  1. Yes, it was nominated for the acedemy awards short story category.
  2. Well, I'm sure she had plenty of Origamis on the wedding night, provided he studied his extensive film collection.
  3. So now we know where the term "batting cleanup" came from.
  4. Everyone has an opinion, but if you could see what the poor table went through it is sad. As a young table, it was happy to frolic with the children, play games and be part of the family. In its formative years, it was a sturdy, useful piece of furniture that served the family well. After the defendant corrupted the poor thing it spent its later years broken down and nothing more than a used up attention starved piece of furniture. Sad to see what had been a wonderfully useful table has gone on to be a two bit "whore-table" that takes on all comers. I think the sentence is too light after see the havoc this man has done to that poor, innocent table.
  5. Darin would have fired a few warning shots, and certainly wouldn't have been taken alive.....
  6. Well written, quite a few gems, personally I liked the ending: "Every team generally takes its cues from the head coach, and while Belechik has been very successful at winning games, he has also been very successful at alienating his franchise from everyone else in football. Looking back on all the other dynasties in pro football, I cannot think of another one that has been more reviled league and nationwide than the Patriots. It’s not because they win; it’s how they win, and how they seemed to behave as world-beaters even though their margin of victory in championship games was smaller than Belichik’s dick."
  7. I loved him at UK. I saw his last bowl game and was amazed when it went to a few overtimes, the guy could play well at that level, I saw a blitzing FS lierally bounce off him like a kid on a play. Hey it may not be popular with the Hamden fan club, but I'd take a look-see.
  8. Happy Birthday to all, have a great day!
  9. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, follow the docs orders and hope to hear soon that you are on the mend.
  10. One of the first pictures I saw Friday when the reports started coming out was him with his Bills jersey on, and one of the first things I thought of was what a way to honor the guy. I am already having my "22" made up with the Russert nameplate, I never have to worry about a hold out, a trade and it honors a true Buffalonian.
  11. But isnt that how we all act? Amazing that TR was just like all of us, and I think thats why we all will miss him
  12. That one just got me choked up, I called my Dad who is in Buffalo to tell him what happened, he had already heard, he reminded me I gave him a signed copy of Russerts' book for fathers day a few years ago, What a loss for our little community. He will be missed
  13. He makes us ST Joes grads even more proud. I graduated in 78 with him, nice guy, pretty decent at sports, but not really a speaker that I recall, kinda quiet in class.
  14. Dwight and Angela in a nekid liplock in the office when Phylis went to drop off the leftover party favors (not that I was paying attention)
  15. I just got back from there, stayed at the Sheraton Suites right up the road from you. I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza, since its so close to the office, but I like the mall near the Sheraton. Try the chinese resturant right across the street from the Crowne, above Wendys, a quick walk across the parking lot.
  16. We did the Lending tree thing a few years back. The best rate came from an online company, it was great for a while, but ALL of their transactions/correspondence/payment communications was online. there wasn't even a phone contact for a human. I finally closed it out and refinanced with another bank it had gotten so confusing. I will admit, Lending tree did do a great job of locating the competetive offers, I just picked the wrong one...
  17. I have created my own shadow box frames for my Kelly, Thomas and Reed jerseys. Actually pretty simple stuff, but I don't have the matting down yet. I am hoping my son who is good at that stuff will be able to finish them off. Otherwise KRC's route may be the best, I have seen a vast array of stuff at the memorabilia shops that are well done. You may also consider checking with some of the local art schools in your area for matting suggestions and framing options.
