  1. It is beginning to look like LT is as big a need as DE. I would love to have one of each after the 1st 2 rds. It doesn't look like they are going to sign Bell back and It also doesn't look like there is a suitable replacement in free agency(Gaither maybe?).. Even if they plan on starting Hairston at LT, there is no depth. What do you guys think about Rief, Martin, Adams, and Sanders? To me, they all seem like top notch OT prospects who can at least be the swing tackle this season. I think that Kahlil and Martin come in and start right away. Reif and Adams have a chance to start yr 1 and probably would. Sanders is probably the guy if they wait to rd 2 and he is raw as LT. My guess is that there will be a 4th or 5th rd OT taken no matter what, even if they draft OT rd 1 or 2... Anyone know who that might end up being? I like James Brown from Troy and Josh Oglesby from Wisconsin but who knows if they last
  2. Time to sign urbik long term...
  3. my top 5 would be Andrew Luck Robert G3 Justin Blackmon michael floyd Kalil
  4. I would bet that Merriman if healthy will be the starting RDE with Kelsay the starting LDE. I know it is a stretch but If Merriman, Williams, Dareus, and Kelsay all stay healthy- It could be a pretty decent front 4. Now for me the real questions are: Is Dwan Edwards worth keeping as a penetrating 2 gap DT? Answer: Yes, unless they feel that Carrington is better fit at DT than DE. Next question is Carrington a DE or DT? Answer: I believe he has a good enough burst to play DE and with the fact that Buffalo insisted on lining him up as OLB, I would say he is now looked at as a DE, also Edwards and Carrington give the line a nice look in a BIG front or goaline at DE. Next Question I have is will Spencer Johnson be worth keeping? Answer: Yes, Until they have the luxury of drafting another DT which I don't believe will happen this year, We are looking at Williams, Dareus, Edwards, Johnson, and Troupe at DT. It should be a very strong point of this team, perhaps the best rotation in the league, Heard may beat one of those guys out. Next question I raise is how we stack up at 4-3 DE as a whole? Well Merriman could be the answer, and I have a feeling he will be a great RDE if he recovers. Kelsay is aging and at best is a great swing backup DE that can play both sides, more than likely for lack of a better option he will be starting again and I see that as a weak spot although if it was our weakest spot that is ok. Carrington ideally would progress into the starting LDE role this season and I really hope he does. I say he does by the end of the season, and this will be Kelsays last year here. I see Moats as a tweener but he lands on the roster as a pass rush specialist at DE. Batten is done, As of now he looks like the 5th DE but there will def be someone brought in to compete for a starting position and/or backup injury prone Merriman. On to the LB position. Well, Chan said Shep is the Mike so that is that. Barnett is too good to sit and he fits on either side in a 4-3. Originally, I thought he is weak side, but either or is fine with Barnett. He will be an every down player for sure. Expect Sheppard to really take a jump and be a force in the middle, White will back him up and he fits the bill as a middle backer in 4-3, although I could see bringing Morrison back as I feel he is better suited to play 4-3 mike. Buddy will Need to bring in at least 3 OLB and that is mandatory. I would not bring back Scott. He is not the solution. It won't be hard or expensive to get 1 4-3 OLB to start in free agency. Who? I don't have any idea. But It doesn't seem hard to figure out that the biggest need no matter what defense we ran was going to be OLB. So, Now we don't need to get the best pash rushing OLB anymore and that is a good thing because there seems to be too much competition out there for those guys and the top guys are going to cost a fortune, where the top 4-3 LB will be reasonable. It puts us more in the game come Free Agency. Now If Merriman is not going to be on the team, DE is just as big a need as OLB, and with Merrimans history, a lot of you will feel justified in saying that DE is the biggest need now, and I agree with that stance, but the optimistic thing to do is hope he recovers cause he is good when healthy. The secondary doesn't change but I do feel that we have a great secondary for a 4-3 alignment. Byrd and Wilson have very good ball skills and are sure enough tacklers to play any type of defense but it is worth noting that Byrd had his most impressive season in a 4-3. I personally think Wilson is very Good and Searcy will be a great backup to both of them. Williams and Florence form a tough physical duo at CB next year and Rogers and McKelvin will be fine at nickel and dime. With the Lineup looking like Florence, Byrd, Wilson, and Williams- they could be one of the largest most physical secondaries in the league as well. McGee is done, he has no bonus and costs 6 million per season. He is done. There will be at least 1 CB and 1 Safety drafted along with 2 OLB, and at least 1 DE. They will have at least 10 selections in the draft this year with the comp pick(s) from losing Poz and Whitner. We already have 9 due to baltimore trading us a 4th and Seattle trading a conditional 6th or 5th. So in my opinion, it is a wise decision to switch to a 4-3 based on who is on the team. Merriman fits the bill just fine at RDE, our DT rotation will be amazing, Kelsay is at least adequate if Carrington doesn't progress to start, & they need another guy drafted high(rd 1-3) to compete and insure against another Merriman injury. The pressure generated from Dareus and Williams should be enough to free up our DE to be in one on one scenarios. OLB is a mess, but now at least it is affordable and likely that we can get a good starter with experience to come in right away and make an impact. I expect a couple mid rd picks to add to the LB core, and most likely they will be OLB. The secondary is in great shape and will benefit from the draft as usual. I expect a early to mid rd pick(2-4) will be made on CB, and a late rd selection of a safety with speed and ball skills will be made as well. For some reason, safety is a position that lasts in the NFL draft. The defense should improve vastly! All they need to do is continue to draft well and add a starting OLB through free agency...
  5. I couldn't agree more, You are spot on. He is no Bills fan thats for sure!!!
  6. MULTIPLE SCORGASMS SHOW ME YOUR TD'S are my current team names...
  7. Yeah i got my superman suit from there too! thanks!
  8. I think its funny that you take offense to what I wrote, it def means you believe that you are not a real fan... Go post on the raiders website troll, we all know what you want... That's what you don't understand about life bro, 12 weeks from now, it doesn't matter how I felt right now.. And If I'm wrong, who cares? I will be ENJOYING the ride either way bro... Week 13, are you gonna be a better man if all your negative crap comes true. No, you are still the same old negative nancy either way... you will never run out of things to compain about. Until you change yourself
  9. This feels so good, I'm so happy! Congrats to all you REAL FANS out there! Its such a great feeling coming to my favorite team's BEST message board and not having a bunch of losers pissing and moaning about how bad the bills are, have been, and are going to be... The Ralph is the problem guys, the Fitz isn't Brady people, The O-line compainers- The sun will never shine for these people, and their problem has nothing to do with the bills. What i see here is just a reflection of how pathetic their attitudes are about life. Its not limited to the bills, they won't admit it, cause they feel that everything is happening to them. But the truth is that they are the only one to blame for their attitude and terrible outlook on life... I do understand that message boards are for expressing our opinions and most of the time when we are using opinions, they aren't necessarily the truth, but more of a point of view.. But most of the time, the point of view around Bills country has been an embarrassment to the actual fans. We used to run the trolls out of town, now the trolls have 10,000+ posts... A real fan of a team supports them through the bad times and is not so worried about being wrong. A real fan buys tickets when possible, good or bad. A real fan gets sunday ticket and eats cheap if that's what it takes. A real fan comes on this board and spits at the negative nancys and debbie downers. Most of you guys are REAL FANS! Thank you for saying I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!! Now lets go win them all, I bet on the bills to win the superbowl. If they do I win 10,000.00! it only cost 62.23 to win 10,000. Yeah, most people think that the Bills are not good. But as a FAN, you gotta billeave! I have season tickets since 88, through the thick and thin! I have sunday ticket! I Billeave in this team, we need the old fans back! Or just go home and pick a new team... No more room for you losers around here, at least this week. Go flame on or jump on the train! We are going on a one way destination, and its not to loserville this time. Only an egomaniac could be worried about being wrong about something that feels so good! LETS GO BILLS!
  10. http://www.kffl.com/static/nfl/features/freeagents/fa.php?option=OL&y=2011 here is a list of some of the available free agent OL. Some former pro bowl players should be easy to fit under the cap, even in a backup role for a while
  11. In my opinion, they bills should trade lee evans. Lee is a decent deep threat and a team leader and I have enjoyed watching him catch the long ball over the years, but he is on the down side of his career. This offense doesn't utilize a fly pattern on every snap and lee hasn't shown much when running underneath routes. Personally, I like David Nelson in Evan's spot. Nelson seems more reliable to me. Parrish should be a pretty decent threat out of the slot, and Jones has been the talk of camp from a number of people.. Peter King said he is a fantasy football sleeper, Fitz just said that Jones is going to be a huge part of the offense, and Nix being interviewed on sirius raved about his athletic ability... This board including myself really likes Easley, he and Craig Davis have Evans type of speed if you need to stretch it out some. If they can get depth on the O-line, a TE, or a 3rd or 4th rd pick, then I would be pretty happy. If they keep him, I would be pretty happy. I think it is a good idea to roll with the young guys. I think it is a good idea to keep your vets.. Go Bills!
  12. There are a bunch of losers on this board who only see negativity no matter what they do. It doesn't make a difference whether its the bills, work, family, blah blah blah, they are pessimistic no matter what and they are too underdeveloped mentally to admit their shortcomings in those areas. If you aren't optimistic this time of year, then you have no business calling yourself a fan of that team. Get a life
  13. Bengals board is pretty optimistic, i like it... wish we had some of that around here sometimes.. Good pickup for them, whitner is physical and that is a very physical division. He will help them out. I also can't hardly wait to see the figures
  14. Who we are as a person is reflected in every aspect of our lives... It can be observed through the likes of these message boards, emails, facebook posts, tweets, daily conversations, real life interactions, what kind of worker or work environment you provide, how you drive your car, your family life, and so many more.. But nothing shows what kind of person you are better than how you look at the world, and the only person who can judge that is you personally.. Are you the type of person who finds faults with everything? Do you wish things are different than they are? Or are you generally optimistic? Can you look at the free agents available and make solid points to sign a guy without getting so emotionally attached to your genius decision that you get all upset with the whole organization for not seeing what you see? Can You look at Merriman with a big smile and hope? Can you see how good the D-line could be as is? Do you see an upgrade with the guys we have, only because of a year in the system? Do you believe in Nix, Gailey, and Wanny? Do you see that there are 2 3rd rd picks battling it out at RG? Do you look at Fitzpatricks numbers and compare them to brees and hope the progression is the same? Do you look at Spiller as the ultimate weapon? Do you believe in Stevie Johnson? Do you think that Wilson will make us forget Whitner? Do you see our great depth in the secondary? Do you see the money that is available to keep this thing together? Are you a true Bills fan? Optimistic about the team.. Or are you in more need of some personal growth than a message board to sound off all of your negative nonsensical opinions? Blabbing out all kinds of awful anti Bills rants, calling yourself factual??? Do you torment yourself by looking at next years QBs? Are you crying over Pos? Are you still hung up on Maybins innefectiveness? Are you constantly in need of the next big signing to be happy? Do you feel like you could honestly do a better job than Nix? All I'm saying here is the only person who can really ask themselves what kind of fan you are, is YOU! I personally am optimistic all of the time! And I don't write very much around here any more... Its just so negative all the time here. I BILLIEVE! I DO! EVERY DAY, I BILLIEVE, I USED TO BILLIEVE IN YOU! I havent given up, and the best news about all of my rant is that we change every second of every day, and if you want to change you can, I do still billieve in that and you for that matter... GO Bills! I love the new CBA, and am feeling very very optimistic about this season?
  15. Great Deal for the Bills! I am loving the new CBA
  16. Orton in buffalo would be the best move I can possibly think of.. The guy is just as good as Fitz, he is smart, accurate, and has played backup enough in his career to not have an huge Ego problem if he were to get traded here to back up Fitz and protect this team from another 4-12 season. Levi Brown or Orton? Its a joke. Thigpen or Orton? Even funnier, I'd rather have Brown than thigpen. Gradkowski is interesting to me. Orton, YES! I am not totally convinced that Fitz is the guy yet and if you feel any different than why hasn't Buffalo paid him? Think about it... How much would a 5 year deal cost Buffalo right now? How about after this season if he throws 3500 yds and 20 td? If Buffalo believes he is the guy, he will get a contract by week 6 guaranteed.. Until then, I will take any QB out there that has shown the ability to play a pro style offense in the nfl, especially considering he would be a backup for now.
  17. not odd at all, we start topics to talk about stuff, if nobody bites then try harder... which he did
  18. I totally see what you are saying but before the bills start worrying about depth, they should first try to get competitive at most positions.. Just an opinion, obviously pobody's nerfect, or write on these matters:)
  19. I get the feeling that the NFLPA is delaying the process that would open up free agency. My thoughts are that the players know that they can ask for double the salaries they would have been offered once teams are desperate. At first I thought that they want to be employed asap. But watching this DeMaurice Smith and the state of affairs. Its obvious to me that they are going to rape the NFL owners at all costs.. This is a sound plan, and it will work. Thus further reducing Buffalo's chances of landing a suitable replacement for one of our numerous holes still there, post draft... I know It's a waste wanting things to be different, but every day free agency remains closed, is another dark day for the Buffalo Bills frachise, and its looking better for the Jerry Jones' and Daniel Snyders of the NFL. Lets hope that Buddy aquires more picks and fills the big holes- DE, OT, QB, ILB, TE, OLB, CB, SS
