  1. He'd be a damn good insurance policy if EJ goes down. I shudder to think of it being Tuel Time again...
  2. It's almost like Derrick Brooks said in an interview about the late 90's Bucs. The offense isn't going to score so we better shut these guys out, Martin Grammatica can kick a FG and we win every game 3-0.
  3. It WAS a great place to live when I was in school and in my 20's. I lived there for eight years in all and it was the greatest time of my life. Of course, that was in the late 90's and from the few contacts I have left, things have changed. For one thing, there are lots more people living in the area. The music scene appears to be more selective, and Screen Gems is losing show after show to more friendsly movie making locations. I suppose it depends on what you like to do. Do you enjoy bars and college girls? Then you'll love it! If you like having the option of popping in to the beach for an hour or two on the fly its great. Only parking is hit and miss. There are/were some awesome restaurants in the area. Keep in mind, as you come into the city over the bridge you go through one if the less desirable areas of town, don't let that fool you, but for god sake, don't turn right or left until you get into past downtown. All in all, I probably would only more back if I'd had to take a job, but I have very young children. If it was just me and my wife, or just me, I'd probably consider it...
  4. I have no feeling either way in UB using all black, but if they are honoring to do so, I do like the matte black finish...
  5. Word is that a fan on the sidelines started swinging a helmet at a Cowboys player and the player retaliated by throwing some punches? Talk about a crazy situation...
  6. Wow. The cowboys no. 24 was being a dick, but I think that reaction was a tax excessive...
  7. I'm in the hospital, and it's my birthday. So pretty much anywhere other than jail at this point! Haha!
  8. Absolutely LOVE the rebranding back to the Hornets. I saw some photos of the new floor they installed on the court. It's got a subtle honeycomb pattern on the entire hardwood and it looks super cool!
  9. It's a really nice stadium. I was living in Charlotte in the 80's, when the city wAs deciding g where to put the football stadium and decided on smack dab in the middle of downtown, I thought it would never work. Tailgating remains an issue; it's pretty isolated, nothing like a Bills game. On a side note, the downtown revitialization in Charlotte has been nothing short of incredible. When I was a kid, you did t go downtown unless you were looking for trouble. Then the banks moved in, they built the stadium, and now it looks like a real city. I hear they put the new minor league baseball stadium downtown as well...
  10. I'm in the hospital, can't see the game. Is the Panthers first team D still in?
  11. For real. Not sure what is goin on, if the coaches are letting them be that aggressive or what, but they sure do get pissy with each other quick...
  12. Carolina's D-line is nasty. This will be a huge test for the offense, a d the O-li e in particular...
  13. Made my first call today. Free genie upgrade with the minis for my SD boxes, free HBO and Showtime, and 10 bucks off a month for a year. I had to sign a new agreement for 2 years, but what do I care? Directv is awesome. Only problem is he couldn't do totally free, could only do 1/2 off ST Max. Since I was claiming poverty, I couldn't take it right away (without getting budgetary financial approval from management), but he gave me the direct line to Customer Retention and a pass key to use for when I call back later. Edit: oh, and free ReZone channel too.
  14. Also, they are trying to qualify for the actual tournament in Japan, some of which is actually timed. It's four levels of hell, In like 25 years only six or seven guys have completed all four stages. It's Beyond insane...
  15. A Lombardi??? That's insane! It has to be the sales copy or a slightly defective one or something. I wouldn't think any one person, even the owner would have the authority to sell the SB trophy. Which brings up a question I have: there doesn't seem to be a great deal of wording on the trophies. Are they indistinguishable, or do they add details after the game is over? I've never seen one up close...
  16. Yuck! Just a bit of loft on that ball would have done it too. Reminds me of Kurt Warner's Super Bowl pick 6...
  17. What a beat down. Beings back bad Super Bowl memories... Somebody might get murdered for this one...
  18. Take it from me, it sucks. Diagnosed with ALL, a type of leukemia causing massive lymphomas in March this year. Spent 37 days in the hospital getting chemo and dropped from 155 to about 105 pounds. It literally almost killed me. Next week I go in for another four day treatment which is the halfway point of my kill phase. We are hopeful we can get it in remission. I'm lucky to have great support from family and friends or I would have been done for. I'm doing and feeling much better, things seems to be moving in the direction of goodness, if that makes sense. Cancer is strong on both sides of my family: my maternal grandmother died of lung cancer, my father has renal cell carcinoma (surgery this month for the second time), and two of my brothers have had Colon cancer. Sadly, one did not find out until it was stage four, but he made it three years and died last February. He was 55. But he saved my other brothers life, because we all went and got tested. I implore everyone to listen to their bodies and don't ignore symptoms. Go get your checkups guys. It's a literal pain in the ass, but it could save you or a family member...
  19. God, why? The uniforms look great. Maybe a blue facemask, but that would be it...
