President cancels Eagles trip to White House
Mark Vader replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Weren't the Eagles one of a few teams that never took a knee during the national anthem last year? If so, why would they be protesting now? -
With schools starting to close, the Summer season of movies will be moving into full gear. Big name franchises with big name actors and big production costs will be in full force. There are plenty types to choose from and there could be a couple of surprises as well. Action is always the more prominent subject that rules this time of year and two movies will provide that, albeit in different formats. Universal gives us more dinosaurs as Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard star in, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom". When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. The last Jurassic movie showed that fans were more than willing to return to this franchise, and it also continued Chris Pratt's hot streak. Also starring Ted Levine, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, BD Wong, & Jeff Goldblum. It's been 14 years, but Disney and Pixar follow up their animated hit with, "Incredibles 2". Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for Jack-Jack while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world. Starring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Catherine Keener, Bob Oedenkirk, Isabella Rossellini, Sophia Bush & John Ratzenberger. Warner Bros. continues a franchise with a different turn with, "Ocean's 8". Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City's yearly Met Gala. Starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, & Awkwafina. A24 releases festival fave horror, "Hereditary". When the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. Starring Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff & Milly Shapiro. In the sequel that no one was expecting, "Sicario: Day of the Soldado", The drug war on the US-Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver re-teams with the mercurial Alejandro. Starring Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro, Catherine Keener, Isabela Moner & Matthew Modine. In "Tag", A small group of former classmates organize an elaborate, annual game of tag that requires some to travel all over the country. Starring Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Ed Helms, Isla Fisher, Annabelle Wallis, Rashida Jones, Leslie Bibb, & Jake Johnson. Jodie Foster stars in "Hotel Artemis". Set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles, 'Hotel Artemis' follows the Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only emergency room for criminals. Also starring Jeff Goldblum, Sofia Boutella, Sterling K. Brown, Charlie Day, Zachary Quinto & Dave Bautista. "SuperFly" is is a remake of the 1972 blaxploitation film 'Super Fly'. Starring Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell, Lex Scott Davis & Jennifer Morrison. John Travolta is "Gotti". The story of crime boss John Gotti and his son. Also starring Stacy Keach, Kelly Preston, Pruitt Taylor Vince & Spencer Rocco Lofranco. "Adift" is based on the true story of survival, a young couple's chance encounter leads them first to love, and then on the adventure of a lifetime as they face one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. Starring Shailene Woodley & Sam Claflin. In "Upgrade", Set in the near-future, technology controls nearly all aspects of life. But when Grey, a self-identified technophobe, has his world turned upside down, his only hope for revenge is an experimental computer chip implant called Stem. Starring Logan Marshall-Green, Richard Anastasios & Rosco Campbell. Johnny Knoxville stars in "Action Point". A daredevil designs and operates his own theme park with his friends. Also starring Brigette Lundy-Paine, Susan Yeagley & Johnny Pemberton. Finally, in "Uncle Drew", After draining his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem, Dax is dealt a series of unfortunate setbacks, including losing his team to his longtime rival. Desperate to win the tournament and the cash prize, Dax stumbles upon the man, the myth, the legend UNCLE DREW. Starring Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, Kyrie Irving & Shaquille O'Neal. You're welcome. I've stopped posting ever since the Sharks got eliminated, but i'm glad to see that there are others enjoying this thread. I have to admit it has been entertaining to read all of the comments

I don't have it because I watch every Bills game with my local Bills Backers group.

I've never bought this.

You do know that this is already a done deal? Warner Bros. & Legendary Pictures Monsterverse will have "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" for 2019, then there will be "Godzilla Vs. Kong" in 2020. I'm really looking forward to this series continuing. Just wish that Gareth Edwards was still involved. Check out this montage of videos called "Godzillathon" from Cinnemassacre. James Rolfe aka "The Angry Video Game Nerd" does a great job reviewing these movies. I believe this was put together in 2008. What's great about these videos is that each Godzilla film is shown in chronological order. Check it out.....

Roseanne Show cancelled by ABC after racist tweet
Mark Vader replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Of course I think what she said was racist. My point is that when you have a career in Hollywood, and if you start saying offensive things about Barack Obama or liberalism in general, you are putting your career at risk. Whereas if you bash Donald Trump or his supporters or causes they believe in, you are then a hero. Don't believe me? Watch "Grey's Anatomy". -
I fully agree with your last statement. The way L3-37 was going, I was expecting her to start singing "This is my Fight Song".

This is true. I misinterpreted what you originally posted. Sorry about that. -
Roseanne Show cancelled by ABC after racist tweet
Mark Vader replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I understand that reason. Turk71 had pointed out that ABC had millions of reasons to cancel this show BEFORE Roseanne's tweet. I want to know why he thinks that? The show had high ratings and was renewed for another season. Why would ABC have millions of reasons to cancel it? -
Roseanne Show cancelled by ABC after racist tweet
Mark Vader replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yet ABC was making $$$$$$$ from this show. It had high ratings. They had already renewed it for another season. If ABC had millions and millions of reasons to cancel it, why didn't they do so beforehand? -
Roseanne Show cancelled by ABC after racist tweet
Mark Vader replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Because she said something gross about Barack Obama and one of his top people from his administration. In Hollywood, especially at Disney, Barack Obama is God. If you make fun of him or question his motives, kiss your career goodbye. -

Well that sure was dumb on her part. -
They are, however, word of mouth is positive. Cinemascore grade was an "A-". Ok, so it just wasn't my perspective of it being dark? The movie looked like it had been shot with sunglasses over the camera. I thought that David Fincher had directed it. I was wondering if it was the digital projector that was causing that. Did this movie look very dark to anyone else?

Metro PCS girl. She is super cute, and that smile of hers can brighten anyone's day. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/w4Ia/metropcs-two-months-of-unlimited-data-free-peace

I understand that. I'm just going by what I had read. I am far more interested in a Boba Fett movie than Obi Wan. How was Chewbacca portrayed as an imbecile? That scene with Lando was awkward. I didn't get it at all. Unless it was just the droid's database that he was concerned about, which proved to be helpful. Still....bizarre scene.

I have to agree. I went into seeing this movie with modest expectations. The changing of director while it was still filming made me nervous. Then the rumors that it would be pushed back to December. Now that I've seen it, I enjoyed it very much. This was a fine addition into the Star Wars universe. The movie was a bit slow at the start, but it really kicked in as it went on. Donald Glover really stole the show as Lando, good roles by Woody Harrelson & Paul Bettany as well. Alden Ehrenreich did a fine job too. Then of course there is that one scene late in the movie that comes out of nowhere. You know what I'm talking about. Well played. From what I have read, they want to make more Solo movies. I say, Go for it!

What are your plans for this weekend?

Seeing "Solo" tomorrow night. Aside from that, staying home all weekend. Indy 500 on Sunday, and my uncle will be coming over to visit. Very low key. -
NFL's Best Kept Secrets: Jordan Poyer

The difference would be that Hyde had better production with the Packers than Poyer did with the Browns. -
Which Bills Moments Legitimately Made You Cry?
Mark Vader replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me too. I don't cry, I get enraged, then depressed. Which is probably worse. I just HATE losing.
