  1. Gilmore is great, but he gets hurt. I just don't see how he thinks he's worth top 5 CB money
  2. This guy is a joke anyway, watch the video documenting Tyrod's draft process, the agent is completely clueless. Yes, it's agent gonna agent behavior, but he's not a very good agent.
  3. Well I believe TT is a legitimate franchise QB and Kap is not a good QB, so no.
  4. The whole thing is weird
  5. Wonder what he's gonna do with his newfound time off ...
  6. I've been to Philly, I was not impressed
  7. Is there a reason this couldn't have gone in the MOCK DRAFT THREAD?
  8. Well, my screename is an indication that I went to Notre Dame, so it's slightly less arbitrary than yours, but that's neither here nor there. You're also not really looking at the fact that we're switching to a 3-4, which means we need a NT more than we need a replacement for Mario. We desperately need a sideline to sideline ILB to pair with Brown, who seemed lost last year. We can pick up a NT in the 3rd or 4th round in this draft. You really don't think we can fill need at LB and maybe find an upgrade at RT in the first 2 rounds of the draft? By your own admission the rest of what we require is depth.
  9. Well obviously you are a super impartial in your view of the team as indicated by your name. We did not lose a starting CB, our starting CBs are Darby, Gilmore and Robey. We cut loose 2 players who are better suited to play in a 4-3 defense and had bad years last year. Please explain how a draft that is deep in D-line talent and has some pretty good linebackers in the early rounds will leave us with a "wash." We now have 5 picks in the first 4 rounds, I'd be shocked if we aren't a better team next year than this past year.
  10. Can these be traded, or not til next year? I've seen it reported both ways
  11. using DraftTek 19: R1P19 DE SHAQ LAWSON CLEMSON 49: R2P18 OLB SU'A CRAVENS USC 80: R3P17 OLB JOSHUA PERRY OHIO STATE 118: R4P19 TE NICK VANNETT OHIO ST 156: R5P17 OT WILLIE BEAVERS WESTERN MICHIGAN 195: R6P17 K ROBERT AGUAYO FLORIDA ST
  12. Nah, he's in her thrall. That's what happens when a shy guy gets ensnared by a crazy chick
  13. There's no way they brought him in to start
  14. I'm actually pretty happy for the kid. He earned this payday coming in as a UDFA and working hard. Wish him the best against everyone but us.
  15. I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this. IMO we need a LB more than DL. Maybe people have lost interest in the offseason because we're not in the midst of a spending spree?
  16. +1. You need players that fit your system
  17. We signed him from Miami's practice squad several years ago. They never said it was last year
  18. I think the OP's question will be determined by our ability to get some better linebackers. Rex's system thrives when it has good linebacker play whereas Schwartz is geared more towards the D-line pressure. Our LBs are not up to snuff and I would rather have someone other than Brown calling the shots in the middle. IMO we need a NT and an ILB in the worst way.
  19. Watching position drills and I really like Rankins a lot
  20. I see what you did there with your handle, it's ironic right?
  21. I annoyed that we still have 1.75M in dead cap because of Chris freaking Williams, who is completely out of the NFL
  22. Sometimes you have to cut players you like when you're not getting a good ROI. McKelvin is out because Darby is awesome and $4M is way too much to pay a backup. Now hopefully we can re-sign Gilmore and keep our top 2 CBs as a solid tandem for years to come.
  23. I guess it depends on if you're a team guy or someone who likes to root for players. I'm a team guy so I don't really care if the guys are arrogant jerks or say stupid things. I draw the line at morons who are likely to be suspended, which hurts the team, or scumbags who I just don't want living in my community; Galette/Hardy are the latter. Some people want everyone to be a super-nice role model type person, I don't fall in that crowd. Incognito is a good example: bit of a meathead/douchebag and not someone you'd want to hang out with probably, but he's good on the field and doesn't seem like he would be a negative to have on the team as a whole.
