsburgh flying out the same day of a game during the Covid wackiness. But it was a night game at KC. Huge difference from flying out the morning of a 1pm game. They would have to move the starting time.
