  1. No more so than tweeting by anyone else.
  2. Even if that's true, that doesn't say much for his non-statistical analysis, such as the financial state of the franchise, the reason for hiring Chan Gailey over Marty (TG swore up and down Marty called begging to come here). It also says nothing about the odds of Steve Johnson panning out based on his play. Yes, the Bills' metrics might not have been very good - probably in line with their 6-10 record. So what does this article add?
  3. Nelson's been OK. He has about 700 yards in two years. Royal had a good rookie season but didn't do much last year. Donnie Avery has actually been pretty decent for a really awful team. Jerome Simpson, Limas Sweed, and Dexter Jackson have been even worse than Hardy.
  4. I think the system actually worked pretty well here. 1. Legislature makes well-intentioned, but flawed, law. 2. Public outcry to overreach of flawed law. 3. High-ranking executive exercises discretion to modify law.
  5. Isn't Louisville the Cardinals? Edit: okay, I see you included Brohm in your post.
  6. I knew his brother at Ramapo. I didn't know anyone who liked his brother, but that's a different issue.
  7. Just so everyone's clear, in 14 of 16 games, the Bills were within one score at some point in the 4th Quarter.
  8. I think that's the big wildcard right now, and of course, that depends on how Michigan does this year. So, if you want Luck, root against the Wolverines.
  9. Right next to where it says the Hawks didn't have a third round pick.
  10. http://www.sonsofstevegarvey.com/2010/06/v...morial-day.html I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for. Someone in the comments there is looking for the same thing, tho.
  11. If he possessed the gun illegally, then I would hope he does get prosecuted - he broke the law. There are legal ways to possess a gun, and he should use one of those. If he didn't, then why shouldn't he be prosecuted? And if you don't like living in a location with strict laws on gun ownership, then you can always move. I can't believe you think this would help. Yeah, there's a chance that having a gun would have prevented the carjacking. It's also far more likely that it would have turned into a shootout. I'd rather lose my car than risk my life. BTW, same thing with the Chicago story. Yeah, the burglar might have harmed them, but he probably wouldn't have - the vast majority of burglaries don't involve violence.
  12. Damn. I'm not too far from those parts. I found a place just north of UAA. Is it just crappy homes or safety too?
  13. Hey Jim, I'm moving to Anchorage for the summer. Any advice?
  14. Isn't this the same as saying no agreement has been reached? Because if they did receive an offer that would prompt them to move Gaither, then they would have. It doesn't mean an agreement won't be reached.
  15. It parrots Allen Wilson's speculation this morning.
  16. Didn't get to listen, but was anything interesting said about Gaither? Any news?
  17. What about the fact that he never had any time behind the line? Can we give you that "BS"?
  18. I don't think we should let facts get in the way of a good, old-fashion lynching.
  19. The three stories the NY Times lists on its front page under the Sports heading are: A semi-confession in the Virginia murder by a lacrosse player CBS might sell the rights to the tournament to ESPN The recovery of an injured snowboarder To me, none of those stories are about sports. Granted, the third one is the closest. But the first one is about a murder by one person who plays a sport of another person who plays a sport. The second one is about a TV deal. I know, if I want sports coverage I shouldn't be going to the NY Times. Still, it seems like ESPN and, worse, Sports Illustrated are just as bad about this. One of the few outlets that I think actually covers "sports" in its sports section is the Buffalo News.
  20. It's shocking how little national attention this is getting.
  21. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/04/30/fan-friday-4-30/ Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but if Chris Brown is saying that the Bills may make a move for a new LT after an assessment of the players at minicamp, and Bell is expected to be the starter, then doesn't it follow Bell will be there practicing? Either that, or Bell isn't expected to start, and they'll make a decision based on how others perform...
  22. In solidarity with Steve, and as protest against AVP, I say we spell Buffalo with a w for the rest of the day.
