  1. We really need a Batman beacon for Tim Graham.
  2. Tony Scheffler Owen Daniels Age: 26 26 Size: 6'5, 250 6'3, 247 Recs: 107 167 Yards: 1480 1982 TDs: 12 10 The difference doesn't look that great to me. Also, Daniels has played in four more games than Scheffler.
  3. Well, he asked for his release after the coaching change, and the Tannenbaum is still in place. I don't seen him going back to the Jets. Lori, what do you think of bringing in Coles? Good move or bad?
  4. Greer has visited Detroit and will visit Tampa. Nothing on Crowell, though.
  5. I've been wondering about this. I think it may just be too much to ask of a player to do in his first year, but is possible down the road. I've put out questions to Chris Brown and Tim Graham. I'll let you know if they get back to me. Bill in NYC, what would you think of a mid-round pick for Kellen Winslow?
  6. General sentiment of the board: when a TV draft expert's projections are in line with everyone else's, he's stealing their material and parroting what he reads on websites. When his projections differ from everyone else's, he must be smoking something illegal.
  7. Why do you think he named the Cowboys and not the three other teams?
  8. That's quite different than Peppers to be franchised, isn't it?
  9. Umm, it doesn't say that.
  10. I remember that Kiper's Mock before the trade (we made the trade at the beginning of free agency, so this was February) had us taking Takeo Spikes.
  11. On Big Tree or Abbott?
  12. I've renewed already online. You can do it on ticketmaster.
  13. 1. We're not talking about first-round WRs. We're talking about indisputably the top-ranked WR. You know, like Larry Fitzgerald or Calvin Johnson. 2. If you draft a center worthy of the 2nd round in the 1st, does that increase his chances of success?
  14. My problem with this is that 11 would be the highest a center has ever been drafted. And that would be okay if the guy was as close to a sure thing as can be. But he's not even universally thought of as the top at his position. Mayock has him 3rd among centers. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Compare that to the unanimity around Crabtree as the best receiver in the draft, and it seems to risky.
  15. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?position...positionId%3d31 http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?position...positionId%3d30 http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?position...fpositionId%3d4 http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?position...fpositionId%3d7 The grade and the comment columns are insider. Thanks for the help.
  16. Don't need a copy and paste, but can someone summarize who they have at key positions behind Haynesworth, Peppers, etc.?
  17. John (NY): In case Farve doesnt come back next year, whats ur take on Clemons getting the start? Or should they look for someone else in the draft? SportsNation KC Joyner: (4:57 PM ET ) Max Kellerman asked me this very question on ESPN Radio NYC a couple of weeks ago and my take then was the Jets should take a hard look at JP Losman. Losman's metrics have been great and he's a fiery guy who could rally the offense around him if given the chance. I'd take him over Clemens any day of the week. Joyner's never wavered in his support for JP.
  18. To paraphrase Bill Simmons, somewhere right now, there's a ten-year-old Yankee fan wondering if he'll ever see his team win the World Series. I have a good friend from Pittsburgh who was born in 1980. By 2005, after watching his team lose four conference championship games at home, he was having a rough time.
  19. I think confirm was just a poor word choice.
  20. The booth doesn't call for a review based on live action. They see a replay, and based on that, they decide to buzz down for an on-field review.
  21. It's not just the salaries. It's a combination of the salaries and the draft chart. You can't tell me most teams would swap picks straight-up to move up in the draft, i.e. the Bills flipping picks with the Seahawks. The problem is the chart is outdated, and no GM wants to be the first one to try and fix it.
  22. Statistically, this year was the best. By the quality of competition, 2006 was the best. Due to all the injuries, I'd have to say 2007 was the best. So, does anyone think if Mularkey would've gotten a third year in his program, he could have taken the Bills to the playoffs?
  23. You're just absolutely, completely wrong. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/200...-yardage-r.html
  24. So, over the past four seasons, he has averaged 165 yards a season more than Robert Royal, who we can all agree sucks, and has actually caught one fewer TD passes. Yet, he is universally seen as the top TE on the open market, and any team needing one will have him at the top of their lists. A bidding war will ensue. That's why I want to know, what has he proven, and what is that worth?
  25. What's he proven, and what's that worth?
