I don't believe the NFL is fixed because there are way too many people involved in winning and losing football games. I do believe owners do what's best for their franchises. That means preventing players from reaching incentives, playing for draft picks, and so on...

I would be shocked if Buffalo doesn't promote Ryan Wendell to OL coach.

I was thinking about backup QB and Sam Darnold seems like the perfect guy. Friends with Josh Allen, now a connection with the QB coach. Imagine saying in 2018 we'd have both Josh Allen and Sam Darnold.

I don't know why he'd work with such a meanie like McDermott. More confirmation.

He's gotten credit for creating a passing offense that broke records. I tend to believe having Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall had the most to do with it. But he's a modern day football mind.

What's interesting is he's a WR that became a QB coach.

I also see Mike Shula joining the offensive staff in some capacity.

Ken Dorsey IMO is going to get a Head coach job after next season if everything goes as planned. Bills need someone ready to take over in a year. This would fit the bill.

I didn't know Dorsey was promoted to Passing Game Coordinator last year.

He's talked a lot about it. He said his interview in 2000 with the Bills wasn't much of an interview.

I like the idea of getting draft picks if your assistant coaches get hired for Head Coach jobs. I would add in picks if assistant coaches get a promotion. Meaning if a DB coach gets hired as a DC you get a pick. I don't want to compensate teams hiring minority head coaches. I just don't like the look of that. But reward teams that build quality staffs that help minority coaches get promoted. Also the NFL has to work with FBS college football. There aren't enough black coordinators.

Belichick would know exactly how Flores would react also.

The Rooney rule worked for Flores though. He's already been hired as a head coach. The Rooney rule is supposed to get your foot in the door. Flores was a position coach. How about change the Rooney rule. Former NFL head coaches don't satisfy the Rooney rule. That's one way to fix it.

There something like 14 black head coaches out of 130 FBS college football schools. How many black offensive coordinators do you think there are. It's not an NFL problem. College football is even worse when you think about boosters and alumni basically making the hires.

Not just NFL, college football. A lot of coaches work their way up. We just rarely see young black offensive coaches get QB coach and OC jobs.

I'm not happy with McDermott.
