  1. Forget the fact that you're labelling Miller, who was not awful, a Miss after his ROOKIE season alone. This post puts things so far out of context it makes me question your ability to form a coherent thought. Here are our picks from last year's draft: 2-50: Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State 3-81: John Miller, OG, Louisville 5-155: Karlos Williams, RB, Florida State 6-188: Tony Steward, LB, Clemson 6-194: Nick O'Leary, TE, Florida State 7-234: Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas You actually have the gall to complain about getting 3 starters with our first 3 picks and then complaining that our two SIXTH round draft picks and a SEVENTH didn't become superstars? You have no sense, common or otherwise.
  2. Good story, we need LBs and it looks like Rex signed him at his lowest point, so it looks he'd be excited to be here
  3. That documentary floored me. That agent was so incompetent.
  4. What are you guys talking about, this agent is exceptional! He guided his quarterback to a Sixth round draft status and ... oh wait he's a moron.
  5. If we pick up a LB/DT combo in the draft that includes 2 of the darlings guys on this board fawn over I predict people will immediately switch to claiming we will win the division "now that Rex has the guys to run his defense". .. Couple of thoughts: 1 - It's all pretty pointless to speculate on until the season actually starts... but it's fun to argue about. 2 - I feel really good about Tyrod. Not because I am certain he is a franchise-QB, but because it feels better to go into an offseason having at least a competent QB than it did the last few years going into things hoping EJ would become a decent player against all visual evidence. Our last 2 starting QBs before Taylor were Kyle Orton and EJ Manuel, almost anything is better than that. 3 - We have done a bit to shore up our depth, but we still need 2 more LBers, one OLB and one ILB. 4 - We need at least 1 early round D-lineman. After Dareus we have an aging Williams and some decent backups. 5 - Safety is a huge question mark for me; it could either be a strength of this team with both starters from last year staying healthy and returning to good form, or A.Williams could get hurt again and we're back to an inconsistent Graham without him. 6 - We could go into the year with Lawson - Brown - Brown - Hughes at LBs and be ok, but we have zero depth behind them. I don't see anyone on the roster stepping up as a solid backup. I think we pick up 2 LBs in the draft.
  6. Here is my latest, I used CBSsports rankings and there is absolutely no way our draft would actually look anywhere near this 19: R1P19 DT A'SHAWN ROBINSON ALABAMA - Moving to a 3-4, I want big uglies up front, Marcel would be happy about this one 49: R2P18 DT VERNON BUTLER LOUISIANA TECH - I actually like Butler a bit more than Robinson, obviously this is a pipe dream. But Kyle will be gone soon and now we have a solid D-line for years to come 80: R3P17 OLB KYLER FACKRELL UTAH STATE - Edge Rushers needed 117: R4P19 ILB SCOOBY WRIGHT III ARIZONA - I liked Zach Thomas, so I like Scooby, my analysis is thorough, original and ripped directly from the draft website 139: R4P41 K ROBERTO AGUAYO FLORIDA STATE - I'm tired of missing extra points and this kid is sick. Free up a roster spot by getting rid of Gay and Carpenter 156: R5P17 WR CHARONE PEAKE CLEMSON - Yea, he's not lasting this long. He is one of the few WRs with actual speed in this draft. He reportedly has tiny hands, maybe he could run for president one day 192: R6P17 QB KEVIN HOGANSTANFORD - The smokescreen says he is the most Bills-ready QB in this draft. I picked him because half of you dress like hulkamaniacs at the stadium anyway 218: R6P43 CB KEIVARAE RUSSELLNOTRE DAME - It's my last pick and I went with a CB from Notre Dame because I think he could turn into a decent player, but also because I am highly biased. I think he could start as a dime CB and push to be a nickel. Not sure about putting him on the outside.
  7. It's crazy how like guys like Fuller and Cravens are always around in rounds 2-4 and yet there are a bunch of "experts" that consistently have them both going in the 1st. Nonetheless, these things are fun
  8. When Kujo came out the knock on him was that he had bad knees that could keep his career short. He had everyone fooled as far as how he projected as a player on the next level.
  9. Putting aside the fact that the comment is ignorant at best concerning our cap situation, you also REALLY need to keep in mind that the person making that statement was Michael Robinson, who is a close personal friend of Tyrod's. That's not a narrative, it's a friend making a comment and hoping it catches on so that his friend gets paid.
  10. Thank you for this, and I agree with John, picking up depth helps us keep the guys we have currently as backups off the field so I'm all for it
  11. We have too many holes on D at present, I'm fine signing him as depth I guess, but what we really need to sign are ILBs, not edge players who have lost too much of a step to sack the QB
  12. +1 The offense wasn't the problem last year, the defense was. Tyrod did enough to win us games and the D did enough to blow those games
  13. 19: R1P19 DE SHAQ LAWSON CLEMSON 49: R2P18 OLB SU'A CRAVENS USC 80: R3P17 DT ROBERT NKEMDICHE OLE MISS 118: R4P19 DT MATT IOANNIDIS TEMPLE 140: R4P41 OLB SCOOBY WRIGHT ARIZONA 157: R5P17 QB KEVIN HOGAN STANFORD 193: R6P17 CB LESHAUN SIMS SOUTHERN UTAH 219: R6P43 K KA'IMI FAIRBAIRN UCLA
  14. Gilmore is great, but he gets hurt. I just don't see how he thinks he's worth top 5 CB money
  15. This guy is a joke anyway, watch the video documenting Tyrod's draft process, the agent is completely clueless. Yes, it's agent gonna agent behavior, but he's not a very good agent.
  16. Well I believe TT is a legitimate franchise QB and Kap is not a good QB, so no.
  17. The whole thing is weird
  18. Wonder what he's gonna do with his newfound time off ...
  19. I've been to Philly, I was not impressed
  20. Is there a reason this couldn't have gone in the MOCK DRAFT THREAD?
  21. Well, my screename is an indication that I went to Notre Dame, so it's slightly less arbitrary than yours, but that's neither here nor there. You're also not really looking at the fact that we're switching to a 3-4, which means we need a NT more than we need a replacement for Mario. We desperately need a sideline to sideline ILB to pair with Brown, who seemed lost last year. We can pick up a NT in the 3rd or 4th round in this draft. You really don't think we can fill need at LB and maybe find an upgrade at RT in the first 2 rounds of the draft? By your own admission the rest of what we require is depth.
  22. Well obviously you are a super impartial in your view of the team as indicated by your name. We did not lose a starting CB, our starting CBs are Darby, Gilmore and Robey. We cut loose 2 players who are better suited to play in a 4-3 defense and had bad years last year. Please explain how a draft that is deep in D-line talent and has some pretty good linebackers in the early rounds will leave us with a "wash." We now have 5 picks in the first 4 rounds, I'd be shocked if we aren't a better team next year than this past year.
  23. Can these be traded, or not til next year? I've seen it reported both ways
  24. using DraftTek 19: R1P19 DE SHAQ LAWSON CLEMSON 49: R2P18 OLB SU'A CRAVENS USC 80: R3P17 OLB JOSHUA PERRY OHIO STATE 118: R4P19 TE NICK VANNETT OHIO ST 156: R5P17 OT WILLIE BEAVERS WESTERN MICHIGAN 195: R6P17 K ROBERT AGUAYO FLORIDA ST
