I don't care much for BillsDaily. That said, we drafted 2 CBs probably specifically for ST, which consistently rank #1 in the league. Loved our first 5 picks once I realized Byrd was drafted to play FS. Good draft.

Ok logicman, I pose a question to you then. How does a second tier Tackle improve our offense. I think it is clear there were 2 maybe 3 tackles that would come in and start instantly and perform at a high level. These were all gone by the time we picked. Exactly how does starting a rookie that is not considered top 5 in their class, which is in fact not a strong class, improve our offensive line. Did you watch a single game last year? Walker will be just fine at LT. Chambers/Butler, though not my first pick, are serviceable enough that we could solidify our pathetic inside line with arguably 2 of the top 3 guards in the draft. By the way, Walker gave up just 3 sacks last year, which Peters gave away more sacks than any other LT in the league last year with 11.5. Wait, no he tied for worst with Duane Brown.

I understand BillsFan's general premise here. I did hear Kugler say they might look at Levitre at RT, but only as a "fill in" if they needed him there. Nic Harris has already played LB, playing ILB for a bit because of injuries.

Do you actually watch the games or are you one of those keyboard warriors who looks at a stat sheet and spews nonsense on boards like this one? Whitner's tackle numbers are lower than they could be because he changes the direction of plays, forcing guys to make a cut and lose good running lanes. He has had to play nickel, FS and SS and we consistently move him up to the line to compensate for our weak D-line. Give him one year with a decent cast around him and watch his numbers. I'm sick and tired of hearing he was a reach at 8. He was the player we wanted, he moves around to whatever spot we need him in and he understands the concept of team defense. If he forces an inside run to the outside and someone else makes a tackle, guys like you aren't going to give him credit for doing his job, all you look at is the stat sheet at the end of the game.

That's an absolutely ridiculous comment. Whitner is a hell of a football player and his stats have suffered greatly because we have had to move him around so much to cover all our deficiencies on defense
