  2. OK here is my attempt at it.. Original Post pretty darn good I think, but I see some differences that I gotta fix. Time will tell, gotta make this 53 guys i guess: QB (3): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Brad Smith RB (3): Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Johnny White or Tashard Choice FB (1): Corey McIntyre WR (6): Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, TJ Graham, Derek Hagan, Marcus Easley TE (2): Scott Chandler, Mike Caussin or Fendi Onobun OT (4): Chris Hairston, Erik Pears, Cordy Glenn, Zebrie Sanders OG (4): Andy Levitre, Chad Rinehart, Kraig Urbik, Mark Asper or Michael Jasper OC (1): Eric Wood -- DE (4): Mario Williams, Shawne Merriman, Mark Anderson, Chris Kelsay DT (5): Marcel Dareus, Kyle Williams, Dwan Edwards, Torrell Troup, Alex Carrington (basically doubles as 5th DT and 5th DE) OLB (4): Nick Barnett, Kirk Morrison, Nigel Bradham, Tank Carder ILB (2): Kelvin Sheppard, Chris White CB (7): Aaron Williams, Stephon Gilmore, Terrence McGee, Drayton Florence, Leodis McKelvin, Ron Brooks, Justin Rogers, S (4): Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Da'Norris Searcy, Bryan Scott -- ST (3): Rian Lindell, Brian Moorman, Garrison Sanborn ---------------------- Ok This keeps our best 53, we have the money. Why not just keep our best 53?
  3. Safe to say Bills weren't gonna take Wolf
  4. really hoping bills have a good tackle to draft. No matter what there is going to be some great players remaining tonight
  5. i agree, he is a good fit for a 3/4 end. i think he doesn't have the pass rush ability of a true 4/3 end. He is a good interior player and should be pretty decent at DE in a 3/4
  6. He is certainly a top 5 SS in my eyes. Name 5 you would rather have
  7. its been my opinion that heard and troupe are less a fit in the 4-3 I'm not sure if you realize this but edwards played DT over johnson last year in 4 man fronts. It is because he is way better than johnson at DT
  8. Great post! i agree, i think it should prolly be keuchly
  9. http://predictpick.nfl.com/?icampaign=PTP_ROS Here is my top 10: 1 Andrew Luck 2 Robert G3 3 Justin Blackmon 4 Trent Richardson 5 Quintin Coples 6 Matt Kalil 7 Melvin Ingram 8 Ryan Tannehill 9 Morris Claiborne 10 Luke Kuechly Good luck everyone! how did you fill it out?
  10. While I would not like to see a reach for a qb, I will make a couple points that might make sense. maybe not. first off due to the salary restraints that the Bills now face, a project qb is more than likely the only way the team can realistically improve the overall talent of the position. I don't think that they are going to sign a free agent qb anytime soon. Anyone good enough to unseat Fitz is going to have to come through the draft. Secondly the Bills have 10 draft picks, it is conceivable that backup qb is a top 10 need on the team. SO it makes sense to draft for need to me, which is why i'm ok with a qb that is taken. Not that I like Trent Edwards, but he is a good example of a qb that seemed like he wasn't a reach when he was selected. I would be fine with something like that. I would rather have a young trent right now than thigpen. not the trent that suffered one too many hits to the head though. I don't like the idea of drafting a guy before he should be drafted though. But who really knows how all the teams felt about the player. If you really like a qb that you think is flying under the radar, you can be suckered into reaching for them cause you know that all it takes is one other team interested... Its got to be the most important position on the team. If I were GM I would have a secret philosophy to draft a qb every single season until I coulnd't fit another good one on the team. I think that Belicheck would agree, man I hate him though. One more point, if the rookie qb is better than Thigpen, he could save the team 2-3 million per year. It might be the difference between signing byrd and/or levitre back,,
  11. Please check me out. I plan on doing football as well. http://www.expertfantasyrankings.com/
  12. I wish the mods would read the posts through before they merge topics.. This really has nothing to do with this Topics original posters analysis. Might as well just clump everything together... On my day off, I must have spent 40 minutes creating this topic and it gets lumped into this post? I actually was enjoying the conversation it was generating, but now it disappears. In the original post, besides QB, TE, and RB I have posted nothing to do with the top player at each position. This new topic it is now found in has nothing to do with who gets cut, but is about who he thinks is going to start... My topic was labeled A LOOK AT THE ENTIRE ROSTER, who stays, who goes, and why... Which is an analysis of WHO GETS CUT. The subject it is now under is Who Starts?? I post here about 10 days a year because the mods are doing such a horrible job. It's even difficult to troll these days. Its sad cause I actually research things through and create in depth articles almost every time I have EVER posted a subject.. Agree or disagree with what I write.. I'm done with it, back to trolling. I'll post my stuff on other message boards. I'm not trying to be a whiner, its just that if you don't speak how you feel then nothing ever changes.. Just read the posts in full before you lump subjects together that shouldn't be lumped. It happens here every single day... For the record this is the first time I have ever complained but have felt this way so many times...
  13. So you think that Kelsay, Edwards, and Johnson get cut then? Interesting.. How many LB do you think that they keep?
  14. I agree with what you said about Edwards and Johnson, if you just switched Johnson and Edwards around... There is no incentive to keep Spencer in my opinion, they make almost the same amount of money, play exactly the same position, Spencer only has one year left and less of a cap hit if cut, and Dwan is just SO much better of a player, Spencer and Dwan are the same size but Spencer NEVER pushed Dwan for playing time as far as I could see. Dwan played DT in most of our 4 man pass rushing fronts last year, not Johnson... I also see no reason to have positional limits on money spent, and I also would rather not have players like Derek Hagan on the team if it means we have to cut someone who will instantly get picked up and paid more than he was making here, like Edwards would. If I were GM, I would keep all of the best players as long as the team is under the cap and only worry about cutting guys after they have been replaced by better players. I am a total non-believer in cutting players just to create cap room, or because I think that there is too much money tied into one area. It makes sense to cut players once you replace them with someone better.. Unless you are on the cusp of signing someone and need room... As of right now the best D lineman on the team are- in order if healthy: Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams, Shawn Merriman, Mark Anderson, Chris Kelsay, Dwan Edwards, Alex Carrington, Kellan Heard, and then either Torell Troupe or Spencer Johnson. Unless they add a guy, it is more than likely nobody else. The fact that Merriman and Scott can also play LB might allow them to keep between 9-11 D- lineman... I figure they will keep a couple more Lineman and a couple less LB this season.
  15. Why do you think that there will only be 4 DT? I assume there will without any doubt be 5. I wish I had as much faith in Troup as you. I see Edwards as LIGHTYEARS ahead of all of the other guys...
  16. I disagree, why would they cut him? Perhaps over Spencer Johnson? Dwan started over him at DE, he provides great depth across the entire front 4. When they were in a 4 man front he was lined up next to dareus. He does all the dirty stuff very well and he should be an axcellent 3 technique DT. The way I see things, he is not even in the conversation other than on this board for some reason.. It doesn't make sense to me. If they didn't have Johnson to cut, and they had someone better than Edwards, I might think that they could possibly for some unknown reason keep Troupe or Heard over him but I don't see that happening... This team is building it up through the D-line and Edwards is under contract through 2013. Please make sense of this statement I see from so many posters??? What I meant was that I think they need a guy to start. Consider Stevie what you want, I said the whole time that He was our #1 while Lee did nothing but some people called Lee the #1. Bottom Line is the starters are considered the #1/#2 guys, and I think that they could use someone to start and I love the depth... I'd like to see Moats make it, I like him. I just don't see a fit at OLB and no room at DE
