  1. Wow, you mean TD's HUGE EGO isn't getting in the way of bringing in linemen? Some here might find that hard to believe!
  2. Wow, you hope it's hot so that Kerry sweats. Who needs tonight's debate when we have the PPP board? Another truly stimulating thread from our fellow Bills fans on the right of right.
  3. Not 'whatever - he's not a great player', 'whatever - we had other needs and were not in position to take a safety at #4'. Last time I checked, the defense was not the problem on this team, even without a stud SS like Roy Williams. Pro Bowls are impressive, but not that impressive - after all, Ruben Brown went to 8 or 9 of them.
  4. We had more of a need for an OT than we did for a safety. Even in hindsight, Safety has not been the problem with this team (with the possible exception of backup Coy Wire in coverage during these first two games). Mike Williams was a pick that nearly everybody and their grandmother was happy with at the time - he was considered by most to be a can't miss prospect. Roy Williams would have been a luxury pick along the lines of Willis McGahee and TD would have been ripped for not fortifying the O-Line. We would have heard "TD and his ego would not allow him to take a lineman so high" or some similar BS that typically spews from the mouths of the Buffalo faithful who think they "are in the know". Whatever.
  5. As a result of several suggestions in this thread, I rented and watched "21 Grams" last night. What a great movie - depressing, yet powerful. Highly recommended.
  6. I'm sure this is considered by some to be a bit mainstream, but "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is a somewhat twisted classic. http://imdb.com/title/tt0120669/
  7. What a bunch of whiney little bitches you all are! They answer the tough questions and now you're complaining that they didn't bash themselves enough in answering!?!? WTF! I've seen many get much more bent out of shape when somebody attacks one of your lame posts. All Bills fans want to do is complain. I think these guys showed a lot of balls in tackling these questions. Don't forget, we're 8 points away from a 2-0 record with a 1st year head coach in a new offenseive system. Fire away idiots!
  8. Nobody's mentioned "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead". Andy Garcia and Christopher Walken are both very good in this movie. http://imdb.com/title/tt0114660/ I'd also like to second "The Big Lebowski" (of course) and "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind".
  9. Personally, I don't want to own the "first model" anyway. Give them a year or two to work out the bugs and for the competition to make similar products. The end product will be better and the price will be drastically less. Regular SD Tivos used to cost a hell of a lot more than they do today - now they cost next to nothing. A nice option for checking out HD is to get a cheap ($100-$150) HD OTA receiver and a $25 antenna. I just did and the picture quality is amazing! Plus there's no subscription necessary or additional DirecTV costs. In Rochester we now get ABC, FOX, NBC, and PBS. Sadly, CBS is lagging behind in Rochester, so no HD Bills games. Buffalo has CBS already, though.
  10. In reality, Henry should have punched it in more conclusively. I know that's easy for me to say, but he slipped and lost his footing on what should have been an obvious touchdown. Hindsight being 20/20, Mularkey should have challenged, but it didn't seem all that clear-cut to me when it happened (or even now). I may be wrong, but I think the offense burned 1 or 2 of our 2nd half timeouts before this play and fear of a lack of timeouts going into the stretch might have influenced Mularkey's decision.
  11. Uh, it was Letterman's Top 10 List (it's supposed to be funny). Lighten up, Francis!
  12. There were several points in the 4th quarter when this game should have been put away. That was the first. Clements should have broken up that pass on 4th & 14, Fletcher shouldn't have booted that ball, etc... I'm having a hard time blaming the offensive line when they really played far better than most expected.
  13. What do you think, dominant DEs grow on trees? How many teams in today's NFL have a game-breaking DE on the roster? The Patsies don't and they've won 2 of 3 SBs. We have 3 good-very good DEs and a Bruce Smith type player isn't likely to fall into our laps any time soon. Lindell isn't good, but at least his kickoffs are deeper than they were last year. This team led all game - right up till the last play. We got screwed in typical Bills fasion. Maybe this will use up some bad karma and we won't see another wide right/forward lateral anytime soon.
  14. So you're saying that Brady is a better quarterback than Manning? Did Golic hit a nerve? Manning envy?
  15. It's a different thing when you're talking about the quarterback. He is the leader, while the RB is a more of a workhorse. All these two have to do is run the ball and score touchdowns. Honestly, being pissed off will probably make them both play better and competition is never a bad thing. Maybe the media is doing us a favor.
  16. The words Limbaugh and balance should not be uttered in the same breath. He is a fat, drug-abusing hypocrite who preaches moral conservative values, but can't even come close to living his own life in a morally acceptable manner. His talk show has degenerated into non stop name-calling that most kindergarteners would find childish. He has mastered the art of implying things about others without actually leaving himself open to libel. He is manipulating the unintelligent masses with his tripe strictly for his own financial gain and has been doing it for years. He cannot possibly be as ignorant as he appears - he says things that are extremely controversial just for the ratings. He is everything you people say about Michael Moore and then some.
  17. Well, I'm a Windows programmer (I'm sure some here don't approve ), so I don't think we should crucify activex completely. But then again microsoft is the ugly giant that everyone wants a piece of and all the kiddies are writing scripts to attack.
  18. I just installed Firefox for the first time and it's sweet! It imported bookmarks and settings from IE and the tabbed pages are great. What else does it do? What does IE do that Firefox cannot (scripting, activex, plugins)?
  19. Thanks for killing the good OL karma, coach!
  20. What makes you think either of these players wants to sign now? Wouldn't you wait for the big pay day at the end of the season if you were in their position? If I recall correctly, TD tried to work deals for both of these guys in the offseason and neither wanted to extend.
